"What kind of good girl are you?" I ask. "That's not even something good girls do, Princess." "I'm a very bad good girl," Ashley says, pouting. "I think maybe I need to be punished, Ethan..."
Rule #8 – We both want this, so let's take full advantage of it. No holding back, no reservations, no restrictions, maximum pleasure...
Why am I dating this girl? I'm supposed to be the one teasing her and getting what I want. It's not supposed to be the other way around. I'll give her what she wants when I'm good and ready to do it. That's how this used to work. She's changed the rules completely.
I guess that's how this started in the first place. This is just one of those invisible rules that no one ever talks about. Ashley's Rule.
"You two really need to learn how to get along," my dad says, completely oblivious. "It's a work in progress, I guess."
"Oh, I'm sure they'll figure it out soon enough," Ashley's mom says, winking at me.
Yeah, so... we've still got to tell my dad what's going on, except the way things are going I'm pretty sure he's going to kill me when he finds out.
This installment is steamy, funny, awkward, embarrassing, playful, and soft & slow. I like the continued build-up to the big reveal to Ethan's father. The question of who will tell him first hangs in the air.
I listened to an author's copy of the audio book with CJ Bloom and James Cavenaugh leading the charge. Both are well suited for the characters. If there was one thing I could change, it'd be that the books were done in duet narration. Second thing I might change would be CJ's version of Ashley's mom's voice. It sounds more grandmotherly than a woman likely in her 40s.
Nothing like an awkward family dinner to drive Ethan straight to some very public displays of affection in a bathroom, right? The tension between him and his dad is palpable—it’s clear something is weighing on both of them. But wow, Dad really knows how to dish it out, intentional or not. Here’s hoping this camping trip brings some clarity (and maybe some drama, because let’s be real, I’m here for it).
The parents are home now, so Ethan and Ashley are at a restaurant with them for dinner and things are awkward. With Ashley freaking out and letting her thoughts go wild, she starts laughing. But since she is the only one laughing at her thoughts, the rest just look confused. She says she is laughing at the “thing” and looks at Ethan to fill in the “story” everyone is waiting for. But he has no clue what she wants him to say. So she says it’s the day they got pizza, but no one saw the humor since she had no details. She wanted to crawl under the table. But things got tense between Ethan and his father while the females tried to calm them down.
We see Ethan and Ashley still having difficulty keeping their hands to themselves, even during dinner, as he automatically touches her without realizing until his dad gives him a funny look. Ashley’s mom winks to indicate her approval as she obviously knows about them being a couple. Then Ashley touches him inappropriately under the table and he tries to squirm away, but as she continues teasing him mercilessly. Yet despite the clues about what’s going on, Ethan’s dad doesn’t seem to suspect anything at all. But when Ethan and his dad went to shop for their camping gear, something his dad said gave Ethan second thoughts about being with Ashley. Will there be trouble there? And then we have troublesome Jake still lurking and up to no good, you can be certain of that!
The Audible version continues to be narrated by: CJ Bloom and James Cavenaugh. They are bringing life into the story as they take on the personalities of the main characters. This story is certainly an emotional ride for the listener, but each segment adds more information or challenge and takes the listener on to eagerly press for the next part.
I really liked this slice of life. It was entertaining and enjoyable even though it's more like an episode of a TV show than a book. A book to me has a distinct beginning, middle, and end while this book just stopped. The characters were interesting and you got to hear from both of them. Ashley and Ethan deal with the awkwardness of dinner out with the parents when only one of the parents knows what's going on. Ethan's dad blew me away and not in a good way. Part of me understood where he was coming from but at the same time it was like - that's your son! This episode had my jaw dropping several times over some of the things that were said and some of the things that were done.
I thought the story was interesting but I wanted more. The narrators did an excellent job, especially because of the way the story is written, it's as if the characters were talking directly to you as the listener (or reader). It's smutty and short but good. I recommend listening to this audiobook (or reading the ebook).

An okay installment. This second season definitely seems like a stretch so far though. Their moments alone are sexy and sweet, but the stories are much slower paced with not much happening along the way.
Still, I'm curious how things will go with Ethan's dad and the camping trip. I really like the characters and even if the dialog and writing style is still awful, I'm curious where they will end up in all this.
As a side note, the only thing I don't like about the characters is how Ashley is always "playfully" calling Ethan dumb and stupid. It just doesn't sit well with me and seems rather mean spirited.
Overall it's an okay installment. Not liking the second season as much as the first, but I'm still here to see what happens.

So I really feel that this series is best if read / listened to in order so you can get the whole of the storyline and the character dynamics. Our main characters are step siblings Ashley and Ethan however there are several other characters and situations mentioned in this book that took place in previous reads. These are short reads / listens so they are great to pick up and read/listen in one sitting and are a perfect afternoon escape. A great balance in each book of sweet and steam and that's also the case here as well. In this book Ethan and Ashley's dynamic have them turning the tables where Ashely is not the innocent but rather the pursuer and Ethan is having some doubts thanks to his dad. I adore the narration - these two narrators are wonderful together and as Ethan and Ashley - love, love, love them! I can't wait to see what this camping trip we've been leading up to will include?!?

But I’m still not interested in a never ending story. Especially being sold in “episodes” instead of completed books in a book series. It’s the main reason I never liked the Outlander romance series. The same 2 people/couple in like 8 very long books (don’t quote me cause I could be exaggerating the number of books, but you get my point!). Smh.
Still it’s a sweet story of love in the beginning when you’re young fresh and new. If you like dragged out stories (and paying for them), and somewhat immature dialogue then this is for you. I’ll simply be finishing the books I bought and not follow this author again.
Bad boy and Good girl are still trying to figure things out – only the one thing they do know, is they love each other and don’t want to be with anyone else. But what will happen when Ethan’s dad has a talk with Ethan? Will Ethan stick to his guns and stay with Ashley, or will he run? A family dinner turns into an impromptu meeting in the bathroom for Ethan and Ashley and I think before long, Ethan will have Ashley corrupted, and she will no longer be the “good girl”. And while Ashley’s mom might be ok with them dating, she has made a rule of her own – no more “fun times” in common areas! I enjoyed this one. It picks up right where the last one left off and we get to see these two interact more and have to face the issue with telling Ethan's dad and trying to hid their relationship in the meantime. Ethan is having to deal with some push back from his dad and the way that he sees him in regards to relationships and it makes Ethan very nervous about things coming out with Ashley. I enjoyed watching Ethan and Ashley build a deeper connection and relationship in this episode and am excited to see where things goes next for them.
Okay, so honesty time. This is a "adult" series and honestly that's never been my thing but I thought I would try the first book as it oh so wrongly turned up in a Amazon search I did and I thought that was hilarious.
What I didn't expect was to fall in love with this series, and especially with Ashley and Ethan's relationship journey. It's cute, hilarious, sarcastic and obviously sexy.
I listened to the audiobook version of this story. Ashley and Ethan are out for a family dinner. While their parents plan a camping trip, Ashley and Ethan have some extra-curricular activities going on under the table and in the restaurant bathroom. The narrators continue to do a wonderful job telling this story, especially C.J. Bloom's impression of Ashley's mom. This part of the story focused a lot on hiding the fact that they’re dating from Ethan’s dad. And when Ethan finds out how his dad thinks of him and his reputation, he starts to have doubts about the whole relationship. Luckily, Ashley is there to talk him down in both sweet and sexy ways. Most of this installment felt like filler as we anticipate this big camping trip, but the heart to heart between Ethan and Ashley is absolutely not to be missed!
Ashley and Ethan falling in love has been cute so far. However, Ethan's Dad has been side eyeing both of them (he definitely knows by now) and Ashley's mom been doing a good job playing dumb (not sure how much play is there tho). But overall, I love the back and forth of Ethan and Ashley learning to navigate bigger steps into a relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend. Ethan isn't as bad as his reputation that follows him, just wanted the right girl for him.

These books just keep getting better and funnier. I I find myself bursting out in laughter every so often. But loving Ethan and Ashley's sweet relationship where they're continually trying to navigate things that are so new to both of them. And I seriously love Ashley's mom!
I don't like Ashley. I don't like that there is more filler than anything else. I'm going to keep reading this because I really like Ethan, and even though Ashley and her insecure, immature personality gets on my second to last nerve, I want to know how this story ends. I'm just hoping the cons don't make me give up
It's all fun and games until someone gets desperate and can't take no for an answer. I love these silly books, truly more for teens, but they're freakishly hilarious.
This is the eighth book in this series. This part is hilarious as Ethan and Princess's relationship stand strong and their rules continue to grow, they try to keep their secret love from their dad. I am enjoying this series. This is a good reads.
Enjoying the bonding between Ethan and Ashley. Their deeper conservations between them. The honesty. The chemistry. The sweet love connection between the two. The sexual steamy sex sessions between the two. Enjoying the relationship grow overtime.
Their back! Getting ready for the camping trip and sneaking around. Does anyone else wanna back hand the dad? I hate how little he thinks of Ethan! He may not be perfect but he always means well. Sweet and steamy as always.
I love this series. It has many awkward moments, but it is also funny, and I really enjoy it. Ethan and his father don't have a good relationship, but I love Ashley's mom; she is funny. I cannot wait to read more.
