Abra Pressler is a new author to me, but I never miss an opportunity to read a tennis romance!
What I enjoyed most about this book was the balance of sports talk with deeper, more emotional topics. Yes, there was a lot of tennis jargon throughout the book, but the author also tackled topics such as revenge pornography and the emotional trauma caused by a parent. I loved that Hannah remained resilient and optimistic throughout her character arc, even while facing adversity and difficult challenges. It was also hard not to love Lucas, especially with how obsessed he was with Hannah and how he continually went out of his way to help and support her.
I also really appreciated the dynamics between the secondary characters. Hannah and Bronte’s friendship and Lucas and Gabriel’s friendship both highlighted the importance of having people in your corner who love and support you. I especially loved the scene between Hannah and Bronte at Hermès—it felt like such a genuine friendship moment.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading more of Abra Pressler’s work. You really can’t go wrong with a tennis romance, especially with the US Open starting!

My sincere thanks to the author for providing me with an advanced copy of Love Means Nothing in exchange for an honest review. It was my privilege to read this lovely story that follows on from Gabriel and Noah’s story.

I totally devoured this. Hannah and Lukas are just a delight. Their histories, motivations and fears were deftly woven throughout the dual POV, and it was so easy to become invested in both of them.

I love that the author doesn’t shy away from complex themes. I could feel both characters aching with what they’d been through, and the ways in which their love for each other (and for tennis) soothed those parts of their souls. Even had a little tear at the end! Thank you, Abra!

Read if you love a sports romance, friends to lovers, and forced proximity via mixed doubles tennis!! 🎾

Sports romances really seem to be my thing! I haven’t read Abra’s work before but I absolutely loved this book!
Quick easy to read romance that still had depth and explored some heavier topics. I loved all the characters, particularly rooting for our FMC.
There were a few grammatical errors in the ARC that I’m sure will be ironed out for release.
Will definitely read whatever else Abra Pressler brings out!!
This was such a good read!
