MC Sons of Ragnarök #1

Poison Apple: Snow White and the MC Beast

Not yet published
Expected 13 Oct 26
They call me fairy-tale beauty made flesh.
But I’m just Annika.
I’ve already buried one man I loved. I’m still haunted by the ghosts of my past. I have one rule: Nobody gets close to my son.
Fate—or the Norse Gods—had other plans:
Shove me on a pitch-black parking lot. Drop a six-foot-six Sons of Ragnarök patch-wearer—inked, ruthless, and fourteen years my senior. I’m frozen in terror. My fearless two-year-old with zero sense of danger? Both arms. Open wide. And the Beast takes my boy like he’s always belonged to him.
“I’m Ronny ‘Leif’ Reinhardt, and I rule the Sons of Ragnarök with absolute power.
Protection money? I call it insurance premium. A broken arm? Just business.
Innocence has never been my weakness. Until a tiny redhead barrels into my life and the beast in me finally meets its match. The feeling is foreign, dangerous, and fuckin’ addictive. I’m everywhere now. Watching. Guarding.”
Guarding? And why is he smirking? And calling our encounters “coincidence”?
My head calls him obsessed. My body is obsessed. With him. Starts sending SOS.
But the most terrifying part? He doesn’t rip my clothes off. He looks me in the eyes and asks, “May I?”
—
There’s no going back. The poison apple is already bitten. ONE BITE, and you’ll be stuck in Germany’s industrial wasteland where the darkness hits harder—not for lack of light, but because hope, love, and beauty only increase the level of destruction. A dark, twisted Snow White retelling × outlaw biker romance. ONE BITE, Snow White… and the Beast never lets you go.
Five books. One arc. This is where the found family saga begins.
This is book one of five — a slow burn that starts gentle and builds. Come for the Golden Retriever moments, stay for the abyss that follows.

MC President x Single Mom + Age Gap + Danger Difference + Forbidden Romance + Slow Burn
Opposites Attract + He Falls First + Emotional Angst + Found Family + High Stakes Romance
German Industrial Town + Outlaw MC + Instant Bond With Her Toddler + Gang Territory Rivalry
Steamy Romance + Emotional Healing + “We Shouldn’t Be Together” + Heavily Earned Happily Ever After

Triggers: Part of a series. Not for soft Disney princesses — but also not wall-to-wall blood, grief, and questionable consent. This first part starts gentle: toddler chaos, food, sarcasm. The menace builds. All of it delivered eventually. Read with discretion

Katlyn created a modern world where life takes turns and brings us to the edge of our seats. I fell in love with this book from page one, and devour every single word in one sitting.
I can't wait for the next books in the series!

My Rating: ★★★★★

(Why does GoodReads not have a fucking 6 star option!)

Okay, Katlyn had me at Brothers Grimm × Snow White × dark MC romance retelling.

That was it.

That was all I needed.

You could've stopped talking right there because my ARC application was already metaphorically submitted.

But HOLY FUCK did Poison Apple by Katlyn S. Coen deliver.

At only 112 pages, this little fucker had absolutely no business sinking its claws into me as deeply as it did. I inhaled it. Devoured it. And if someone offered to selectively erase those 112 pages from my memory purely so I could experience them for the first time again?

Hand me the paperwork.

I received an advance copy of this book at no charge. This is my honest,
voluntary review.

I was hooked after the first chapter! The book is the first in the Sons
of Ragnarök MC: Germany series. The book starts out with meeting the FMC
Annika and her son Finn. We learned a lot about Annika's background, how
she got to where she is, and how resilient she is. When the MMC Ronny is
really introduced the interactions between him and Finn became my
favorite parts. Finn being described as having ""zero sense of danger""
is the most accurate description ive ever seen on a character. Even with
the book having its darker themes that it touches on there is plenty of
humor mixed in. Annika's inner dialog had me cracking up at times. The
flow of the story was perfect in it didnt feel drug out or rushed. I
read this in less than a day because I really could not put it down. We
do get left with a big cliffhanger leaving me dying to get my hands on
the next in the series.

I received an advance copy of this book at no charge. This is my honest, voluntary review.

To start off, I found Poison Apple to be a nice, quick read. It’s a biker romance with dark/mature themes. I loved the characters and the world building. Especially how the viewpoints shifted between Annika and Ronny at times. Ronny’s just this big gruff biker who tries to act all tough when in reality he’s got hidden golden retriever energy especially around Annika’s son Finn. I also like how Annika finds her voice throughout the book and develops a sharp tongue. I found it to be an enjoyable read overall. I devoured it within a few hours, and I found the pacing to be good. Honestly, I cannot wait to read the next book and dive more into Annika and Ronny’s story.

Insofern also alles richtig gemach! 👍👍

Kritikpunkte:

Poison Apple drops you into the middle of Annika's life — a single mom scraping by in a German industrial town, running a beauty salon, raising a toddler, and trying to stay afloat after losing nearly everything. Then a massive, red-bearded biker named Ronny keeps showing up at the worst moments, and what starts as a terrifying encounter in a dark parking lot becomes something neither of them planned for. The Snow White framing is clever and intentional without being heavy-handed, and the German MC setting is genuinely fresh — you don't see a lot of dark romance set in this world.

What works is the contrast between them. Annika is sharp, stubborn, and fiercely protective of her son. Ronny is a criminal who runs protection rackets and brothels but melts completely around a toddler in a pink princess sweatshirt. The slow build of their relationship through shared meals, tattoo removal appointments, and Ronny quietly inserting himself into their lives is charming and surprisingly warm. The food descriptions alone are worth the read.

My main gripe is that it's short, and it feels short. The characters are compelling enough that I wanted more room to breathe — more of Annika's backstory with Nico and Mechthild, more of Ronny's history with the club and his father, more time watching them actually fall for each other instead of being told it's happening. The foundation is strong, but it needed more pages to let the emotional architecture settle. That said, it's clearly the first course of a longer meal, and the author tells you that upfront. The cliffhanger is brutal and effective, and I'll absolutely be reading Part 2.

If you want a dark romance with a setting you haven't seen before, a hero who's terrifying to everyone except one small child, and a heroine who doesn't make it easy for him — take the bite. Just know you're signing up for a series, not a standalone.

Sons of Ragnarok MC - Germany: Ronny & Annika

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Please note, I received an advance copy of this book at no charge. This is my honest, voluntary review.

This was my first time reading an MC romance set somewhere other than the US, Australia or England, and I definitely found it interesting adjusting to the different names, language and setting.
Ronny and Annika’s story is a dark, twisted tale with an outlaw biker romance thrown in, and there are definitely some scenes that are going to make you uncomfortable. I’m not a fan of action between the MMC/MFC with others, and in particular that scene was not exactly enjoyable at all…

I really enjoyed the dynamic between Ronny, Annika and her little boy, especially the way that unexpected connection develops. He’s invested, but doesn’t seem to understand what is happening, but Finn is a little cutie who likely wins over even the hardest people.
That said, it did feel a little clunky at times, and the ‘romance’ side hasn’t really started yet, so it will be interesting to see how it will play out.

There’s danger, obsession, a slow-burn romance and plenty of darkness building beneath those early lighter moments.

And then…
Holy smokes, that cliffhanger!

Needless to say, I’m going to need to know what happens next!

The cover of this book had me intrigued, but I was captured by the synopsis, which promised no non-consensual spice and they were true to their word. They did however promise toddler chaos and delivered in spades!

This short book, is the first part in a series, where the spice and tension builds. I loved the edge to this book, coupled with the many fairy tale references. It was not at all what I expected from a dark romance and I loved it.

The MMC is very morally grey (all the best are), but completely floored by a little ginger toddler. He is only soft for the FMC and I cannot wait to see their relationship grow. I can feel he is going to be a world-burning, who did this to you, kind of badass! I read this book in one sitting and the cliff-hanger had me on the edge of my seat. Roll-on book 2!

A tension filled novella with a heart stopping cliffhanger. No surprise that I devoured this book in one sitting and am already begging for book 2!

What happens when a mysterious biker suddenly approaches the single mom in a dark grocery store parking lot?

President of Ragnarok MC, Ronny, is just living day by day making sure no one encroaches on his territory and that all “insurance” fees are collected from those he watches over. That is until a feisty single mom refuses to pay…

With this being a book originally written in German, I’m so happy the author decided to give us an English version or else I would’ve never discovered them! It’s only the beginning for Annika and Ronny, but I’m already hooked on their story. The buildup, tension, and the heart melting way Ronny is with Annika’s son, I can’t wait to see where this story takes us!

And that cliffhanger?!?!?!

Let me tell you something this was an absolutely amazing book. The way this author intertwined all of these different aspects into one it was just a really really good book.
I usually am a huge fan of like MC books have been since SOA come out so I guess that's just my style but the way.
Absolutely love the way she put the fairy tale type spin, with the MCs, with the Norse gods all in one book was just absolutely mind blowing.
I love how Annika was a fierce and independent FMC that didn't take shit from nobody.
I am super excited to see where this goes this is going to be one heck of a series that I am going to be glued to.

I really enjoyed this one! I loved the dark fairy-tale feel mixed with the outlaw biker romance. Annika and Ronny had such an interesting dynamic, and I loved watching their relationship slowly develop.

Ronny is definitely intimidating, but seeing his softer, protective side—especially with Annika’s son—made me love his character even more. The found-family aspect was also a huge bonus for me.

This was a great start to the series, and I’m definitely curious to see where the story goes next. If you enjoy dark romance, protective alpha men, slow-burn romance, bikers, and a little twisted fairy-tale magic, this one is worth picking up! 🍎🖤

definitely recommend it to my friends. I love the character building and
the dynamic between them. I honestly was hooked from the first page. And
was shredded with the way the author ended it. I can not wait to read
more and see what happens later in book 2. I totally think she should
have kept calling him "Beast" to his calling of her "Snow White" Loved
this. 😍 Honestly I could use an MC to my wreck my life if Annika
doesn't want him.

I would give this book 3,5 stars if possible✨

I did like the story and the plot, but there was just something about the writing style that didn't really fit me personally. I can't really put my finger on it, so I believe it's probably just a matter of personal taste.

The book ended on a cliffhanger, and I will be reading the rest of the series, because despite it not being a perfect fit for me, I'm still interested in where the story will go next and what will happen with the characters 😅

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶

I just finished reading an ARC of "Poison Apple: Snow White and the MC Beast", my first book by Katlyn S. Coen, and I really enjoyed her writing style.

An unexpected gesture from a member of an MC leads to multiple encounters with Annika, aka Snow White, which evolve into a business transaction, a friendship, plenty of sexual tension, unexplored feelings, and steamy dreams, making for a premise that’s hard to resist. And let’s not forget the adorable Finn, whose sweet bond with Ronny will melt your heart.

"Poison Apple: Snow White and the MC Beast" (Sons of Ragnarök MC: Germany Part 1) is set to release this fall, and it’s definitely worth adding to your TBR.

Yeah… this is NOT your childhood Snow White 👀

Dark, gritty, and a little unhinged in the best way. You’ve got that twisted fairytale vibe mixed with biker/MC energy and it just works.

The tension?? Thick. The chemistry?? 🔥
And the whole “dangerous man with a soft spot” thing… yeah, I ate that up 😮‍💨

It’s definitely darker and a little chaotic, but if you love retellings with edge and spice… this one’s for you.

This is my first time reading a book from this author and I am totally hooked!  I love that she has a Playlist to go with the book, I love that it is a MC romance with fairy tail roots sprinkled in.  The FMC has a complicated pasted and the characters have a lot of depth to them.  The book flowed wonderfully and I cant wait to find out what happens next!  I received an advanced reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I love the young single mother who can beat the odds but finds a man (or he found her?) type romance that slowly builds. Good pacing but the cliffhanger! I'm sad that I have to wait to find out what happens next!

The storytelling easily builds around our FMC and gives us just enough information to have us at once frustrated and excited by our MMC. I'm intrigued as I piece together who our other fairytale characters might be.

Poison Apple: Snow White and the MC Beast is a solidly good story. It's short and an easy read. The characters and storyline make it a comfortable read. I didn't like that it's a cliff hanger, but I did know that at the start. I really enjoyed Annika and her son, Finn.

I love a good MC romance read! This MC Beast (Leif) is rough, scary looking and a total softie when it comes to Annika's 2-year-old son. This was a quick read and leaves readers with a cliffhanger. Sitting on needles till the next book.
