To know more read the book Things End But Memories Last Forever. Strength Of The Book: The story is beautifully crafted with real appearing incidences. Dialogue writing is amazing. All characters are defined properly. Story goes in the same flow up to the end and somewhere deeply touch the heart of readers with described melodious moments. Dilemma remains till the end of the story and doesn’t let readers to skip out the pages without reading. Besides this, addition of very usual family drama makes narration alive by affecting the morale of story. Weakness Of The Book: Story goes so fast from the very first page. Grammatical errors leave negative impact. The entire story is circulated with the group of teen agers which is not able to drag the attention of readers of twenties or thirties. Writing style is not matured type. And lack of literature really makes readers depressed with the book. Irrelevant things are also embedded. Conclusion: Title of the book doesn’t suit with the story. The way of narration is really unique and admirable. Story is fragmented in different parts which are scattered up to end. Ending is done in awesome way but the matter of the book could be more impressive with touch of more fictitious moments and thread of literature. Review Points: 2.5 out of 5 Review By: Kamal Paneru
Book: Things End But Memories Last Forever Author: Kumar Milan Pages: 150 Genre: Romantic Fiction, love story ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We are neither friends nor enemies. Just a stranger with some memories.......
I bought this book from @rachnayeofficial This book conveys hopelessness of life in the first half and hope, love and life in the last part with a perfect ending of a incomplete yet complete character. The way author connects to the reader through the journey of Abhi is remarkable. Beginning as well as ending will make you love the book. Feelings don't walk away, people Do was my personal best chapter.
The narration hooked me very well into the story and I find myself finishing the whole book in just one sitting without a break. The story made me laugh, even make me sob when I read the last chapter..."Few Words left Unsaid..."
One of the best part about the story was almost each chapter ending with different quotations and a positive note. Also the dialogues were spoken in a very familiar manner, even sarcastic sometimes. The story line will remind you of your teenage years, where nothing was off limits. I personally felt so connected when I was reading the story. You can definitely relate some incidents.
The love story was heartbreaking but as the story goes ahead it makes me realise that even bad experiences can make you more wiser than before.
“My feelings remained the same but you chose to walk away…” quoted Kumar Milan in his debut novel “Things end but memories last forever”. This story revolves around Abhi a school student first and then an engineering student and his not so happy love story. The story is a narration by Abhi to her best friend Ridhima after a near death experience in which his family loses an important part of their family which is their loving XUV. His story includes all the incidences of his innocent love for Nikita, care-turned-lust for Riya, frustration for Shreya, his recent accident and all those that have taught him multiple lessons in life.
My opinion: Positives: Based on the love of school going children, this book will surely be loved by teenagers. The story is a bit fast, but the middle chapters are written in a wonderful manner. One of the best parts about the story was the chapter endings with different quotations suiting protagonist situations. Even if the story was not so interesting for people with age above twenties, it will remind them of their childhood and the memories associated with it. The story will make you laugh and connect with it on some points which will make it a delightful reading experience.
Negatives: Talking about its negatives, the the story is well thought, but the writer was not successful in creating a visual appeal for his readers. His immaturity in writing is clearly visible in his story. Apart from some minor grammatical errors, the story could be written in a more descriptive manner with some addition of literature.
Overall ratings: Book Cover: 4/5 Plot: 2.5/5 Character justification: 3/5 Final Rating: 2.25/5
Things end but memories last forever is one book that reminds of school days, that friendship, first love and the madness of teenage. The starts in a great pace which seems to be pretty vague because many events seems to be skipped. Narration is brilliantly done, dialogues are beautifully crafted. The only drawback about the book is it's editing and the writing style of the author. My verdict about the book would be 'a great story that fell flat because of technicalities.'
I would rate the book 3 out of 5 and will surely wait for the next book of the author because I can see the potential of the author that will surely be coming out in next ventures. I wish him great future.
