Could. Not. Put. This. Down! A different and refreshing take on the zombie genre. Great character development with side stories that leave you wanting more. Throw in some steamy love scenes and it you've got an instant classic.

Good
Good, fast paced book. Multiple POVs without being disjointed or boring. Romance was there, but the book was plot driven. FMC was relatable and smart. Will read the next one.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (4.25)
I happened to pick up Zlim at a local book festival, and I’m honestly so glad I did! As a fan of horror, zombies, and a little romance, this book checked a lot of boxes for me. It was fast-paced and had a really unique take on both zombies and the outbreak itself, which kept me interested throughout.
I really enjoyed our main characters, police officer Ben and CDC epidemiologist Elle, and found myself rooting for both of them as things continued to spiral. I also really liked the chapters that focused on other characters and moments happening throughout the outbreak. I thought these added a lot to the story and helped give me a better understanding of what was happening outside of Ben and Elle’s perspective and what they were ultimately up against.
One thing that really stood out to me was the atmosphere. As things got worse for the characters and the world around them, I could genuinely feel my own anxiety rising. There were definitely moments where I found myself grimacing at the violence and wondering just how much worse things were going to get. I love when a horror book can actually make me feel that tension, and this one definitely did that for me.
Overall, Zlim was such an easy book to get lost in, and I’m really happy I picked it up on a whim. If you’re a fan of horror, zombies, outbreaks, and a little romance mixed in, I definitely recommend giving this one a try. It also makes for a perfect fall read!

Although this isn’t the genre I normally gravitate towards, the love story folded into the mix held me captive- kept the pages turning easily! Again, Struble wrote another page turner!
