Sophia Travers has been reading romance novels for as long as she can remember (sorry, Mom, for stealing all those books and hiding them under the bed). Ever since she discovered that writing romance is just as addicting as reading it, she's been populating fictional worlds with smitten heroes and ambitious heroines. She loves enemies to lovers, second chances, heroines who know what they want, and lots and lots of angst.

I absolutely LOVED this book!

Firstly, the narrators did a great job in bringing these characters to life; I have listened to both narrators in other works so I knew this was going to be good, and I always love duet narration so this was such a great listen for me.

The premise of Tristan needing a wife to access his part of the business shares was quite interesting and made for some very humorous situations with the 'dates' that he goes on; I really enjoyed the 'lessons' between Tristan and Katie, but more than that their friendship was my favourite part of this story; it was the foundation of their eventual romance, and the love and trust they have with each other is only strengthened by the friendship they've had for so long. I really related to both Tristan and Katie; they both just want to be chosen first (in different ways) and to know that they are loved unconditionally, and you really see them provide that to each other as the story goes on.

The only thing I didn't really click with in this story was the character/story arc of the grandfather; he seemed quite adamant that Katie would never be the person for Tristan and wouldn't fit into their world; his opinion changes so quickly when he's been so resistant for so long that it felt a bit rushed and not fully believable.

Overall, I did really enjoy this story; Katie and Tristan's friendship and romance was beautiful and I loved all the sibling dynamics and female friendships :)

A classic friends-to-lovers story with a fun billionaire twist! The premise was great, and having a whiskey billionaire was a really cool touch. The "will they or won't they" vibe was super catchy, even if it got a little repetitive after a while. The spice scenes were well-written, and the audiobook narrators totally nailed it. Stella Hunter and Grayson Owens did an amazing job and had great chemistry together!

I went into this book expecting a cute and fun romance and that’s exactly what I got. There was good tension, banter, and a slow burn that I really enjoyed.

I really liked Tristan and Katie. Tristan comes from old money and is expected to take over his family’s bourbon company but he needs to find a wife first. Katie is HIS bodyguard and I loved that their friendship already had such a natural feel to it. Tristan offers to teach Katie how to date, completely unaware that she is in love with him. And of course, once feelings start getting involved, neither of them is too thrilled about watching the other go on dates. But wait, Tristan also decides he can teach her a little more than just how to date. It was perfection.

The family and friend dynamics throughout the book gave it some really fun moments between some of the serious stuff, and there were a couple of scenes that made me genuinely laugh.

The narration by Stella Hunter and Grayson Owens was perfect. Their voices fit Katie and Tristan so well, and I felt completely immersed in the book.

This light and fun romance was exactly what I was looking for.
