I walked into the wrong hotel room and ended up handcuffed to the bed.

I should have screamed.
Instead, I let the dangerously sexy older stranger show me exactly what happens to women who wander into his room after dark.

No names. No promises.
One filthy mistake I can't stop thinking about.

Weeks later, he kidnaps me.
His twisted obsession makes him hunt me down.

But he’s not just any man.
He's a monster

A ruthless billionaire Bratva boss.
And now, apparently, my new boss.

This is Vasily and Matty's story.

I love my Bratva romances and I adored this one because it had a badass lawyer fmc and a dominant mmc who loves and supports what she does. This plot was genius, she’s a defense lawyer who accidentally ended up in a hotel room with the Bratva Pakhan, and next thing you know they’re doing the tango on the bed. That one night was not enough for them though becuase Vasily can deny it all he wants but he was gone from that very first night. After they start working together there’s amazing banter and so much sexual tension, it was literally vibrating. It’s a very intense mafia book but it’s got all the crazy plot twists and unhinged romance that we read mafia romances for. I really enjoyed this and give it a 4/5

This was my first time reading anything by Sierra Voss, and I was a little concerned I would be lost since it's technically part of a series I haven't read. That wasn't an issue, however, and now I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

I very much enjoy the author's writing style - it doesn't feel rushed, abrupt, or disjointed like so many books I've had high hopes for and then DNF'd despite liking the idea of the story.

Matilda and Vasily are well developed characters and I found myself getting attached to them quickly. Her quiet strength and calculated rebellion won me over much faster than any whiny, simpering heroine ever has.

And Vasily, whew, he radiates strength and authority, his edges only softened by the feelings for Matty that he tries to bury.

I devoured this story as quickly as a busy mom with a 4am wake up call and an hour commute each way could ever devour anything.

I want to start my review by answering a question that went through my mind the first time I stumbled across a book by Sorry Voss:

Is this going to be one of those badly written cringe worthy books, that are full of cliches and awful characters, making you regret every second you waited for the story to get better?

My answer: BIG FAT *NO*

This genre is full of exactly those books but Sierra Voss books couldn't be more different.

I love them. I DEVOUR them.

They have amazing engaging storylines and believable (as much as possible, talking about mafia romances) characters.
I'm especially a fan of Sierra's leading ladies. Every single FMC I've encountered in her books has been an absolute pleasure to read about because they are all competent and hardcore kick-ass. Theoretically no need for their MMCs.

I could keep raving about Sierra Voss' books and specifically The Wrong Monster but you have to just take the leap and give it a shot.

I promise, Matilda and Vasily will not disappoint.

This is the story of Matilda and Vasily. Matilda is a defence attorney who shares a one-night stand with Vasily, unaware of his true identity. When Vasily finds himself in need of legal representation, he resorts to kidnapping her to secure her help. While the premise had plenty of potential, the story moves too quickly through major events, making it difficult to fully connect with the characters or their relationship. I found the pacing uneven and, at times, rather boring. Despite being a mafia romance, there is very little sense of danger or suspense, and the stakes never felt particularly high. Overall, the story seemed to be missing the tension and excitement needed to make it truly engaging.

The Wrong Monster by Sierra Voss pulled me in right from the beginning. I really enjoyed the combination of the age-gap romance, the darker Bratva atmosphere, and the complicated characters. The story had plenty of tension and suspense, while still giving the romance enough room to develop. I especially liked the push-and-pull between the main characters. Their chemistry was strong, and watching their relationship unfold kept me turning the pages. The mafia elements added an extra layer of danger that made the story even more engaging. Overall, The Wrong Monster was an enjoyable story with a possessive silver fox, age-gap romance, dangerous mafia men, and a story filled with chemistry and suspense.

What the wrong room, the wrong person. Both Matilda and Vasily once they release the error, don’t stop the spice the heat. Matilda is a defence attorney and the hot sexy Vasily she shares a one-night stand with , is the person she normally put behind bars. Neither forget the night and when Vasily needs legal help he lets say brings Matilda to him and she may have not the choice she would normally make. One thing is the chemistry is off the charts.
I loved how she releases how wrong she was about her sister’s choice….
There is drama, suspense, family, full on spice and amazing characters.

She is sent to the wrong room and have an intimate encounter with the notorious Vasily. The misunderstanding lands when his attorney is arrested and he needs the best in his corner not knowing that it will be the woman, he had an intimate encounter with. Their love hate relationship turns in one heated journey that kept me glued to the drama and cheering them on to coming to the only solution they are meant for each other.

Talk about right place at the wrong time! That's what happens to defense attorney Matilda. She has a meeting with one man and ends up with a completely different one. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is a matter of opinion I guess. One thing is for certain, Vasily makes sure she enjoys every second of her mistake. The Wrong Monster is a great, fast-paced story that is easy to fall into with characters that'll pull you in just as quickly. Definitely an enjoyable read!

Maty is an attorney and agrees at the hotel to meet a guy. She ends up walking into the wing room. She’s immediately handcuffed by an older, very handsome man. The type she’d normally be putting behind bars. After one seriously hot night, Vasily finds her. He decided he wanted to keep her. This story was so hot and so spicy. Makes it really tempting to walk into the wrong room. But just my luck, it wouldn’t be that much fun lol

Nice Change of Pace

I found this one refreshing. Too many of these organized crime novels have the FMC destitute or with talent that they have a dream for but aren't in the position to make come true.

Matty was a bad a** lawyer. Under 30 being considered for partnership of an affluent firm.
She was brilliant at her job.

Vasily NEEDED her and she saved the entire day for soo many people.

It was wonderful to read.

A fierce, driven FMC paired with a growly, commanding mafia boss MMC? Sign me up! 🔥 well written age-gap tension, toe curling spice and a the perfect amount of push-and-pull between two strong personalities. I love a good mystery and hidden past drama. If you love dark mafia romance with a super cheeky FMC and a powerful, commanding MMC, i recommend adding this one to your TBR! 📚🥰👍🏻✨

The plot was boring, I found myself skim-reading some pages.
There was no chemistry between the two main characters.
The reviews are great but I felt like I was reading a different book to everyone else

The wrong monster

I loved this story. I was able to finish in less than 2 days. I love that the strong characters also show that they can vulnerable without it being seen as weakness. The ending was perfect.
