I have really loved this series, and yet I question whether I will succumb to the not so exciting thrall of the next novel. Let me qualify here by stating that I absolutely loathe Romeo and Juliet style stories. Please, it wasn't a new concept when Shakespeare used it, and it's completely worn out its welcome by the time I've left school and headed into the 21stC.

The action is good, and the storyline was going well until I was ultimately forced to acknowledge the encroaching feeling of 'oh, please don't do this'. And I'm not sure if I'm submissive enough to succumb to the next book. Sigh.

The book moves on to the whole thing of 'discover your magic'. Again? No no noooo.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I read the first two books in this series, Shifty Magic and Undercover Magic, and was left wanting more. In Savage Magic, I got more! Judy Teel has truly left me speechless with this novel. I feel like I was on an emotional roller coaster from page one. Not many authors can take you from laughing out loud on one page to a tear-jerking mess on the next and make the transition seamless. Judy has done that. It is so easy to get attached to these characters and their experiences. The character development throughout the three novels leaves you feeling like you are right there with them.

As for the story, there are some sad and depressing events. This is not a happily-ever-after fairy tale. If you want a book to end with a perfect romance ending, this is not your book. It is third in a series, so there is more to come in the storyline and we don't know where that path will lead yet. There are also some tense action scenes and hilarious, smart-aleck moments that are so typical of Addison and Cooper. More background information is given on Addison's history as well. I won't give spoilers, simply because you must read this for yourself to truly experience the ride. The ending is not where I expected it would go, but I'm sure Judy has a better plan for Addison and Cooper than I do. I want Book #4 now!!

As a side note: I do not typically go in search of an author for more information. After reading the first book, I was so impressed with the storyline and Mrs. Teel's writing that I went on an internet search to find her so I could find book two and see when the third book was being released. I have only done this three other times in my life. That is a testament to the writing style and the quality of work Mrs. Teel produces.

Judy Teel emerses you in to her paranormal world of werewolves, vampires, and magic practitioners with her heroine Addison in the center of it all. Savage Magic, the third in Judy Teel's series. Addie and the love of her life Cooper, who is next in line to be alpha in his wolf pack. It is up to Addie to find a cure for a horrid disease that is killing the pack. This amazing story will have you on an incredible ride with the incredible love story, and the amazing action with incredible battles and the great scares of dealing with dealing with all of the paranormal community! This fabulous story covers it all! So, whatever you enjoy, you might as well go ahead and hit purchase for Savage Magic. Because I am telling you, you will not be disappointed!

You know it's a good book when you can't stop reading, not even to go to bed. It's a great book when you love the characters so much that you feel their pain. When I found myself crying for the pain of Addison and Cooper I knew that this book was one of my favorite reads during this year. This book I'd read and re read. Again and again.

I highly recommend this book, and the previous ones for any urban fantasy reader who likes a strong and sassy female lead.

I was spoiled. I got to read the first three books in one big gulp, only to find out Savage Magic came out this June so I will have to wait for Dark Magic *whine*. Very bad things happen in Savage Magic. Death, betrayal, prejudice...did I mention death?? Savage Magic reinforces the "dark" in dark contemporary fantasy. The story is good, the world is well-built, and this series is very good.

I received Savage Magic as an ARC. The gifting did not determine the review/rating, which reflects my honest opinion. Absolutely loved the direction the series is taking! This was another edge-of-the-seat ride, and I devoured the book in one sitting. Excellent advancement of the thread which started in the prior two books, and we are left at the with more possibilities and expectations for the 4th novel. I love this author's writing style. I was reading an ARC, so a few mistakes were noted, but they didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the book.

This book didn't even make sense. I don't understand why it has so many 4-5 stars. Filled with cliches and halfway done plot points it was almost DNF for me. I can't believe people loved it. No spoilers here but christ it was obnoxious. Normally books get better from 1-3 but this series was didn't grow from 1-2 and the backslide here in 3 is enough for me to quit the series. Bummer.

This series just keeps getting better and better. Now there's a disease destroying Cooper's clan so Addie and Cooper along with the rest of their crew head out to see what they can do to help. What follows almost destroys Addie and Cooper along with the clan. Addie finally has proof of what she is and now knows how to control it but can't let the clan know. She's not welcomed with open arms into the clan because they think she's human so they don't like that she's with Cooper. There's plenty of action and suspense to keep you hooked. I love the characters and the writing flows perfectly off the page I felt like I was watching a movie in my head, I could picture everything and everyone.
OMG when I got to the end I wanted to throw something at the wall I was so upset. I can't wait for the next book I need to see what's next.

As a horrific plague runs rampant through the werewolf ranks, fingers point and passions ignite as the real culprits remain anonymous. Addison and Cooper follow the meager leads but their investigation becomes stagnate even as the body count rises.

As this series unfolds Addison continues to evolve and gain confidence. The passion she shares with Cooper feels just right and I love the way their relationship and trust in each other continues to grow. The dystopian world they inhabit also continues to mesmerize and ensnare my imagination. This is another exciting story line from the very talented Judy Teel.

This book was given to me in exchange for my honest review.

Words are really hard for me right now. I feel sucker punched. The deaths, the destruction, the finding only to lose again. I feel betrayed, even knowing that there may be a fix in the next book. Kim Harrison readers will understand what I am referring to. I would like to give it a 2 because I am NOT happy with the ending, but how can I do that when that's the story?? Does that make sense?? Sigh... I can't wait for the next books, but my heart is hurting right now...

This time around in the saga that is Addison and Cooper, we venture into Cooper's family territory and well, let's just say that Addison isn't liked. She seems to have that problem everywhere but this is worse than ever. A disease is killing off the wolves and there are those who would tear Cooper and Addison apart while Addison still has a big bad to deal with. This one will end breaking your heart but I have full faith in the author to see us through it! Excellent book!

Agh the tears

Wow, I think this had been the best one yet. There were so many twists and turns along with unexpected loss. Usually, I can predict what will happen next song with the ending, yet I had not anticipated what happened. My heart had broken for Addison. I cannot wait until the next book.
