DANTE I'm in the driveway of the beach house at six a.m. because I don't trust perfection to hold overnight. Gulf-front. Twenty million dollars. The listing that makes my name on this coast. I open the door and the house smells like a rave. Spilled tequila. Staging destroyed. A stranger passed out on the sofa with his dirty boots on the cushions. Brokers from three states arrive at ten. I have four hours to get this man out and make it look like nothing ever happened here. He has no idea who he's dealing with. Turns out, neither do I.
LEVI The label gives me thirty days to clean up my act. Stay sober. Stay out of sight. Show up ready to headline the Panhandle Country Bash. My manager hides me out in a beach house, where for the first time in eight years, nobody's watching. Then a furious man in Italian shoes wakes me up, telling me I'm trespassing. I've got a paid booking that says otherwise. I'm not going anywhere. He looks me straight in the face and has no idea who I am. I need to keep it that way.
Levi is an emotional M/M hurt/comfort romance about fame, freedom, and falling for the one person who has no idea who you are.
No cliffhanger. Guaranteed HEA. Can be enjoyed as a standalone.
Levi and Dante Found Family Famous Singer / Real Estate Agent First Times Hurt / Comfort Read Trigger Warnings You get Tex, Mickey, Benji and Stormy too <3
I HANDS DOWN love this author and the other books in this series, they are amazing reads and highly recommend
After adoring Stormy and Benji I'd been looking forward to Dante's story, he's a great character.
The premise of "unexpected tenant in luxury listing" was great. I don't usually like the popstar trope but it was done differently here - I liked it how Dante wasn't a disempowered nobody like the "non famous" mcs in this trope often are.
I'd recommend reading Stormy and Benji before this as without them you are unlikely to have a strong affinity with the other roadhouse characters which feature heavily in the book.
Editing this book down to around 400-450 pages would turn it from a good story to an exceptional one. 664 pages is too long and some of the detail (the degustation!) was not necessary.
Would love to see more books in this universe, but perhaps more "adjacent" to rather than part of the roadhouse gang. I loved Tex and Stormy's story but Tex is a lot and I 'm ready for a break from him 😂
I have been a fan since Stormy. Then Remember My Name. And then Benji came along and I fell absolutely in love. When I knew Dante was getting a story I was honestly a bit skeptical. He didn’t really impress me in Benji so I didn’t know what to thing.
BOY WAS I WRONG!
Dante and Levi were everything. Levi was pitiful and Dante was the rock and pillar he needed. Benji was perfect (still). Stormy was still precious. Mickey was still perfect and Tex was still the best thing ever. But Levi and Dante, their chemistry, the way they gravitated and grew. What a perfect example of close proximity/found family/hurt-comfort/slow burn! 10/10 would recommend this or any of Wren’s stories and cannot wait for whatever comes next!
I have read all of Wren's books to date. Was hooked starting with Stormy. Fell in love in "Remember my name". Was touched by Benji. But let me tell you, this book i felt in my soul. I cheered out loud for each of Levi's steps of courage, actively spoke patience and encouragement Dante. This book spoke to my soul in a way no other book has yet. The ending was perfect, and yet, I was suprised when the story did end. I didnt want it to end. Ever. Thank you Wren for your wonderful, uplifting stories .
This was a great story. Went through all the emotions. Benji made me laugh Dante made me smile and Levi had me tearing up. Wren writes beautifully emotional stories. Truly makes you feel for the characters. Can’t wait to get to head back to Big Tex’s with future stories.
Words aren’t enough for this piece of artistry. Every single book is a 6 star read. I’ve read all three in the series. The emotions and the arcs of these characters are so pure I’m left speechless. I can’t wait for the next one. Keep writing Wren. Never stop. These stories are deep. These stories are powerful. And when you finish the story you sit in silence to allow it to seep in and wash over you. And you wait for the next one.
Another perfect book. I thought it couldn’t get better after Benji. But it did. I loved everything about this book. Dante and Levi are perfect for each other. Seeing the depths of Dante was beautiful. And how he saw and protected Levi so sweet. Loved all the past characters being a part of this book as well. I can’t wait to see who we meet next. Had my glasses fogging up several times from all the crying. I will read anything this author writes.
I started this book after dinner and couldnt put it down till i finished at 0435 am. I was overwhelmed with sadness and partial anger, initially. BUT Gradually the story evolved and i was reassured, it wasnt a superficial HEA, but an endearing development that my attention I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books, this the third is way higher for me. Thank you for such an amazing story.
Another amazing story from wren wilds featuring all the favourites from Tex’s Roadhouse. This is Dante’s story, full of all the angst, romance and feels we expect from the Roadhouse family. Expect to need some Kleenex for some sections and you’ll be cheering out loud when it all comes together.
I love how all of the characters of this book series are incorporated into all the books and are not only cameos. I have read all the books by Wren Wilds and have not been disappointed yet. One of my favorite authors by far.
Oddly my favourite parts were after the setup and the getting together, when we see more of Levi taking back control of his life, the public reaction, and more of Tex’s wonderful rambles so uniquely brilliant to Wren’s writing.
It was a bit odd that Levi didn’t get any alcohol withdrawal, and I wished the hurt/comfort and internalised homophobia he’s been feeling extended into the spice a bit more.
But a wonderful read that I will be buying in paperback for my shelf!
I was waiting for Dante’s book and it was everything I wanted it to be. Levi was a great match for him. I loved that the supporting characters don’t change from who they are in previous stories. Benji was a big part of this friendship and he was exactly what I needed him to be.
Levi and Dante found a great love in each other. Levi turns out to be very different from who he shows up as in the beginning of the book. I like Wren Wilds books a lot!!
Wren Wilds writes deeply character driven fiction. I am immediately immersed in the Roadhouse world and it's people. I felt like I knew them from the first chapter of Stormy to Levi and Dante's story. I will read everything she writes and recommend her to anyone that wants a moving romance with depth and humor. Don't miss adding her people to your friend list.
This was such a wonderful story! The author took their time and let us really get to know the new couple and their stories. And Levi and Dante might just be my new Panhandle favorite couple. Then again, I think I have felt like that for each book. Amazing series, and I look forward to more stories and family members added to the Big Tex's Roadhouse Family.
God this whole series was so good, I didn’t realize this one was coming out so soon and was so excited when it popped up on my kindle. It was a tad bit longer than I thought it would be (the last 10% is really following Mickey and benji which I was totally cool with) so I found myself getting a bit distracted towards the end but good god, wren wilds, you know how to write a book.
Another amazing book ! This series has had my heart since the first time I read Stormy, I love the characters like they are real people. Omg, how hilarious was Benji crying through this book?
I started this book the morning it was released. Their story is beautiful. The found family in this series… isn’t that something we all search for, the sense of belonging that matters. Thank you for sharing Dante and Levi’s story with us.
This is the best so far in my opinion! My emotions ran the gamut from start to finish. Levi and Dante didn't look like they fit but they so do. The writing is impeccable. The story flows beautifully. I will reread this again and again.
Heartfelt. Two men, two very different lives. One a determined self made man caring for everyone in his circle. The other, an abused child, a mega superstar controled by his handlers, desperately fighting to block out the noise.
This book was so unexpected, in a good way! I stumbled onto Wren Wilds by accident, but these books have my captivated! Im looking forward to any and all of the books that come next!!
This book along with her other books are so beautifully written. The story along with the characters are brought to life and your heart is brought along for the ride.
