I enjoyed this story, it has some characteristics I haven't seen in a monster romance very often, like how the fear to not be what the other needs and how to mesh different worlds and seeing not only love, but practical things that are very real in relationships.
I can't give it 5 stars because the ending was too fast for me, they went from ok, let's go to a party together to let's be mated in a couple of pages without working through the issues their situation had.
But Akai felt somewhat alien and nonhuman, where Cole was willing to go outside his comfort zone and to meet Akai's world.
I'd like to read more about this two and how they mesh their lives.

Paranormal MM romance. A man named Cole accidentally shoots a moth man named Akai, and feels obligated to help him. The two have met previously, when the moth man pulls him from a car after an accident that the moth man caused. That accident derailed Cole’s plans as a teen.
The two form a relationship, but there is hesitation on both sides.
Typos: some poorly-constructed sentences, and at least one word used incorrectly.
