Tori and Will will investigate three murders where the victims are unrelated, however, they were killed in the same way and the same type of rope. The leads point to a wealthy and young university student but he is acquited during trial when an unexpected surveillance video shows that he's not the killer. Tori and Will are released from the case but nevertheless they continue to investigate. The truth is more cruel than one can expect and the end although could be foreseen was not a sure thing. Hunt You Down is a story about lies, deceit, manipulation, a very dark and sick mind, which once you start reading you just need to reach the end! Deeply entertaining!

Oh my! This book has everything and more. I haven’t read the series but I need to read the rest asap. I genuinely had no idea what was coming. I looked at my time left on my kindle and couldn’t see how the truth would be revealed. With red herrings galore, and even when the murderer was revealed the bow and the why kept me guessing. This was an addictive thriller and one that I wish I could go back and read again. I thoroughly enjoyed every page. Big recommendation for this one!

Stelljes took a risk moving Tori into the professor role and it completely paid off. It was an unexpected shift that gave the character new dimension without losing anything that makes the series work. And as always the story pulled me in fast and did not let go.

I thoroughly enjoyed every part of this one. If you have followed Tori through the earlier books you will not be disappointed, and honestly this might be the best entry point for anyone just discovering the series.

Already counting down to the next one.

As always, the biggest thanks to Bookouture for inviting me to be part of the Books on Tour for the newest installment in the Agent Tori Hunter series.

This is a series that excites me even before I turn the page. I've grown invested in Tori's life, not only professional but personal.

In book #8 there feels like a massive shift has taken place and whilst it has changed the dynamics *no spoilers* I'm all for it.

Not only has Tori got a new job with a whole new environment, her place at the university is tough going. Juggling that with her 'job' of helping on certain cases can be exhausting but Tori is one tough and resilient woman and I don't think she'd have it any other way.

When her partner Detective Will Braddock receives a call in the early hours, he asks Tori to accompany him, which can only mean one thing.... it's bad!

Three university students have been killed, all in the same way and all part of the Lake Frat, having hosted or attended parties in their families lake houses.

Setting up a sting, Tori ends up in a foot chase with their suspect and manages to apprehended him... but nothing is as it seems. When surveillance proves that he isn't their killer, Tori realises they have been played.

Sometimes the mouse loves to play games with the cat thats hunting them!

Being placed at the university as Criminal Justice Instructor and teaching some of the students involved in the investigation, Tori has access to them unlike other investigators. Can she work her magic at picking up on those nuances that killers give off, the 'tells' she so easily reads?

This was a plot full of lies, deceit, secrets, revenge and pure jealousy.

A multi layered plot that had me turning the pages at lightning speed to keep up, Roger Stelljes is the master of weaving in wickedness with perfect pacing, it had me hook, line and sinker.

I loved how personal this one was portrayed Tori and Will, both feeling like they'd let each other down in different ways and both questioning their abilities, proving just how good they are together as a team. I've so enjoyed watching their relationship grow through the series.

This was completely and utterly absorbing, with fantastically complicated characters and tied up perfectly with a big bow.

Whilst it could be read as a stand alone, I hugely recommend starting at the very beginning... you won't regret it!

Let the bodies hit the floor!

Hunt You Down is the 9th action packed murder mystery in the Agent Tori Hunter series. A standalone that will make you go back and read every prequel and novel by Roger Stelljes, Hunt You Down has you double guessing your own sanity as the story unfolds.

This story has a 3/5 gore score and 4/5 language gauge, so heads up to the sensitive souls out there. By CHAPTER 22, there will be absolutely no doubt in your mind that this is not a cozy murder mystery. What the heck, Stelljes? Do you just write down your nightmares as soon as you wake up, or does this come from your conscious imagination?!? Some of these characters are demented and boy does that make for a good story! You almost feel bad for the bad guys! Gah! Sympathy for the evil humans is against the rules!

Agent Tori Hunter and Detective Will Braddock are back to solve similar murders in Manchester Bay. Following the evidence and clues left behind, they quickly determine this must be the work of a serial killer and use every resource at their disposal to narrow the suspect pool down until they believe they have their perpetrator. While under surveillance, they nab someone caught in the exact same circumstances as their serial killer! Could the story be over already?

I literally cannot say another word because it will give too much of the plot away- that's just 25% in! It gets wilder from there! I love that Stelljes describes our heroine as a "hunter"- she IS the one hunting the killer down in this book! Tori works alongside her team to get justice for the victims, even when the odds are stacked against them. You'll root for them, question your own conclusions, then have your jaw hit the floor when the big reveal comes! I love that it was so early in the story so readers could have the killers perspective too! Brilliant, Stelljes!

HUNT YOU DOWN (Agent Tori Hunter Book #9) by Roger Stelljes is a diabolically twisted addition to the Agent Tori Hunter series that reminds me once again why I love these books. While each book continues to follow the lives and relationships of all the main characters and citizens of Manchester Bay, Minnesota, the author does an excellent job of encapsulating their stories and the criminal case in each, so they can each be easily read as a standalone crime thriller/police procedural.

Agent Tori Hunt is teaching Criminal Justice full-time now at the university, but when her partner Detective Sergeant Will Braddock gets an early morning call, he asks her to accompany him when he is told there is another murder of a university student. As the investigation heats up, Tori and Braddock discover the two dead girls were members of Lake Frat. The group consists of wealthy college students who use their family homes on the lakes for exclusive private parties, and they believe their killer is a member.

When a sting is set up for a probable suspect, it all goes awry. Tori is in a foot chase to capture the suspected killer and when he goes to trial, the case blows up in embarrassment for Tori and the prosecution in court when a third girl is killed in the same manner. Tori and Braddock know they are being manipulated but proving it beyond a reasonable doubt is the problem.

This is an excellent addition to this series! There are so many twists and red herrings in the criminal plot that I kept reading to the end. All the books in this series have had gripping criminal plots I have loved, but this is now my favorite. Tori and Braddock continue to be an intelligent pair of supportive and loving protagonists with the entire cast of secondary characters in the sheriff’s department giving the reader a strong police procedural. After these nine books, I feel like I am visiting old friends and cannot wait to return. This is a thriller series that checks all my boxes and leaves me wanting more.

I highly recommend this captivating criminal thriller/police procedural!

Yes, I am on BOOK 9 of the Tori Hunter series and YES, I am still completely invested.
Actually, invested might be the wrong word.
Obsessed.
At this point, hand me a Tori Hunter book and I will disappear because I swear I can devour these books in one sitting. There is just something about this series that keeps pulling me back in, and Hunt You Down was absolutely no different.
This one starts with a brutal murder of a university student, and things only get darker from there. When another murder is connected by the same type of rope, Tori is pulled into a case that hits close to home because she teaches Criminal Justice at the university. Now she's questioning students, digging into Lake Frat, and trying to figure out who is behind these murders before another student becomes a victim.
And let me tell you, I was INVESTED. 👀
I loved the university setting in this one because it gave the story such a creepy feeling. You have all these students going to class, attending parties, living their normal lives while someone could literally be watching and hunting them. The whole time I kept wondering who could possibly be behind it and how close the killer actually was.
And Tori?
I seriously love this woman.
Nine books in and I'm still not tired of following her through these cases. I love watching how she approaches each investigation and how she pieces things together. She has become one of those characters where I don't even need to know what the next case is about. I'm reading it because Tori is in it.
Roger Steles has created a series that somehow keeps me coming back for more, and Hunt You Down once again had me hooked from beginning to end.
The suspense, the twists, the murders, the investigation, and that constant feeling that the killer could be closer than anyone realizes had me turning pages like my life depended on it.

One of my favourite authors delivers yet again, proving why their work deserves far more attention from crime fiction readers. This latest instalment is a gripping, atmospheric thriller that pulls you straight into the danger simmering beneath university life. The murder of a bright young student sends shockwaves through Manchester Bay, and the investigation spirals into a world of hidden loyalties, secret parties, and a killer who moves effortlessly among the unsuspecting. The pacing is tight, the tension relentless, and every chapter raises the stakes. I was completely absorbed, turning pages with that familiar mix of dread and excitement that this author always manages to ignite.

Agent Tori Hunter and Detective Will Braddock shine in this instalment, but it’s Tori’s emotional connection to the students and her fierce determination to protect them that gives the story its beating heart. As she digs deeper into the shadows surrounding Lake Frat, the truth becomes more dangerous than anyone expects. The possibility that a predator is walking among the students, attending their classes, cheering at their games, and choosing their next victim adds a chilling urgency. Hunt You Down is a tense, fast-moving crime thriller featuring Agent Tori Hunter and Detective Will Braddock. When a university student is murdered and the evidence connects her death to another case, the investigation leads to an exclusive student group, secret lakeside parties, and an impressive number of people who are clearly hiding something. Apparently, college wasn’t already stressful enough.

Tori is a capable and determined investigator, and her position as a criminal justice instructor gives her useful access to the students. The investigation is detailed without becoming too dry, and the steadily growing list of suspects kept me guessing. Just when the evidence appears to point in one direction, another revelation arrives to make everyone—and everything—look suspicious again.

At 464 pages, the story feels a little long in places, and readers unfamiliar with the series may miss some of the history between the recurring characters. Fortunately, the central mystery works well enough on its own, so starting with book nine is possible, if slightly rebellious.

Overall, this is an absorbing police procedural with strong characters, plenty of twists, and a satisfying cat-and-mouse investigation. It’s a good choice for anyone who enjoys campus mysteries, complicated suspects, and investigators who stubbornly refuse to take a sensible day off. Four stars.

A big change for Tori Hunter—and one that will take me a little time to get used to.

This book marks a significant shift in the series. Tori has a new job, a new environment, and a rather different life at the university. I tried very hard not to compare it to the earlier books, but I have to admit that it’s difficult when you’ve grown so attached to the old style and the world of the previous instalments. And, if I’m being completely honest, I still prefer the old style.

That said, I enjoyed this one. I’m sure that, as the series moves forward, I’ll get used to this new chapter in Tori’s life and hopefully come to love her university world just as much as I loved what came before.

The case itself was intriguing and had a slightly different approach. The twists are revealed to the reader along the way, so instead of constantly wondering who did it?, we get to watch the investigation unfold as Tori and the team work backwards, trying to prove what they already suspect. I found that surprisingly enjoyable, and it kept me turning the pages.

Not my favourite Tori Hunter book so far, mainly because of the change in direction, but still a solid and entertaining crime thriller. I’m definitely sticking with Tori to see where this new chapter takes her.

As always, this series delivers! I had absolutely no doubt I would devour this book. I’ve been a fan of the Tori Hunter series since 2025, when I first discovered it on Instagram, and I was immediately drawn in by its perfect blend of action, detective work, and legal-thriller elements.

As an avid fan of action movies, this series gives me that same adrenaline-fueled vibe and then some. The tension, twists, and investigative work had me completely hooked. I was so invested that I literally had to cover my Kindle to stop myself from skimming ahead just to find out what happened. 😂

Hunt You Down by Roger Stelljes is a suspenseful thriller. There were a few gasp-out-loud moments and revelations. Sometimes, the pacing lagged a bit, and I didn't need the scenes with Tori and Braddock in Florida!

The story follows Agent Tori Hunter and Detective Will Braddock as they investigate the shocking murder of university student Cami Margot. The author does a good job of conveying the emotional weight of the tragedy with vivid descriptions and a tense atmosphere. The tension escalates as Tori skillfully pieces together clues while wrestling with her moral responsibilities. Each chapter reveals more about the victims and their connections to the Lake Frat, adding layers of intrigue, and the sense of dread builds steadily as Tori realizes that the murderer may be closer than she ever imagined.

Overall, Hunt You Down is a tense read that combines mystery, psychological tension, and rich character development. I would recommend this book and this series.

The story started out a little flat but picked up pace around the middle of the book. However, even it it had tension, I wouldn't call it a nail-biting or edge of the seat thriller. I felt like the story was written with the view of how to tie it sll together to the end. Some things don't really make sense in the story for me, like the conclusions the police reached, the logics they used to arrive at the identification of the culprits. It also had too much courtroom procedures included and ultimately, the entire thing dragged on more than needed. It's a good read, a fun read but definitely not a must-read.

Wow! This one had me hooked from page 1!
Tori has been teaching full-time, but when a murder occurred at the college where she works, Braddock inlists her help.
This murder has some similarities to one that occurred a few months ago, and both Tori and Braddock know that if they are connected, there will probably be more.
They narrow down a suspect, but all isn't as it seems. There are some great twists, turns, and red herrings that kept me guessing. I never knew where the story was going. Even when they identified the suspect, they still had to prove what went down. And that proved to be a whole different kind of problem.
I was on the edge of my seat, reading this in one sitting. I just had to know how this was going to end. I can't wait to see whats in store for Tori and Braddock next!!

They quickly realize that certain details match the killing of another university student. When a third student is attacked, Tori and Will must work quickly to find the common thread that ties the victims together. Could it be a frat party, and a student within their midst?

Sometimes I finish a book by sheer force of will, and not because I particularly enjoyed it. Unfortunately, this is one of those books. It took longer to read than it should have because I wasn't invested in the characters nor intrigued by the plot.

Wow! My college life was never like this!🏫🏃

Fantastically twisted murder mystery involving dark doings on campus among the elite set. Ex-FBI agent Tori Hunter is right there, hand in glove with her police detective husband Braddock, doubly concerned because her lecturing on campus has her invested in the student victims. Such cold, callous violence and the legal system, particularly Tori's actions, put under the microscope after a wealthy athletic star suspect is nabbed, charged and tried.

I thought I knew the direction the story was going and, time after time, I was wrong!

I really enjoyed this installment of the series! This case was more complex than the others and gave Braddock & Hunter a really hard time- not just in the case but the trial, the public nature of it, it just made for an even more interesting story. The only criticism I have is that Tori was sometimes a bit of a stereotype of a woman (the bikinis, the way she worries about whether she and Braddock will continue having enough sex, ect.) and it sometimes bordered on bimbo behavior whereas in reality she is an experienced, top-of-her-game FBI Agent. I'd like to see her be a little less girly and a little more badass, but it wasn't so over the top that it was distracting. Overall just super solid, probably my favorite so far.

I knew Tori wouldn’t be able to stay away from police work for long. Even though she’s teaching at the local college, her man Will sucks her right back in to his newest case. A psychopath going after young college women, people connected to Tori and her class and their friends.

I love the way Tori’s mind works. And that she doesn’t always ask for permission when she makes decisions. There are moments in this one when she puts herself at risk because she doesn’t want anyone else to get hurt.

I had to force myself to put this one down to go to bed, way past my bedtime, last night, and picked it up first thing this morning. I’m anxiously awaiting more from Roger and Tori and her crew.

Hunt You Down by Roger Stelljes is a quick, gripping thriller that grabs your attention and doesn't let go. When a student is found dead after a local party, a small-town investigation quickly turns into a high-stakes search for a killer hiding in plain sight. The story moves fast, with twists to keep you guessing about who is actually responsible. The main characters are great together.
The book does a great job of building tension, turning community a setting into a backdrop for a creepy, suspenseful game of cat and mouse. It’s a solid, satisfying page-turner that mystery fans will easily fly through.

This is the 9th book in the Agent Tori Hunter series. I’ve read another one in the series and loved it so was looking forward to the next instalment. The storylines are always high risk and keep you on your toes. It moves at a steady pace that keeps you guessing with many the twist and turn. I really love the characters, the relationships and all the dynamics and I just love a book series that you look forward to getting stuck into. I’m only 2 books into this series but love it already. I’m here for the drama, the antics and all that comes in between.

Welcome return of Tori and Braddock. Seems such a long time. There students hell bent on revenge against others who have wronged them over the years. Wembley, vile female psychopath, cold hard and calculating, baiting Tori whose class she attends in college, Corrin, sociopath seeking revenge on a rival football player who ended his career and Rhoudi, wealthy young man wanting a way put of joining his father’s business. Twists and turns ending with deaths and injuries to innocent people all the while toying with the police, Tori in particular. Great story! Hopefully not long to wait for the next book.

Book 9 in the Agent Tori Hunter series didn't disappoint! Tori, a professor and investigator, offers a unique perspective on a chilling case.

The drama and tension are intensified as Tori and Will chase a brutal serial killer, using every tool available. I love thrillers that challenge me, and I thought I had this one figured out... spoiler: I didn't! The twists and tension were unexpected.

If you enjoy crime fiction with a strong female lead and a plot that keeps you guessing, you need to pick up this series! 📖✨

Hunt You Down by Roger Stelljes is book 9 in the Agent Tori Hunter Series. The book is published by Bookouture.
I'm a fan of the author's writing for some time now and I couldn't wait to get my hands on this latest book.
My expectations were high and they were fullfilled to the highest standart.
Masterfully written, literally unputdownable with just the right amount of drama, danger, suspense and romantic.
I recommend this gem of a story, 5 stars.

A very good, edge of your seat thriller which intrigued me from the start. Book 9 in the Agent Tori Hunter series but can easily be read as a stand alone. I loved the plotting, there was plenty of suspense and twists to hook the reader in and the characterisation was good. The pacing did slow a bit in the middle but the satisfying ending made up for that. A solid thriller for fans to enjoy. Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC.

you really need to read this book yourself... its a game changer...

the hits never stop coming with this book right from the first page till the last...

This book threw some real curves balls.
Initially I thought it’s too soon for the culprit to have been caught so I wondered where the book was going.
I was blown away at the turn of events and what was truly transpiring.
I also couldn’t wait for Hunter and Braddock to set the traps to catch the rats who thought they were more clever than seasoned law enforcement.
The take downs were a pleasure to read.
