FROM EXCITING AUTHOR OF NEW ADULT ROMANCE MAREN JENNER
Book four in the Wrighting the Wrongs series
Steven knows things ended with Bianca because it was the wrong time—now she’s back, and so is their chance at happily-ever-after.
Bianca Wakely is the one that got away. She disappeared ten years ago without a word, and Steven Wrighting thought he’d never see her again. When she shows up on his doorstep in the pouring rain, he doesn’t have the heart to turn her away.
After escaping a toxic friendship, Bianca needs a safe place to heal. Running to Steven is the first choice she’s made for herself since she left. Despite being apart for years, he’s never been far from her thoughts.
With Bianca back in his life, the feelings Steven thought he’d buried for good begin to resurface. Moving forward through the scars of the past is not an easy task, but perhaps before it was simply a case of right person, wrong time. Maybe now, they can get it right.

Time for the oldest brother Steven story.Steven is the oldest and in my opinion the most caring for brother, when Bianca ,his first love comes back unexpected,he may finally have chance for his happy ending. Uh,like I said for me Steven was perfect, caring for his brothers, their girlfriends, and still nice to someone who broke his heart. My struggle was to warm up to Bianca,at the beginning I though she left for someone else, but that was explained soon enough. I get her reasons, and while naive and trusting wrong person, she also was just a teenager,so it's easy to understand the fear and manipulation. They work good together, both have some share of quilt and regrett, but the slow burn give them time to get used to each other and see if there's still something there worth fighting for. It's a slow burn with spice, and I would say it was also sweet romance.I liked the relationships in this book,Steven family is really great, and the brothers always have each other back.Great end to the series. Now I need to catch up with book 2 and 3.
If you looking for a second chance romance I would recommend this one.
Thank you author for arc,my review is honest and my own.
I liked how the author added some suspense to this storyline. I thought it was great, especially since we have been wondering about what happened to Bianca since the first book in this series.
It's the end of an era, now that we have all of the Wrightings men's stories.
I had a fun time read the series, I recommend if you want satisfying stories with a great HEA.

Steven and Bianca
The fourth book in this series follows the fourth and oldest brother, Steven and Bianca. And their journey to a second chance. As the oldest brother, Steven cared for his siblings and their significant others but now it is finally the time for his own happiness. Ten years ago Steven and Bianca had planned a future together, but then Bianca disappeared someday without a word and broke his heart. But the caring man that he is, when she appears on his doorstep and in need of help, he is there for her, despite their past. Biance hasn’t just disappeared, her story is heartbreaking and sad. She has to deal with anxiety and the regret from her actions these years ago. Slowly both find a way back together with them working and living together. Finally they work and sort through their past and give themselves a go for the second chance they want and deserve. Emotional and with a beautiful happy end.
The end of the Wrighting the Wrongs era- and what an amazing ending it was. We have been waiting for Steven's story and we knew it was going to be an emotional one.
I have loved Steven so much throughout this series but seeing him with Bianca took it to a whole other level. Bianca has been going through it and her story is dark and incredibly heartbreaking.
But their journey back to each other was beautiful and perfect for them and I couldn't have asked for a better ending for this entire family!
POV: dual 1st person POV Standalone: Yes Tropes/Vibes: - second chance - forced proximity - found family
After reading the other books in this series, I couldn’t wait to read Steven’s story. It did not disappoint. It is an emotional and insightful second chance at love romance with a touch of suspense. Steven has watched his younger brothers pair off and find love and wonders when it will be his turn. One woman captured his heart years ago: Bianca. They had once been planning a future together until Bianca disappeared from Steven’s life ten years ago. Now, she is back in town and on his doorstep, needing his help. Stephen never stopped loving Bianca and, though he is wary of being hurt again, he takes her in to his home. His parents, his brothers and their partners are very supportive of them both and welcome Bianca too.
The past ten years have been difficult for Bianca and she is plagued with regrets, anxiety and doubts about a whole lot of things. Steven makes her feel safe, cared for and respected, even after she hurt him by disappearing without a word. He is the quintessential cinnamon role hero….patient, caring, and protective. They sort out the past, their feelings for each other and discuss their fears as they begin to heal. This second chance at love is all the sweeter because of the years they have lost and what they have endured during those years. The first time around was the wrong time, but now is most definitely the right time. This book has my full recommendation.
The Wrong Time is the last book in the Wrighting the Wrongs series, and I have truly been waiting for Steven and Bianca’s second-chance romance. I have to say, it was definitely worth the wait!
Their relationship is truly complex, but I loved watching Steven and Bianca get to know each other again after ten years. As they uncover the truth about what really happened back then, they slowly begin to rebuild their friendship, heal from their past, learn to forgive, and find a way to move forward.
Getting to know each other again opens the door for them to explore their feelings and, eventually, fall in love all over again. I absolutely loved watching their relationship develop because their history made their journey feel so meaningful and emotional.
I have always loved how the brothers support each other. Their banter feels so natural and real, and I also loved how the girls immediately took Bianca in and made her feel welcome. That found-family support is one of my favorite things about this series and always leaves me wanting more.
I truly didn’t want Steven and Bianca’s story to end, but their HEA was so heartwarming and incredibly satisfying. Seeing them finally get the HEA they deserved made this a very fitting and well-deserved conclusion to the series.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The Wrong Time absolutely got me. I am such a sucker for a second chance romance where the love never really disappeared, and Steven and Bianca’s story had so much more emotion behind it than I expected.
Bianca showing back up on Steven’s doorstep after ten years already hurt, but learning more about what those years looked like for her made it even more emotional. Colt had spent so long manipulating her, isolating her, and making her question herself that she had slowly lost sight of what she wanted and who she was outside of that friendship. Watching Bianca finally recognize what had been happening and start making choices for herself was honestly one of my favorite parts of the book.
And then there’s Steven. I loved that he didn’t swoop in and try to fix her. He simply became the safe place she needed while she figured out how to trust herself again. He was patient, steady, and still so obviously in love with her even after all those years. There was something heartbreaking about realizing that neither of them had really moved on from what they had, even when they thought they had.
Their separation never felt like a lack of love. They truly were the right people at the wrong time. Bianca needed the chance to find herself again, and Steven needed the opportunity to understand what had happened between them. Watching them reconnect while also working through ten years of hurt, unanswered questions, and feelings that never went away made their second chance feel so deserved.
The healing, the history, the longing, and that feeling of finally coming home to the person who has always felt like yours made this such a beautiful addition to the series. Steven and Bianca deserved their happily ever after, and I loved watching them finally get the timing right.
Steven and Bianca definitely have some things to work through after ten years apart. There’s hurt, unanswered questions, and a whole lot of feelings that clearly never went anywhere. I liked that they didn’t just jump right back into a relationship. They had to actually deal with everything that happened and figure out who they were now.
And Steven… definitely a favorite. He was patient with Bianca when she needed it, protective without being overbearing, and just really good to her. Their situation wasn’t easy, but I liked watching him give her the safe place she needed while they both worked through their past.
I also really enjoyed all the family time in this one. The Wrighting brothers are always fun together, and I loved seeing everyone around Steven and Bianca. There’s just something about a family that can give you crap one minute and have your back completely the next.
This was definitely a slower-burn second chance, but I think that worked for their story. After everything they had been through, they needed that time to find their way back to each other.
And now I’m over here a little sad that the Wrighting brothers’ stories are done.
4 stars for me. Steven and Bianca finally getting their chance at the right time was a pretty sweet way to finish out the series.
The Wrong Time is an enemies to lovers romance about second chances, healing from the past, forced proximity, and brings all the feels. I could not put this down and ended up binge reading it in one day. The romance is heartfelt and sweet, the characters feel very real, and the storytelling is incredibly immersive. Marren writes the most swoony, perfect, green flag book boyfriends. I fall in love every time!
This is easily one of my favorite romance series. I loved it so much and am not ready to say goodbye to the Wrighting brothers. I am crossing my fingers for more books, but in the meantime this series is going on my shelf of favorite books to reread! The Wrong Time is the final installment of an interconnected standalone series following four brothers, and if you’re as obsessed with the Bergman Brothers as I am, you will fall in love with the Wrighting brothers! I also really loved disability and mental health representation in this series. It was very well done!
The second chance romance trope is my favorite and this one gave me all of the warm and fuzzy feelings that I wanted. Steven is so sweet, protective and just wants to be happy at work and at home. Bianca’s courage is admirable and her personal growth throughout the book was really wonderful to witness. I love how well they can come together through their own hardships over the last 10 years. I could’ve read it in 2 days if I had had the time to do I stretched it out over 4 days instead. I haven’t read the others in the series but after reading The Wrong Time, I want to!
Thank you to Maren Jenner for providing me with this ARC! I really enjoyed reading it and I look forward to reading more by her!
4.25⭐️ 2.75🌶 Finally, the last brother’s story! This was such an enjoyable read, and Steven and Bianca didn’t disappoint. The way they showed and handled their feelings felt so realistic, just like the story itself. I also loved how important communication was. It didn’t always happen right away, but they gave each other the space and time to process. That made their relationship feel even more real and authentic. When Steven realized there was more to Bianca’s story than he knew, he set aside his own hurt and feelings to understand what she had been through. There was a lot to unpack with Bianca, and learning what happened during those years was tragic, but her story ultimately became a beautiful one. The way these two naturally fell back into place was the absolute best.
Steven and Bianca finally get their second chance. After disappearing without a word and breaking Steven's heart Bianca shows back up needing help and not having anywhere else to go. Of course, Steven offers to help her even though he's having a hard time processing everything. I absolutely love their story. They finally discuss the past and what happened, why she left, and it's not for reasons you would think. They work through the hurt and finally start to heal together. This is their second chance and it's the right time! Love this book and the whole series! Each brother has a special place in my heart! I 100% recommend this whole series!
Thanks to Maren Jenner for the ARC! I wish I could do half ratings this would be 3.5. I thought the story was cute. I wish their were flashbacks or something to tell us more about Bianca and Steven’s relationship in high school. I also found myself so frustrated with Bianca’s relationship with Colt I didn’t understand her devotion at all. Also she never went to see her dad? I have so many questions. Steven is a sweetheart! I did not read the first 3 books but want to now! This is a great, easy read.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So this is Stevens book, the eldest of the brothers and I think we've all been waiting for this one! This second chance storyline was done fabulously, I really enjoyed seeing Steven and Bianca on their journey to their HEA. This was heartfelt, emotional and beautiful 😍 There are a few trigger warnings to be aware of before diving in ⚠️. The story really does break and heal your heart. Fabulous 👌
I can’t remember the last time I read a book this quickly. The story sucked me in from the beginning and I didn’t want to put it down. I’ve loved each of the Wrighting brothers’ stories that have come before this, but this one is my favorite. Seeing Steven and Bianca’s love story play out was so great and I was truly sad when it was over. Highly recommended!!
Steven has been the slightly broody oldest brother this whole series. We just got snippets of his life and that Bianca left right after high school. Seeing their second chance was nice. We get to see what happened all those years ago and how Bianca has been. Their chemistry and banter was great from the start. It was nice seeing them be friends first before jumping into a relationship.
I received an advance review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.
The writing and the couples' dynamic made me realize how much depth I missed by skipping ahead. I am definitely going back to read the previous books in the series to get the full backstory on this world! Great second chance romance.
What an incredible way to end this series. Steven and Bianca are such dynamic main characters. I love how sweet Steven is and how big his heart is. Bianca, what can I say the strength of this character, her story had me heartbroken. The journey for these two making it back to each other was worth every step. This was an incredible way to end an incredible series.
I absolutely enjoyed this story. It’s a great ending to the Wrighting the Wrongs series. It works as a standalone story but the series is full of great stories so I recommend reading them in order.
From the beginning of this series I had a feeling Steven would be my favorite. He did not disappoint. I love him and Bianca so much they are adorable and I love the whole story. It's perfect
Second chances, a bit of suspense and a lot of love. Finally Steven’s chance but does it need to be with Bianca, the one who broken his heart. Now just might be the right time. Enjoy
A very endearing second chance love story for Steven and Bianca. They started out slowly and worked their way to a trusting and loving relationship. An enjoyable read.
I love that Steven got his happy ending with Bianca! They both deserved it. I loved how, even when things got hard, they were always there for each other no matter what
I have read all the previous books and loved them. I didn’t connect as much with this one but don’t let that deter you from giving it a chance.
This story is Steven’s. He is the oldest brother and the only single one left. When his high school sweetheart that disappeared the night they were supposed to run off together appears on his porch a decade later he takes her in and helps her get on her feet. Bianca had a rough life. From her dad to her friend Colt it’s just been getting worse. She went to Steven when she needed a safe place to land. He is a total green flag. Even when he wasn’t sure how to deal with his feelings he was taking care of her.
This is a super slow burn second chance. I liked that they started their second chance as friends but it felt a little too slow for me.
Overall a great series and I’m sad it’s over. Looking forward to more books from the author.
The final Wrighting brother gets a second chance at love with the woman he once nearly married. It’s the story we’ve all been waiting for. Honestly it had more action/suspense than I had anticipated, which added to the thrill of it. I wasn’t even sure if this would end in a HEA or completely fall apart in the end. I love that there’s little snippets of info from the previous books to refresh my memory, without it feeling repetitive. It ended in a way that gave closure in the way I believe we all needed. I’ll miss the Wrighting brothers!
Second chance romance yes please! She broke his heart 10 years previous then she shows back up on his doorstep. Steven can't turn her away so he helps her out. Only their chemistry can't be denied. He slowly starts to forgive her and their relationship starts to blossom.
Before I begin my review, I just want to say thank you to Maren Jenner for providing me with the opportunity to have an ARC copy of 'The Wrong Time', I say this for a lot of the books I review, but I really did enjoy it.
‘The Wrong Time’ had so many of my favorite tropes, like second chance, first love, and forced proximity, but obviously, the main trope is the whole second-chance romance thing going on between Steven and Bianca, and to be honest, it worked because these two already had SO much history. I mean, they were in love in high school, Y’ALL THEY PLANNED TO ELOPE. So I mean, I’m lowkey on Steven’s side on this Bianca legitimately never showed up, I mean, I would be even more pissed that Steven was. So Steven spent the next ten years thinking she had just abandoned him (I mean, technically, she did), so when she randomly shows up at his house in the middle of a storm, you already know things are about to be messy, even though the two of them act like everything is completely fine at first.
And I’ma be real here, I felt bad for both of them, but mainly for Bianca because she didn’t leave because she stopped loving Steven. It’s all stupid Colt’s fault. I won’t spoil much, but I’ll just say RED FLAG! And while Bianca over there was living her worst life, oblivious little Steven had no idea why she disappeared and was still carrying all of that hurt ten years later, because she never told him, which is honestly really stupid on her part. In my opinion, at least send him a letter, a quick text or a sticky note. I mean, why would you ghost someone who genuinely cares about you?
I really liked watching them slowly get close again instead of Steven immediately forgiving her. He’s obviously still in love with her, but he’s pissed and doesn’t trust that she won’t disappear again. And Bianca is trying to rebuild her entire life at the same time. There are some genuinely cute moments between them while she’s staying with him, especially when they start falling back into their old dynamic, but then there’s always the doubt.
I feel like the pregnancy reveal was probably one of the biggest things in that book (I mean, as it should, I would definitely hope to feel some emotion if I found out I had a kid) because Steven finds out that Bianca had been pregnant with his baby all those years ago and never told him, and honestly, I REALLY hoped she would have, like I said before. And then you have Colt coming back into the picture and getting jealous/threatening Steven, which obviously makes everything ten times worse. Honey, no one likes a jealous ex. After that, little Bianca finally grows a backbone and tells Colt to f*ck off. To be honest, I thought that Steven would have to deal with Colt all by himself because Bianca doesn’t want to, but YAYYY!
Long story short, Bianca eventually realizes that she really loves Steven after all these years, and she’s genuinely become part of the community (I don’t know how to properly express what word I’m talking about, but if you know, you know) instead of just being ‘Steven’s ex who came back.’ I would say that a lot of the tropes that I loved were there, but it was a little too unnecessarily dramatic for my liking.
I was able to read this book ahead of its release date thanks to the Author.
Recommended to someone looking for a slow burn second chance romance
Spice level: 2
This is the last book in the Wrighting Brothers Series. The eldest brother, Steven, finally gets his HEA. The Wrong Time is definitely a slow burn, which is perfect due to Bianca and Steven’s past. There are also elements of suspense with the tornado that takes place and the events revolving around the reason Bianca shows up at Steven’s doorsteps 10yrs later looking for a safe place to land. While the plot of the story was good, I found the writing style to be over descriptive. Giving more details about what characters are physically doing than what's needed. At times I thought that the descriptions were setting up for something to happen but it wasn't. So, it felt like I was reading extra for no reason. I almost felt like the author wanted to write about an abusive ex, but didn’t want to give the FMC an on-page sexual history or relationship, even though Steve has relationships which I can only assume were sexual in nature throughout the other books in the series. She makes a point to emphasize the platonicness of her past relationship. It did however highlight how abuse can come from more than from significant others. Did I believe that the relationship was platonic for 10yrs? Not really.
Overall I did like how all the story lines tied into each other. I liked that Bianca did a lot of healing and growing by the time the book ended. It was a good ending to the series. All the brothers get their HEA.
Steven is the oldest. He has watched all his siblings fall in love and move on. He did not realize just how much he wanted the same thing until he saw his brothers find their other halves. He had that at one point but then she left him.
Steven hears a knock on the door. Imagine his surprise when standing at the door is his former love, Bianca. She is hiding something. Steven does not push. He knows that Bianca in her own time will share with Steven what gives her nightmares.
"Steven is the epitome of a green flag, and no one will ever convince me otherwise."
I really loved this book. While some of the other stories in this series featured close friends falling in love, there, is something about the fact that Steven and Bianca shared a history with each other that I loved. Seeing how Steven allowed Bianca into his home without holding resentment was very endearing. It showed just how much he still cared for Bianca.
Seeing how the other women brought Bianca into their circle is sweet as well. Not that I did not expect anything less as the brothers would only fall in love with beautiful women inside and out. The second time around is even sweeter! The Wrong Time is a endearing, five star, must read!
