This book was not for me. I had low expectations coming into this story. The last book did not leave me with a taste of wanting more of Micah and Nori. This was a disappointment. This book could have been combined into the first book instead of having it as a whole second part (it could have been a third of the 280 pages). It was repetitive and did not bring to light any strong points of the characters or the storyline.
I did not like Nori as a character in this book. She did not want to come off as the angry black woman, but that was exactly what she was. Nori acted like a child who threw tantrums. One minute she agreed to work on working together and communication with Micah better and the next second she is trying to run out on her own and reverting back to her old ways with no thought of anyone. She just wanted her way in every aspect. She was looking like an idiot. She was like a child that would apologize for something but did not know what she was apologizing for. Then would do the same thing again. She aggravated me to no end. And Micah was not any better. He just kept accepting it. He would tell her that she would have to drop the attitude but then accept it and say that it was the way she was and he loved it. Craziness!!!
This story turned into a romantic suspense that I did not care about. The plot made no sense. I just did not get where the revenge plot came in. Then the author tried to tie everything together in a pretty little bow in the end. Everyone had a love interest. It was the happy ever after. I did not buy it.
There were the same grammatical mistakes that were in the first book. This author needs to fire the poor excuse of an editor for letting her publish this with that many mistakes. It was just sad. Also, the sparks between Micah and Nori still were not there. I hope this author gets it right next time.
So in part 2 of the story we find out why Nori left. The couple is being targeted by Micah's mad ex and some other person whose identify we do not know.
Through all the trials Micah remains constant in his love for Nori. However, even though understandable given the threat the couple are living under, Nori is so on and off again in her love for Michah I did find that very frustrating. She was mean to Micah and took her anger out on him and all he wants to do is for them to work as a team to find out who is trying to hurt them.
I didn’t care for the Nori character. My dislike for her made it very difficult to actually finish the book. She was angry and lashed out at the person that always showed her kindness. Though Nori said Micah was selfish, the story doesn’t indicate it by his actions. Nori actually comes off as more selfish than he was. He was a bit of a pushover and should’ve dumped her obstinate/abrasive/brash behind. Two of the three villains in this book could’ve been eliminated by Nori contacting the police...even if she waited until she got to Birmingham to do it. Jules is supposed to be a security expert but he made 3 MAJOR mistakes that get glossed over. Why is a billion dollar tech company renting office space? Why would a tech company allow a cleaning service after hours access to their facility? Why wasn’t the staff of the tech company better vetted? Micah was a great programmer/coder but a terrible business/officer manager. Was Ever a PI with a law degree or just a PI?
I loved the beginning of Micah & Nori's story in part 1. I rooted for them, loved their story and I could identify with their characters. I had to ask myself while reading part 2 if I was reading about the same couple. Micah turned into a total wimp and Nori became a really unlikable shrew. None of the fire, passion and love was there from part 1. I would try another book by this author but I was really disappointed with this one. I very much looked forward to catching up with Micah and Nori, figuring out why she left him abruptly and if they could get back on track but by the end of the story I just wasn't invested in the couple.
This book was full of steamy passion and love. There was a lot of suspense and drama with the characters that were involved. Even though Micah and Nori went through a lot they still ended up with each other. This was the 2nd book and it was worth the read. I'd recommend to all!
I truly enjoyed both books. I listened to the first and read the second. The sex was hot and the mystery was unrelenting. I was a little leery of Jeremy behind the accident, but never could have guessed his motivation or how psychotic he was in the end. Great character development, storyline, and conclusion
I enjoyed the story of Micha and Nori. Crazy meeting and crazier, scary happenings. Through it out they loved each other and stuck together with a little hiccups here and there. I was surprised with who Mr. D really was. I think that I would love to read about Simon and Ever.
I busted added an another author to top of my list. I loved the first book as well as this one. I loved the introduction of the two main characters and their interaction thru both books. I loved the story and the suspense plot, the introduction of Nori's old college friend.
I loved this book too! 4.5 stars because there were a lot of grammatical errors. This book was off the chart with excitement, tragedy, computer and gaming theft. SPOILER ALERT: Collette and Sean are going away for a minimum of 20 years and you won’t believe who Mr. D is. You must read this book.
I first heard Him and Her on audible books. It was a terrific story. I waited years for the second book to come to audible books. I could wait no longer. Him and Her 2 is better then the 1.
The storyline was good. The characters interesting. It did seem to drag a little and become predictable. The typos sheesh, had me rereading a few sentences like “huh.”
It was Drunken Baby vs. My Little Pony! Nori was, at times, shrewish, unyielding and mean. Michah may have been her "Drunken Baby," but she had a lot of growing up to do!
This one just dragged for me, and I feel as though it could have been made even shorter. I do feel that the story could have been made a lot better. If only the characters felt more real to life.
Good book.Wish it had a audible companion like book 1. Turning the H into a alcoholic & the h into whining shrew & coward wasn't quite how I thought the 2nd book would start out though.
This is a first read from this author well including the part one so I correct myself second. Lol I love the characters in this book and how they come together as a family and deal with all the craziness that evolves around Nori and Micah. Their love for each other withstands all obstacles thrown at them, with the help of their close friends. Would love to find out about Daring and Jules, or if Simon and Eva stop running from what is there and face the fact they are a great together.
I loved this book just as much as the first one. Mrs. Mitchell you didn't disappoint and I plan on reading more of your stories. Nori and Micah have been added to my favorite couples list, although they were added when I read the first book lol. Micah was sooo sweet and caring even though he had his flaws one thing was for certain, he loved Nori without hesitation. I will definitely be reading this again. Wonderful job!! :)
I didn't dislike this book, but I didn't really like it either. It was a good length but felt a little draggy at times. Yes I'm so contradicting myself wit this book... but I really don't know what to say about it... so I guess that's the end of my review for now. LOL
Oh but I do say I SO BEYOND SO HOPE the Shelby Mitchell write about Nori and Micah's friends, especially Jules.
I was glad to fine out what happened to Nori and Micah. There were a lot of crazies in this book. Collette, Sean, and Mr. D. I love all of the secondary characters. Hopefully their will be stories about Jules, Simon, Evers, and Daring.
I loved this book and series. There were a few typo's but nothing to serious. Loved the characters and plot. Would love to read Simon's story next ....hint hint
