Such A Funhouse
Henry 磊磊 Roark’s third collection is a house tour that won’t reveal a floor plan. Foyer, empty rooms, alcove—each threshold hints at orientation and delivers distortion instead. This is architecture in the tradition of Piranesi’s impossible structures built to disorient rather than shelter.
Hybrid text and visual art move room to room through mood swings tracked like atmospheric pressure, mirrors that used to be windows, a mind like a diamond diagnosing itself in real time, using whatever form the feeling clinical assessments, weather reports, letters, a text.
A funhouse distorts to reveal, not to deceive.
