When Maddy moves to Creekside Hills, she’s hoping to get her life back on track.

But finding herself as the prime suspect in the murder of the busty blonde her supposedly reformed husband’s been shacking up with isn’t quite the track she’d hoped for. And when word gets around about the poison shake she served, her customer base melts to nothing.

Can she catch the murderer in time to save her marriage, her business, and her reputation?

*** This is a short story of approximately 6,000 words. It is not a full length novel, but will keep you on the edge of your ice cream parlor seat long enough for the server to come tap her foot in front of you, hinting that it's time for you to go home (not that you'll notice, between laughing and biting your fingernails). And then once you get home, it'll keep you busy even longer as you make a thoroughly delicious mess in your kitchen while whipping up Maddy's marvelous, finger-licking creations.***

Shaken but not stirred

A solid cozy with a nice twist. Her business is going well whilst her marriage is going down the drain. When she finds a note left by her husband's lover she knows she has to do something. What she doesn't expect is for the lover to come into her business, drink a milkshake and drop dead. Can she discover what is going on? Why are the police so interested in her? Will she save her marriage? This could have been expanded and made into a great cozy if it had held more detail.

This is a "story" rather than a "novel". However, I needed something quick, light and entertaining - and I got all three with this book. PLUS I got a couple "from scratch" recipes (one for Brownies) which really sound good. I'll add to this when I've made them and let you know what I think of how they taste!

Quaint cozy mystery. Becka, Dana's sister, is delightful. Much more so than Maddy. So is Officer Armstrong. I hope that Maddy improves in the future.

Action-packed. Entertaining. Happily Ever After. Haunting. Tragic. Twisted. Wonderful characters.

Fun to read

This little book was fun to read. I enjoyed it. Would have liked a little bit longer of a book, but was worth reading.

Too many typos to recommend. Because this is a short story, there ends up being no warmth with the characters. Quick read.

Quick read, but also enjoyable.

Fun book to read. Author kept the pages turning. Interesting characters. I'll try another. Not sure what else to say.
