The Ivey family travel to San Francisco to help Arthur and his long-time friend, Suzette, clean out the mansion. News of the massive estate sale lures a variety of people, including former residents and long-ago visitors, each carrying stories of bizarre activities occurring there in the past. When the klepto cat, Rags and his pawtner Koko make some ghastly and ghostly discoveries, everyone goes into research mode and they’re stunned by what they uncover - evidence of people gone missing, a treasure-trove of loot, and spirits unable to rest. This is by far the most PAWSitively Sinister story in the series.
Patricia writes two cozy mystery series. The Klepto Cat Mysteries and her newest series, The Calico Cat Mysteries featuring Olivia, a sweet and sassy calico. Patricia has been writing for publication for over 45 years, having been fortunate enough to establish a career doing what she loves. Hundreds--maybe thousands--of her articles have appeared in over 500 different publications and she has published books on a variety of topics--grandparenting, local history, youth mentoring, journaling and many aspects of publishing and book promotion. After years of writing nonfiction, in 2012, she decided to branch out and try writing fiction and the Klepto Cat Mysteries were created. The Klepto Cat Mysteries feature Rags, an ordinary cat with a most extraordinary habit--he's a kleptomaniac. Currently, Patricia is producing anywhere from six to eight books per year in both ebook format and in print. Read the Klepto Cat Mysteries and you'll laugh, you'll sit on the edge of your chair in suspense, and you'll smile at the good-feeling you're left with when you finish each book in the series. New in 2021, the Calico Cat Mysteries.
Pawstively Sinister is #11 in Klepto Cat mystery. It follows closely after book 10. It can stand alone but better if you have read the series in order. The same characters are back plus some new ones.
Lots of mysteries and discoveries happen to be found in Aurthur's mansion. While everyone is there to help during the estate sale. One mystery keeps coming after another as they look for answers. Of course Rags as a hand or should I say paw into everything. It keeps you guessing to the end.
This is a clean read with characters you want to see more of. I like that most of the characters want to help each other. While there are some disturbing things in this story, there is humor and good friends too.
The setting for the book is San Francisco, CA area.
I like how easy it is to draw yourself into the story. I find the characters to be like old friends that you want to catch up with each other, play with the baby and see what Rags steals next.
I was given Pawsitiely Sinister by the author to read and in exchange I agreed to give a honest review.
Continue with MANSION OF MEWS chronicle. There a estate sale at the mansion and the Iveys are present to help. On the property a room that has been hidden for years is discovered. Rags and KoKo are present and are helping to find answers. It is learned that an owner was a WITCH. Savannah and friends are looking for answers.
When Savannah, Michael Lily and Rags go to Frisco to visit Arthur and Suzette for grand estate sale at the mansion, they find the old house and estate still has secrets to reveal. As Rags and Koko wander getting reacquainted Arthur shows Michael something he unearthed. I hidden chamber with some old bones and other items. Soon it becomes apparent Arthur wasn't the only thing secreted away in the basement. Now we learn of its history before the Peytons. The Randall's and séances they held there. What happened to the people who came looking for answers from the dead and did they perhaps join them on the other side of the veil? Why do none of the cats want to go near Ruth's Room? What secrets lie behind the wall and near the old pond?
How many more horrors are their for the mansion to reveal? Could it truly be a house where evil walks the halls? How will Arthur come with this latest development just when his life seems to be finally smoothing out? Time will tell, but with Rags and his apprentice in training Koko on the case hilarity and mischief are soon to follow.
My rating of "PAWSitively Sinister - Klepto Cat Mystery Book 11 - Klepto Cat Mystery Book 10" is 4.75 out of 5 stars.
This couple of veterinarians have adventures galore! You wonder how many of all the 9 lives their cat has gone through in his clever exposure of secrets and catching the bad guys! I enjoy following them through these stories of kitty highjinks and more plot twists than a bag of pretzels! What fun is coming next?
Patricia Fry makes Rags come alive .All her character are like a part of my life Michael and Savanna help Detective Craig solve the most complex crime With the help of Rags and this time his pretty friend Koko. A wonderful must read for all who love cats and mysteries.t
OH how I love this series!! Another cozy mystery featuring Rags the resident Klepto cat and boy does he ever save the day in this episode! I admit freely I was scared there a couple of times--would Rags and Koko be okay? This one is filled to the brim with spirits (and not the friendly kind), dead bodies and lots of jewelry. Will the humans be able to get to the bottom of what is going on in that old mansion? Read it to find out!! PAWSitively Sinister
Every one of these stories get better and better. Just when you think things with the Ivies and Rags are settling down, up comes another adventure. This time things change with every turn. If you like mystery and the supernatural, this book is right up your alley.
I loved this book, it kept your interest with the many different characters you met and how the mystery kept you going until the end. Of course being a cat lover, their involvement made it even better.
Lots of twist and turns if you like cats who see and hear spirits. Cats do have extraordinary power's especially Siamese. The book got a little redundant at times could have cut down the verbiage and still have the same outcome.
Enjoyed this book, the hidden tunnels, weird vibes, stuffed people. The cats as usual save the day but you don't expect the outcome. I'm delighted that there are more books about this cat, Rags, and his family.
