Dang‼️Even the Author’s trigger warning didn’t prepare me for this level of devastation ….in one book😮‍💨🤯😭😢😒💔‼️Meanwhile, Alecia J. was another ✨Debut Author✨ & “Concrete Tears” - Book 1 character & plot development was executed to perfection (especially considering the subject matter). However, “Daddy’s stayed”🧐 ? ….Well done Ms. Alecia J. 💐💐💐👏🏽👏🏾👏🏿

Be ready to CRY!! I was not readyyyy. Whew talk about HEAVY!? GRIEF!? Even with the heaviness & rawness of this book it was still SO good. It’s honestly just so real, real life situations & I agree with the author, a book doesn’t always have to have a HAE to stick with you. I read this 2 days ago & I’m still staring at the wall sad as hell.

Alecia J is such an intentional author & it really shows in this book.

Book Title: Concrete Tears
Author: Alecia J
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Concrete Tears was such an emotional and thought-provoking read. This story carries a powerful message about grief, loss, remembrance, and the reality that tomorrow is never promised. There were moments that genuinely made me pause and reflect long after I finished reading.

One quote that really stood out to me was:

“Life can change before we have time to understand what is happening. It can take people who still had plans, birthdays, trips, and ordinary days waiting for them. That is why we cannot keep treating tomorrow like something we are owed. I contemplated coming here today, but I came because they all deserved to be remembered.”

WHEW. That quote alone speaks volumes. 💔 It is such a beautiful reminder to appreciate the people we love, live in the moment, and never assume we are guaranteed another day.

Alecia J did an amazing job creating a story that not only pulls at your heartstrings but also leaves you with something meaningful to carry with you. Concrete Tears is more than a story it is a reminder to love deeply, cherish the ordinary moments, and remember those who are no longer here to make more memories.

Definitely a 5-star read for me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

amazing

When I tell you I had to keep a whole roll of tissue next to me while reading, I am NOT exaggerating! 😭 The way Alecia J. wrote this story had my heart hurting, my emotions all over the place, and me crying more times than I can count. There were moments I was frustrated, moments I was heartbroken, and moments I just had to sit the book down and breathe.
But what I loved most is that I understood what the author was doing. Every emotion, every situation, every painful moment had a purpose, and she made me **feel** it. This wasn’t just a book I read it was an emotional experience.
Whew! 😩❤️‍🩹 **Concrete Tears definitely lived up to its name.** My heart is still hurting, but I’m so glad I read it. Alecia J., you really put me through it with this one! 😭👏🏾🌹

Masterpiece on Grief, Resilience and the Ties That Bind

What follows is an exquisitely written exploration of the human spirit. Alecia J handles grief and legacy with such raw honesty, grace, and emotional depth that you cannot help but feel every single ounce pain and triumphs alongside her. A force to navigate a future never imagined, carrying the heavy weight of unanswered questions and unsaid words, of a journey that becomes a powerful testament to survival and self-discovery.

This is not just a story about heartbreak; it is an unforgettable tribute to the fierce, unbreakable strength of family and the enduring power of love that remains even after tragedy strikes. It will linger in your thoughts long after you turn the final page. @TarshBeReading

Concrete tears… no grief is the same 😩🥺😢

Kayori was a strong one. Life just isn’t fair… it kept knocking her down! She went through it and took me through it right along with her!! She held on as long as she could. I have never cried reading a book the way I read this one!! I’m done with you Alecia cause why would you do this to me??!! Kru that beautiful, angel on earth! Everyone loved him. He was such a great guy, daddy, and husband! Little Miss Kassidy. All that spunk and glitter. Kayori didn’t know it, but Kassidy asked for a sibling for a reason. It’s like she knew what life had in store. Make them proud Khyson! I’m just still in tears over here. So many gems dropped in this book. Especially by Kayori’s mom. Man oh man. I can’t get over this book.

I have been crying the last 2 days reading this. It takes a lot to make me cry when reading normally and that’s usually just a little misty eye no I was full blown crying. This book will take you on a journey and it definitely makes you realize that today or tomorrow is not promised and that we are not in control. This quote stood out to me the most:

“I said that to say… please, love people while they can still hear you. Apologize before pride turns into regret. Take the picture. Answer the call. Sit a little longer. Ask one more question. Ordinary moments do not announce when they are becoming memories.”

Alecia J I am sending you my therapy bill lol. Thank you in advance 😂😢

Concrete Tears was such a beautiful and emotional read. Alecia J. did a phenomenal job with this story. The love was FELT and that made every emotional moment hit even harder. Just thinking about this book makes me emotional. I cried the whole time while reading because this one truly pulled on my heartstrings.

Beautiful, heartbreaking, and filled with so much love. I hope whoever reads this takes their time and really takes in the message behind the story. Go in with an open mind and a big heart.

This book reminded me to live life to the fullest, enjoy the moments I have, be safe, and love on my family a little harder.

I really have no words for this book. When I say she said you need to keep Kleenex near you really do. this book did such a good job unfolding the realities of life that sometimes happen. The amount of loss and pain a person goes through as well as them trying to make it for the bigger picture. This book gave me hope so many times to just drop hurt on me but I can appreciate it cause sometimes outcomes are messy and tragic and no one really wins and you have to live with that and keep pushing. I lit would not change anything about this book, the author did a phenomenal job. I can't wait for more in the future according to her. 10 stars 😍

Ma’am….

This was an automatic download for me just because you’ve written some other great stories. I was not expecting the emotions this book brought forth. I found myself gasping and crying and praying along with the characters. I skip trigger warnings cause 9 times out of 10…imma still read it. This was heavy and it’s usually not what I want to read. But hoooooooney chile! This was hard but I enjoyed it. Thank you for Grandma. I was so hoping the ending was different but the way it ended was still good. I can’t wait to read more about Khyson.

Emotional

This book was so good. Make sure to have a box of tissues. It will make you think about your own loss, and how you keep, keeping the faith. Even though it is fictional it is a lesson in it. The lesson is that more people need to get their affairs in order, have the hard talk about death. We all have to die just don't know when.
