The Spell
Sarah Bellamy has always been drawn to the dark side of life. Ever since childhood, Sarah’s mind has been invaded by increasingly fascinating—and often horrifying—dreams. But as Sarah’s talent increases, as do the frequency of her nightmares, she draws the attention of the enigmatic and sexy, Julien Dubois. Dark and dangerous, Julien Dubois has his sight set on Sarah. Will she be able to resist his dark temptation, or will this priestess succumb to the monster within?
"His expression is dark, almost haunted looking, as if my words have invoked something else—something completely other than what I’d meant. His eyes are both frighteningly intense and darkly alluring. I almost forget that I’m mad, forget what we’re arguing about, forget that I shouldn’t want to be drawn into him...closer to that big, sexy body.
I take a step forward, as does he. His hand reaches out and his fingers slowly trail along the skin of my wrist.
His touch is electric, utterly wanted, but most of all familiar.
“Miss Bellamy...” he starts, his voice deeper than before, hypnotic. I look up at him. I’m so confused. What’s going on here? Is he putting me into a trance? Is he a witch, or something?
I try to shake my head to clear my thoughts, but my mind feels cloudy and distracted. I imagine falling into his arms, our bodies coming together fiercely, frantically...Except it feels like memories.
His arms crushing me against him. His lips, purposeful, almost punishing against my own. And I’d meet him with my own fierceness—nails clawing, teeth nibbling—biting."
