These females MC know they get on my nerves 😒. How you got a good man standing 10 toes down behind you through thick or thin, but you betray his loyalty not once but twice over found fam that stay giving you their tailpipe to kiss 🤷🏾♀️.
But ima still beside them, though, cause these ladies aren’t done yet. Up Next… Gang of Roses: Dice by Blaq Byrd and I love her writing.

I was so excited when I saw Connie come out with a new book. I didn’t expect this to be the result. I couldn’t connect with the characters, the plot was lackluster & everything felt rushed.

I enjoy this author's work and this writing was slightly different than the other books I know her for.
Not at all a problem.
This is part of an anthology where the story is being told over several books by different authors.
I've read from the authors of the next two books (another anthology and I enjoyed them both).
However, to write a "continuing story" across a few books with different authors is challenging.
I think that is why this reads slightly different than what I'm familiar with from the author.
I LOVE how our FMC was written and I love how patient yet dominant the MMC was.
The spice and connection when they were together-I loved as well.
My biggest critique is that I feel like we got dropped off in the middle of a complex story that introduced more complexity throughout.
So basically, we have a lot of questions to how we got here with no answers YET...
I also feel like a lot of the characters' chemistry and relationships were established off page which made it harder to connect emotionally with them. Not just the romantic aspect but the women's friendship as well.
The scenes were written with emotion that I loved but because I didn't know their story- I couldn't really emotionally connect with what was going on.
I give it a 3.5/4 for those reasons.
HOWEVER, I do recommend this read and the series because I definitely believe it will be enjoyable to continue.

And it starts....
Rating - 4.5🌟. And it starts a little something like this. I can feel that this series is going to be fire because each woman has their own personality, beliefs, and values. These women live their lives on their own terms. They have also formed an unbreakable sisterhood. Now, I will say that D-Row's family dynamic was somewhat off-putting to me. It was a plot twist that I would have never guessed. Although, the family "business" ran like a well-oiled machine to the point that there were no hiccups or mishaps while working. However, I do wish the book was longer, and we got to know more about Kash's background. Her past could have been brought to the forefront more. The certainty in this read is D-Row loved Kash. He made sure to lock her all the way in.
I am anticipating this next installment because these women do not play any games. They stand ten toes down while standing on business. I am ready to read Dice's story, and hopefully, Rebel is not too far behind.

I'm So Invested!!
Solenne aka Kash is apart of a motorcycle gang made up four women/sisters. In which they lost one sister in something that terribly wrong. Kash, Dice, and Rebel are doing their on thing because losing Rose caused a rift between them. Declan is a bank manager, who's the oldest of three making sure his family is good by any means necessary. They met in college and Declan is her go to person. Declan knows Kash is a runner and scared of commitment so he's not giving her a choice. Kash knows that her sisters are doing their own thing , so in her mind they will pull off this last job and then she can be a mother and a wife to Declan and lil Kash. Declan is pissed Kash took his papers and not included him in own plan that he came up. Kash her piece out the glove carpartment and started shooting. In her head she has a protect the family since Declan was driving.

Kush is a part of an all girl group that take what don't necessarily belong to them. On their last mission, they lost a partner. This, of course, hurts them all, but it also is the root of their blame game. After they come together to lay their friend to rest, they all go their separate ways for a time.
After being away from about a year, Kash returns to town and reaches out to her "man" Declan.
Declan is the oldest of his siblings. They also work together to obtain items that don't belong to them. However, he works in finance and is working on something of his own.
Declan only has eyes for Kash and has arranged his life that proves this. He has claimed her, but she doesn't know it yet.
When she returns and contacts him, he makes it his business to let her know his intentions.

The gang is a trip lol
Kash was a hot head. Hate that Rose passed and the girls all separated, but glad they got back together at the end. The Gang of Roses was into some stuff I tell you that! It kept them girls paid. Kash and D Row were something else. Glad she came back home to him and he was there waiting. D Row and his family were a trip also. He always had a plan or scheme cooking. Ready to see what happens in Dice’s story. I feel like she has some secrets… a daughter seems like it and maybe that baby is from someone close for her to hide it from the gang.

Never Letting You Go!
It started off interestingly and with a lil beef so I knew it’d be good. The storyline was different and not typical and I love that. The drama and adventure in their lives keeps you locked in. Kash was tough as nails but soft as a rose. Declan was all man and didn’t play about her. He loved her and his family hard. They work hard and play harder together. Declan puts in work all the way around as a lover and provider. He won’t stop until he finishes the ultimate purpose he has for his job and family…to be forever secure.

OMG.. I am anxious
Why start this series so strong? Ya'll already knew that Connie was going to EAT. Kash and Declan story was top tier. My girl was lost and went home to her happy place. It was the turmoil of all the girls for me but Kash... her demons are different.
The way I fell in lust with what is to come because of what I just read... Help my hopes and don't dash it with water.

Connie. OK so I get the thought of this. I like the sisterhood. They are a bad team. Declan had two sides to him. He is a very good guy as far as family and loyalty. I can't wait to see what happens next. 🤗🤗🤗🤗

It was just Ok. It and really pulling me in. The gang was just all over the place? Rose died but wtf happened? Who hesitated? Why was she mad at Dice so hard. I was just lost. The plot wasn’t plotting this time.

Let’s Ride!
The cover art is gorgeous and the plot kept me turning the pages! A female motorcycle gang that is part of a heist! Powerful themes explore grief of sister and the fear of commitment! This was a unique love story but so much more!

Love it
Kash is on point. She has been through so much. I love how D made sure that the last time would be the time she ran from her. They were both protected over each other and their son.
I would recommend the book.

I love a dominant MC and Mr. Declan was definitely that. And the girls were some gangstas…love that! First time reading something of Connie Easton. Need to know more about Rose so I’ll be continuing this series

This one is part of a continuing series, and while I haven’t gotten to the rest of the books yet, one thing is already VERY clear...
I am a Declan fan. 😂
Kash was trying to give my boy all the mess, and he was still standing ten toes behind her. But what I liked was that he wasn’t just blindly going along with everything either. He was making it very clear that if she needed to be taken care of, he was going to be the one to do it.
And that’s really where the dynamic between them hit for me. Not every woman has had the kind of life where being cared for comes easy, and Kash definitely wasn’t making it simple for him. But Declan was trying to show her that there was another way to live. He wanted to give her the kind of soft life he felt she needed and deserved, even when she was doing everything in her power to make that difficult. 😂
I liked watching that push and pull between them because Kash was not the type to just sit back and let somebody come in and run things, and Declan wasn’t the type to back down just because she was giving him a hard time.
This definitely made me curious about the rest of the crew, because if the other ladies have stories with this much personality behind them, then I already know I’ve got some catching up to do. I can’t wait to get into the rest of the series and see what kind of mess these women are bringing with them.
But for now?

The start of this interconnected series came in strong!! Kash was in her soft girl era and only turned up it when you was messing with her. I loved Declan that negro hated his job but definitely saw it working out for him and his team in the end. This book opens up with the gang losing a member and shows you the fallout. I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds with Gang of Roses 🌹
