I’m gonna be honest, I was team Milan the entire time. Even when I felt I knew whether this was headed and some may say her actions were overboard, to me they were just justified lol. This was definitely a story that dove into heartbreak, betrayal, and revenge (heavy on the revenge) and I was here for every second of it. Looking forward to reading more by this author.

A wild ride full of hurt and revenge. Imagine going to prison for 6 years and you get out and your twin sister is about to marry your ex!!! Yeah….crazy af.

I love a good get back story, and ma'am you wrote the hell outta this one!! Milan stepped out of prison with one thing on her mind, revenge! The people that wronged her were dead to her, and she meant that ish! She had nothing but time on her hands to perfect and foolproof her plans. Getting invited to her sister China's wedding was the icing on the cake.
I loved how meticulous Milan was with her planning, and the timing of it all. She wanted Malcolm and China to be nervous and uncomfortable, as they didn't know how much she knew or what she might do. As clues began to fall into her lap by way of anonymous text messages, secrets were revealed answering all the questions that had haunted Milan for six long years. But who was helping her? 🤯
As her plans came to fruition, I wondered how she was going to get out of this unscathed. Well... she just pulled from her sister's playbook. 🤣🤷🏿♀️ Great read! 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

“You killed me first.”
One thing Kyeate knows how to do, what she's in her bag with, is setting up murder mysteries. It's my favorite genre from her. She knows how to spin a yarn and tell a tale. She does a wonderful job of setting the tone and pace. Immediately everything feels curated, and it's clear Milan has a plan. There are some twists and turns along the way. Just keep in mind Milan ain't come to kumbaya. Even though I'm a hopeless romantic, do keep in mind this is not a Romance. The lasting thought that reverberates when considering this book:
"No one ever asked strong women if they wanted to be strong. People just kept hurting them and praising how they survived."
Come for the blood and stay for the champagne details and cringe-able decadent clueless toasts.

Good Revenge Tale
This story kept me entertained from start to finish. Milan was likable and relatable; her actions were understandable. Let this be a cautionary tale for all scumbags 😆.

The drama had me HOOKED!
This book had me hooked! The drama kept coming, and Milan had me completely invested. Every time I thought I was going to put the book down, something else happened and I had to keep reading. Next thing I knew, I was up way past my bedtime. 😂 Definitely a five star read for me!

Revenge
The opening lines were all I needed!!!
I was captured and enjoyed this storyline. The fact that revenge can be so sweet and yet the betrayal was OC kept me not putting my Kindle down.
And yet, my devil's advocate mind had some questions ⁉️ and/or moments where I was telling myself "Naw! That can't be."

This is a good book on playing chess not checkers and stop playing with people and thinking karma not gone catch up to you! Kyeate can write on the back of a receipt and I’m going to read it and know it’s good! I ate this up in one sitting. Whew! This was good!

This was a good read. That's messed up what Milan's own sister and her ex, Malcolm, did to her. But Milan got the last laugh. I recommend this read.

So good!!
I felt like I was reading a lifetime movie!! They all got what they deserved!! China had a lot of nerve! All for a man! Loved this book! I never even would have guessed how it was going to end.
