Reapers, the dark and foreboding figures who take our souls into the afterlife, or so we have been taught. Meet Grace, a “made” reaper, meaning she was once human and called into service to escort souls to their future. Liz Long is at her best with A REAPER MADE and Grace is a character that will have you laughing one minute, shouting her glory the next and craving more when you reach that final page!

Grace’s new existence is filled with her mentor, Tully, a little bit of a strange duck with a heart of gold, her new bestie, Tessa, a witch and even a werewolf or two, as Grace discovers that made Reapers are going missing, along with the souls they were transporting. Where are they going? Have demons taken them? Why? Knowing she could be next, Grace is determined to get to the bottom of things and it all starts at a human campus where she finds the last thing she ever expected. A young man who dazzles her, heart and soul. Is he who he claims to be or is he something more? Is he friend or foe?

Grab on tight as Grace and Liz Long take us on a whirlwind adventure as this mystery unfolds and the search for the missing souls gets dark and deadly. From start to finish there is an energy about this tale that sparks throughout! Take a walk with a Reaper, call a dry run for the future! Loved the energy this book emits!

This was SUCH a great adventure! I simply LOVED this story. It was so much fun and so engaging and so touching all at one time! This is actually the VERY first book I've ever ready by Liz, and it was as a beta-reader for this book! And wow, if I didn't love Liz before, I would definitely love her now.

There are so many great things about this book, but first of all this is my first book that I've read that focuses on reapers and ascension. The world that was created was so intricate. We learn about the different types of reapers, mades vs. trues, and then of course, if there are reapers, there better be angels. And there are!

Our main character, Grace, is a reaper. She is a "made", which is a reaper that used to be human. As a reaper, it is her job to help human souls ascend once they've passed on. Her job becomes even more difficult when she discovers that souls and fellow made reapers are disappearing. She makes it her mission to basically find out what's going on. I'm always down for a really great mystery, but Liz adds some paranormal aspects to it. And I was hooked!

The characters that Long introduces you to are SO much fun to learn about and get to know! Tully, who is Grae's mentor, is a great balance of responsibility and fun. While he had to put his foot down with Grace from time to time, he allowed her to be herself. Tessa, who a Grace's best friend, is probably one of my all-around favorite characters. She was such a spunky character! Oh, and did I mention that she was a witch??! My favorite supernatural being??!

The other characters, from Rhys... oh, Rhys... to Matt, were all so much fun and so appropriate for the development of the plot and its characters.

Alistair was probably my favorite character, which is weird, but true. He was such a troubled old crotchety reaper and at first I didn't understand why. But as the story progressed, I started putting my own pieces together and once it all came together I was like WHOA! This is SUCH a great plot! I don't want to spoil anything because I really feel like you should go into this with a clear mind. The thrill of the book is definitely going to come upon you quickly!

The concept of Reapers has always been fascinating to me and so to have another origin story is AWESOME!

The dialogue was another aspect of the book that kept me interested. I LOVED how snarky Grace was, especially when it came to her conversations with Alistair and even Tully. Tessa's conversations with Rhys were just as fun! I just really enjoyed how real the conversations felt.

While there was a small romance element to it (Brady & Allison, Matt & Grace), the story isn't made to be about that. The romance never once overtook the main plot and the focus of the reapers.

There are just a lot of fun surprises throughout the book, even at the end.

Overall, this is seriously a fun book. If there's anything critical for me to say it's -- Grace wasn't my favorite female lead, but I think that's because I don't like teenagers in real life and want to punch most of them. ;) But by the second half of the book, I was on board with her and her development.

Liz's ability to develop characters is fantastic. It was honest, believable and real. By the end of the book, I felt like Grace really experienced something "life changing" and was going to be a better reaper because of it. There were even moments of tears for me.

I honestly just felt so many things with this book. I really loved it and will HGHLY recommend it to any and everyone!

This was such an entertaining read.

Grace is a "made" reaper. She was given the option because she dies early. She hasn't been a Reaper long and still has living family and remembers life before. At the moment her life seems to revolve around helping old people move, that is until "made" reapers seem to be disappearing along with some of the souls they are supposed to help on. Graces' mentor and maker Tully, seems to suspect Demons, but if that's right then how are they going to find it and kill it. When Graces' living family is in danger, she knows it's up to her to stop whats happening, but how can she do it without breaking the rules and revealing herself?

I haven't read many Reaper books but the ones I have read, I've loved. This is no different!!

I loved Grace, she was spunky, brave, strong and loyal. She knows what she is supposed to do, but she also knows whats right and that rules only apply if people aren't getting hurt. She knows what can happen to her if she breaks the rules, but she doesn't let that affect her and does what she can when people are in danger. I also loved Tessa! The sassy and rebel witch ;)

One thing that stood out for me was the relationship between Grace and Tully. Despite him being her mentor her left her be herself and didn't try to change her. She respected him and looked up to him but stayed firm to her own beliefs too. They worked well together and it shows.

I loved the plot too. The author has created a unique and engaging world and one that sucked me in. She threw curve ball after curve ball and made the reaper lore more interesting. Add in Demons, lost souls, shifters and witches, and you end up with a great story. I'm sad in a way that it's a stand alone because these characters will steal a bit of your heart!!

In all, this was a fast paced and fantastic read. It will grab you from the first page and not let go. With it's sassy snarky characters to it's captivating story, A Reaper made is a must read. I will definitely be checking out more from Liz Long!!

What can I say about Andrea Emmes that I haven't said before!! She is just an amazing narrator and I can't fault a single thing. She always makes the story her own and brings the characters to life. She gives each character their own personalities and gives it her all!

A Reaper Made by Liz Long Made Reaper, Grace Reynolds, investigates the disappearance of souls and other made reapers, breaking the rules along the way.

A Reaper made is an original and creative story.

I like that Grace is determined to investigate the disappearances and not just ignore what is going on. She gives Tully the option to walk away and is willing to take the consequences for breaking the rules for the greater good.

I felt bad that Grace had such a short life. It is unfortunate that she died by the hands of a drunk driver.

I liked both Tessa and Tully. Tully is Grace’s maker and mentor. Tessa is a witch. They are both good friends and help throughout the story.

Tully’s maker Alistair is an interesting character. I also enjoyed Rhys. They both had essential roles in the story that made it interesting.

This is the first time I recall reading a novel solely (no pun intended) on reapers. I did find myself skimming the book a few times at the beginning of the story. However, I feel the pace picked up later in the story. The plot was fascinating. There were some unexpected surprises. I enjoyed the ending.

A Reaper Made is a fabulous, contemporary take on the reaper myth/trope. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting reaper Ally, witch Tessa and Ally’s reaper mentor Tully (and I could definitely stand to spend more time in angel Rhys’s company!). The story was excellent, romping along with lots of twists and turns and some really touching emotional moments. In fact, I enjoyed it so much the revelation of the baddie actually took me by surprise – and that doesn’t happen often!

Highly recommended if you like strong heroines, well-depicted friendships and supernatural themes.

Well this was okay. Some unique ideas used but some over used ideas too. I liked the writing style. I was sucked in at the start but lost interest in the middle. I like how she chose to break the rules to look after her family and I liked how she got to see her family live after she died.

Favorite Lines “Sometimes I wondered what would’ve been, but when I got that warmth in my chest from helping a soul move on, I knew I’d made the right choice.”

“Tully, was I supposed to die?”

“‘A Reaper Made by Death.’ He means a Reaper like you.”

“We are chaos without our rules, child.”

What a fabulously different paranormal book!
When I read blurb for this book I was very curious and I'm happy to say I was NOT disappointed!
Someone is kidnapping reapers. Souls are unable to move on. Grace and her mentor Tully with the help of a few friends are going to find out why.
This book is filled with action, magic, death, betrayal, sadness, and so much love.
The author did a great job of pulling me into this world. I would love to hear more about Grace, Tessa, and Rhys!
If you want a different paranormal book then this is for you!

A Reaper Made by Liz Long has a lot to offer the reader. There were reapers, of course, and angels, demons, and witches. Plus you had a lot of supernatural action with a touch of romance. I'm not sure if this is will turn into a series, but there are some definite possibilities for more. Although the story didn't leave any unfinished business per say, Grace definitely has more stories to tell.

A Reaper Made is a unique twist on reapers, and was full of great characters.

I loved Grace.  She's sassy, sarcastic, and doesn't mind breaking a few rules.  Tully and Tessa are great friends to Grace.  They have her back threw thick and thin regardless of the consequences.

I enjoyed the unpredictability of this book.  It's not something that happens often with me.  I think my favorite aspect is while there is some romance, it's not the main focus.  We also see Grace grow a lot from beginning to end.  She learns so much about the world around her.

Overall, I loved the witty humor, and the focus on friends and family.

Excerpt:
Death created Reapers to collect souls. My mentor told me most of these Reapers have been around since the dawn of time, watching over humans and ensuring their souls are appropriately handled. As the population increased, the number of souls needing help to pass over became too great. Because Reapers can’t procreate, however, Death gave his first Reapers - “the Trues” - the ability to create new Reapers. We were called “the Mades,” and originally began as humans. We are born, then we live, and when we die, some of us are chosen (offered, really) to carry on with these immortal duties.

I was still relatively new to the whole Reaper gig, so I’d been assigned the older souls at a retirement home. In life, I’d been in nursing school and spent most of my free time volunteering at the hospital, so working with those who were already expecting death was easier than say, those who fought against leaving this earth. In time, I would learn how to calm those souls and help them pass over, but until then, I was happy to help with the souls who already had their bags packed.

I’ve always felt I was one of the lucky ones, being asked to be a Reaper - I think being chosen for such an important duty says that I did well in my short human life. It’s not to say Mades were unusual, because we’re not. My mentor said the increasing population in the last few centuries had led Reapers to regain control and bring Mades to our world. Mades and Trues alike could select humans who would be worthy of helping with their purpose. With more of us around, we could be sure souls were cared for and passed on rather than left to hang around the earth - or worse.

I was nineteen when I died; a drunk driver hit me while I headed home one evening after a volunteer shift. The drunk driver walked away without a scratch. I, on the other hand, died instantly upon impact, my soul jerked from my body to wander around the scene and wonder what the hell happened. I screamed for help, trying to reason with every deity I knew as I watched the blood trickle down my still face.

“No one can hear you screaming, child,” a voice had sounded from behind me.

I’d whirled around to see a strange looking man standing there. He was stout, with a boxer’s build, but his gentle expression gave no hint of aggression. His attire, while not unusual, still seemed from a different era: his shoes worn, pants that stopped short at the ankles, thin white shirt, and black suspenders. Perhaps in his mid-thirties, he had a shock of messy ginger hair and a thick, wiry beard to match. His bright blue eyes popped against a ruddy complexion.

I couldn’t hide the waver of fear in my voice when I asked, “Who are you?”

He took another step toward me, a slow, fluid movement that I hardly noticed. “My name is Tully.”

“I don’t want to die, Tully.”

“You weren’t supposed to go this soon,” he’d said. His voice had an Irish lilt that almost sang to me as he spoke. “But I’ve seen you at the hospital, watched you with the patients. You have a way about you.”

“Doesn’t help me much now, I’m afraid,” I’d responded. His calm demeanor somehow put me at ease despite the situation.

“Oh, but it does, child. You have a gift. Do you know what I am?”

“I was sort of hoping you were an angel.”

He had shaken his head, an amused smile on his face. “No, I am what’s called a Reaper.”

“You’re Death?”

“Reapers are not Death, nor do we carry it wherever we go, according to certain tales. We appear to the dead and take their souls home.”

“To Heaven?”

“That I cannot say; only they will know once they pass into the afterlife. We are, however, allowed to make certain…offers to those we deem worthy.”

I’d crossed my arms over my chest and given my body another stricken glance. “You can bring me back to life?”

“No, child, you are no longer meant for that life. Do you want to continue helping others?”

“How?”

“You could be a Reaper, like me.”

I’d scoffed. “How does that even work?”

“There’s a whole world out there you don’t know about, child. I can show you, teach you how to be one of us.”

“What’s the other option?”

He shrugged. “To move on.”

That was three years ago. Tully was my mentor now, teaching me how to be a Reaper. Even now, I know deep down that I chose his offer to become a Reaper because I was scared of what I’d meet on the other side. The unknown frightened me enough to keep me where I was, and so I accepted Tully’s offer to learn what it meant to guide souls to their destinies. Sometimes I wondered what would’ve been, but when I got that warmth in my chest from helping a soul move on, I knew I’d made the right choice. Tully had seen it in me and I was grateful to him for the chance to feel like I was still worth something. And actually, I turned out to be good at it. Tully wasn’t placating me when he said I’d had a gift. Souls were a lot like hospital patients; reaping souls in my retirement home was similar to my old life.

As it turned out, Tully was right about that “whole other world” part. The wealth of knowledge I’d gained about my new existence was almost frightening. Reapers were nonthreatening, peaceful, and stayed neutral on all terms. We had to; we weren’t the only things that harbored souls and it was our job to make sure we got to them before anything else - like demons - could.

Once I started reading "A Reaper Made" I couldn't stop, I read the book from start to finish in one night. The story just grabbed me & wouldn't let go. I had no expectations when starting the book because the is the first Liz Long book I've ever read, but I plan to read many more. She has a somewhat unique take on many stereotypical characters in the supernatural world. It's nice to see things from a different perspective. This book was definitely worth losing sleep. I just wish that it had been part of a series, there is so many more stories to be told.

This is the third book I've read from Liz Long. If you are looking for a terrific Urban Fantasy story, then you should check her out. I've read about a supernatural circus, a serial killer after witches, and now with A Reaper Made, I meet her reapers. I don't know about you, but I love a good reaper story, and A Reaper Made certainly delivers.

Grace is our reaper heroine. She died at a young age, and was offered a chance to continue helping others as she did in life. She proves herself to be a thoughtful young lady, with an awesome sense of humor and a great big dose of smart ass comebacks - which I completely loved. She has no problem facing down authority when she knows they are wrong. She's a really terrific character.

In the book, reapers are in danger. Not only reapers, but also humans. And it's up to Grace, her mentor, Tully, and her best (witch) friend, Tessa, to find out what the heck is going on. Liz Long created a wonderful supernatural mystery here, let me tell you. When the bad guy was revealed, I was a bit surprised - and I love that!! But there are multiple bad guys here, and multiple good guys. It's a pretty awesome fight.

Witches, shifters, angels, demons, reapers, and humans... the battlefield is life, and everyone is playing a part. Tully is definitely a father type figure in the story, trying to keep Grace in line and sticking to the rules that reapers have to follow, something that is definitely not always an easy task. Tessa is this awesome and very old witch, the woman has some definite power. But she is also loving and just plain old fun. There are other very important characters, but I'll keep quiet about those so I don't spoile anything. Let's just say that not everyone is as they seem, and there are definitely surprises in store.

This story has a lot of great elements. Of course you get the supernatural, but there are also brief touches on romance. The mystery of it all really plays out well, and kept me thinking and engaged the entire way through. Like I said, if you are into Urban Fantasy and you love a good reaper book, definitely check out A Reaper Made.

I actually won this book in a giveaway. This is a new author for me so I was like I could give her work a try.

With A Reaper Made we are thrown into the world of Grace who is a reaper. Now I love the whole reaper thing. Being able to take souls when they are ready and helping them move on is a gig I would want if I died. Yes I am sure it would get boring and be sad sometimes but it would be something that I think I could do. But anyway on to the review.

Grace is a young woman who died early. Instead of moving on to Heaven or Hell she was a made. By being made that meant she has become a reaper. She was made by her mentor Tully.
Now of course there are rules to being a reaper and Grace has followed them even though she has a smart mouth which I like.

Grace's scene is the retirement home and that is where her chargers are. She is fairly new to this whole reaper game and thanks to her strict teacher Tully he is helping guide her along. When reapers start disappearing Tully starts looking into it with the help of Grace and a friendly witch Tess we learn what is happening and why.

Now one of the rules of a Reaper is you CAN NOT BE SEEN and you can not go and see your family. With this case of the missing reapers Grace gets to break the rules even if Tully does not want her too.
But will it put Grace's family in danger, is Grace in danger? All this is answered and more.
There is some action, some mystery as to who is behind this all, demons, witches and talk of angels. A cool world this author has going on.

By the ending I think there could be another book into this reaper world.

I do not read this genre of novel as a matter of course but I have to say that once I realised what I was reading, I was very pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed it – Am I a convert? well maybe, maybe not but what I will not dispute is the authors talent. The story is beautifully written
Grace, dies when she was very young and has become a Reaper. Now, I got my head around this concept pretty quickly and to be honest I actually quite liked the idea.
I like Grace, I liked the fact that she was just so real, so normal. Her attitude and wit were completely endearing. And she had no issue with taking those around her down a peg or two when required.
Now, not wanting to go too far into a story that without having read the other in the series, I may unwittingly misinterpret, I can say that in this book Grace and Tully along with Tessa set out to discover what the threat is that is facing not only the reapers but the humans.
It really was an intelligent mystery to all intents and purpose that just happened to be set in the realms of the supernatural and to be honest I got caught up in the storyline and was in a way distracted from the scenario.
The twists and turns in the storyline came thick and fast but damn the bad guys just kept on coming.
I enjoyed the characteristics that the author gave to some of the main characters, namely Tessa – I really liked her, she was a feisty old witch!!
For a story that I would never have picked up if I had read the blurb, I am delighted that I didn’t because this was an exceptional story and one that has opened my eyes to this exciting genre.

First of all, I just want to say thank you to Liz Long for giving me this book to read in exchange for an honest review. No compensation was given, offered, or taken to alter the opinion.

I have read a lot of paranormal books, from vampires to werewolves to witches and even trolls, but I have never read one all about reapers. I really liked the concept of this book. This was such an entertaining read. There are the original reapers and then there are reapers that the original reapers created, aka made reapers. Grace is a made reaper. She was given the option to become a reaper because she dies young in a car crash. Her life seems to revolve around helping souls at the nursing home move on until made reapers are disappearing along with the souls they are supposed to be helping. When Grace's living family is in danger, she knows it's up to her to stop what's happening, but how can she do it without breaking the rules and revealing herself? I loved the plot in this book. Liz has created a unique and engaging world with plot twists that sucked me in. I enjoyed Liz's writing style. It was simple and clean which made for easy and fast reading because we weren't boggled down in "flowery" writing. I'm a little sad that this is a stand alone novel because I would love more books from Liz on reapers. I met this author at an author invasion last year and I can't believe I'm just now getting around to reading her books. I will definitely be checking out more books from Liz Long though! A Reaper Made is a must read!

I received A Reaper Made in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Grace was not only a ‘Made’ Reaper, but a fairly new one. She was still still learning and trying hard to keep her mentor happy. Tully played strictly by the rules, no exceptions. When the only way to find out what was really happening and to ultimately stop it was to break one of the biggest rules… well, that’s when things got interesting.

I really liked Grace. She was strong, loyal and she loved fiercely. Tessa was fun and the perfect side kick. Tully… well, I can’t say I really liked him, but by the end I loved him. Once you read A Reaper Made, you’ll understand.

A Reaper Made had a little bit of everything. Danger, action, magic, suspense, humor, an unexpected evil villain and even a little bit of romance.

I have to be honest and let you know that even though I enjoyed A Reaper Made, I liked Gifted and Burned in the Donovan Circus series more. Looking back, the only thing that sticks out in my mind as far as differences go is the fact that the Donovan Circus series is a lot darker. I’m pretty sure that proves a couple of things. One, my taste is a little warped (that should come as no surprise to anyone who’s visited here before) and two – Liz Long’s talent isn’t limited to one ‘type’ of writing. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

Grace is a reaper. She was a nurse in life and when she died and was given the option to continue helping souls cross over and she accepted. Now she spends her days in a nursing home gently easing the recently departed to their final destination. She likes it. But when reapers start disappearing she and her mentor Tully must team up with a witch friend to find out who is taking the reapers and why. It could be dangerous and they have been told to stay out of it, but Grace was never one to shy away from helping. Now Grace’s still living sister is involved and they have to save her before she becomes one of the deceased.
This book started strong and kept me hooked. I like how the dialog is modern and believable. The characters are funny and likeable and the story is interesting. But there is one thing that got to me. It seemed like this may have been a couple of novellas squashed into book length. I’ve tried to come up with what I mean exactly, but the best I can come up with is that it seemed like there was a build up then climax, then another build up and climax. Like a couple of installments of one bigger story. Anyway that wasn’t enough to keep me from disliking the book. Like I said it was entertaining and kept me interested, so I’d say it was a good read. I give it 3.75 stars.

3.5 Stars in my Sky!

I love paranormal books and really appreciate Liz Long's unique take on reapers, magic and ghosts. Grace is a reaper or a 'made' aka a reaper who used to be a human. Reaper's have the job of escorting souls into the afterlife. They have a stringent set of rules to follow. Having not been a reaper for long, Grace still has her human emotions and family ties. It's the up to her reaper mentor Tully and her witch bestie Tessa, to assist her and keep her under control.

I liked Grace's sassiness and sarcasm. It was was nice to see her human side coming through with her family and friends. I loved the scenes with at the University with Matt. Every time Grace would get tongue-tied or babble it made me laugh.

I have to admit the plot took several unexpected turns and I honestly wasn't expecting the direction it took at times. I'm not going to go into detail about the storyline because I don't want to spoil it for you.

I enjoyed this cute and quirky reaper story and would love to read more about Tessa and a certain hottie...

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review!

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

This isn't the type of book I usually read, yet surprisingly enough I did like it. There is a lot of suspense, action, danger, and all sorts of paranormal activity going on in A Reaper Made that was both exhilarating and exciting.

Grace is a really great character: strong, passionate, and totally kick-ass. When she becomes a Reaper, she does everything she can to save kidnapped souls and to do whats right. I really did like it. It didn't have much romance in it, but yet it was so action-packed, it was hard not to fall into the book.

Liz Long's style of writing was awesome! I loved the plot and the cover was so pretty! The synopsis fits the book and definitely gives us readers a good look on what was going down, even before starting it. I gave a stunning FOUR SHOOTING STARS to A Reaper Made. I am looking forward to seeing where this will lead next from Miss Long.

This was a nice paranormal story about Reapers, Souls, witches and Angels.

Grace died in a car accident and becomes a reaper under Tully (her mentor), she has been a reaper for 3 yrs now and still has a lot of human emotions. The reapers are disappearing, Grace, Tully and Tessa (witch) set out to find out what is going on.

Grace must become human with the help of Tess spells to protect her sister. There is a lot of twists and turns within this book to keep you reading to the end.

Can they stop the disappearance of the reapers and save the souls that are in danger?

I enjoyed the characters, but would have liked more of Rhys (shifter) history with Tully’s mentor (Alistair).

If you enjoy paranormal, this story is for you.

** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **

This was a great listen from start to finish, leaving me wanting more, more, more!!!!! lol

Grace was killed by a drunk driver at a very young age...she was just a teenager still and because of this she was made a reaper...She has been helping souls cross over at a retirement home for quite some time..and kind of likes it! Well reapers are coming up missing...so her, her mentor Tully and a witch friend Tessa start looking into this...and find out not only are reapers missing, souls are not being reaped....Grace gets very frightened for her family and goes under cover to save the day!!

GREAT LISTEN, STORY, NARRATION LOVED IT...NEED A BOOK 2!!!! :)

Thank You Andrea!!!!

This book was pretty good. It was easy to read, easy to follow the plot, the characters were likable, and there were no glaring errors in grammar or typos. All in all, it was an enjoyable read, but it's not the sort of book that will cause me to contemplate it's long-term universal meaning.

I have one complaint, and I don't think this is truly a spoiler (but it might be). Grace tells Matt she has to leave to take care of her mother, but she doesn't tell Ally the same story so when Matt asks Ally later on about Grace (as he probably will), she won't know what story to tell him. This is the sort of inconsistency that keeps me up at night. ;) Nevertheless, this was an interesting YA paranormal story and I would recommend it.

A very unique look into the afterlife! A Reaper Made is a human who becomes a reaper after they die, which takes some getting used to. Grace is just starting to accept her role when things go haywire and force her to break the rules to save her living family. Grace is a bit of a rebel, which makes me like her from the beginning. Plus her best friend is a witch who also seems to enjoy living on the edge a little. There are some other very fascinating characters they work with along the way. I hope to hear more of Grace's story in the future!

A fast, fun read told from Grace's perspective. She is an extremely likeable character, always with a witty comment, who died before her time and was given the chance to be made a reaper. When reapers start disappearing, she's thrust into the center of a mystery.

I like books with strong heroines. Grace and her witch friend, Tessa, are perfect. In fact, the whole cast of characters are well-developed and completely original. The plot is never predictable and took me from giggles to tears and back again. It was a great ride.

A reaper comes for souls at death to lead them to transition. But how do they get to be a reaper? What can go wrong? It all goes sideways for the heroine after she has been a reaper for three years, but with a lot of help from some friends, things are set right. Storytelling at it's finest!
AE proves to be an excellent audio performer who gives voice and depth to each of the characters without resorting to a melodramatic tone.
Thanks to AudioBook Blast for introducing author and performer to me!

After reading so many romance novels this book was a breath of fresh air. Not that I dislike romance novels. I love them. But after reading so many in a row, all the emotions and feels happening. You most certainly need a break. haha. I am a fan of scifi paranormal, and this book in no way dissapointed.....

This is the first book by Liz Long I have read.

After a kind of slow start- I finished it in one night.
Grace was a fun character with a good bit of sass. I really enjoyed the story of her being a reaper and this mission she had to undertake.
There were a lot of supernaturals, but the character were well crafted and the story moved at a good pace.

I will definitely read more by this author!
