I’m too baffled by this thing to hate it properly. Everything about it from the tone to story to the characters feels so out of place— incongruous to where the heroes of Gotham are today. As if it were meant to be published in like 2009 but shelved until now. But Jim Lees Batman is iconic so at least it looks good. 🤷♂️
Damn, this first volume of Hush 2 was a head scratcher. I was just confused. Feels like it should have taken place years ago. Everyone acts very uncharacteristically. A lot of the dialog is cringe, too. Just messy. 3 stars only because Jim Lee's art saves this from being a total dud.
