That's the kind of leadership we saw in Bethlehem, when the Giant lay down. When a human leader humbles himself or herself, understanding that real power lies in quality relationships, unbelievable things can happen.
Dick Foth is one of the most gifted preachers I've ever heard, and when I found out he wrote a book, I had to read it. Like his sermons, Foth's book is full of stories (some of which I'd heard before, some I hadn't), full of emotion, full of wisdom, but always down to earth and personal.
It's a short book, full of wisdom. It's really about relationships, God to us, us to others, and what makes them work. He translates the example of Christ to us, conveying attitudes more than rules or how-to. That's his genius.
I wish he'd write more. This book is good, but shows how much more potential he has. But for any of you who have heard his sermons and wants to remember some of his wisdom, this is a good place to start.
