Wyken Seagrave is a British author who is passionate about using the history of the Universe to integrate a wide range of scientific, historical and social knowledge into a single unified story.

“In a technological world facing many global problems, everyone needs to have a basic understanding of science. And knowing where we came from and helps us to make decisions about the future,” he says.

Wyken has been studying and writing about this subject for 40 years, both as an historical narrative and as fiction. His first book, Global Vision, was published in 1992 by Penny Press, a company dedicated to publishing on this subject. He converted the book to a website History of the Universe in 1998 which now receives hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.

Wyken believes that “Seeing ourselves in a universal perspective is not only an emotional experience. It has practical implications for our lives. Solving our current problems, many of which are on a global scale, will require global solutions. We all need to make important decisions about our ways of life. We need to understand what has caused our problems and what options we have for solving them. We can only obtain this by taking a global perspective.”

In 2002 he began to write Time Crystal, an epic work of fiction in which the characters have adventures as they go back in time to the Big Bang in an heroic effort to save the Universe. The first volume, The Cosmic Monopole was published in 2011.

In 2012 he produced the ebook History of the Universe which gives simple explainations of the science behind the story, including hundreds of illustrations.
