This is the second instalment of the Bonds series and in my opinion it is the better one. I loved the development of the characters and the intricately woven storyline. The author really seems to have found her voice in this book too. Loved it, and can’t wait for the next.
Avoiding spoilers gets harder as a series progresses, so I'll just share a few thoughts...
1. Ebenezer gives me major "Gold" vibes (the Rumplestiltskin character from Once Upon A Time). I think it's all the deals and "dearie"s!
2. We have a new supernatural character in this book and she is brilliant and fiesty!
3. It's really interesting to see how Becca and Antony's relationship is evolving, but that ending...! I'm going to have to go straight into Book 3 now!
Oh and 4. Jakes is back and he's still all caring and fatherly.
And 5. Spooks just gets better and better. Love that cat!
