Werewolfs, vampires and the Anita Christ OH MY!
In this world myths are real. The human population is around 10 million and the supernatural population is to wide to maintain.... which means A LOT! The artwork reminds me of Hellboy and Baltimore, clean lines, deep shading and great color treatments.

3. Freddy. It's Davy Jones.... not really, but it kind of looks like him. The characters are really interesting. You have Antoine Wolfe, known as Wolf, then you have the multiple vampires, and then Sterling Gibson, the wealthy racist business man who has hired Wolfe to do a job.

2. Double Issue. I love when the first issues are double issues. You really get a good feel to the story and nothing seems to rushed. Plus, it's basically two issues for the price of one!

1. Anita Christ. Seems that she can see dead people, was standing in a pool of what I think was her mother and father's blood and has the name Anita Christ. Oh and did I mention that she is probably the job he has been hired to do.... I'm only guessing here, but it does seem that way.

Curiouser and curiouser. Where is this story going? Starts with an interesting cold open, slows a little in the middle, then a bit of a gut punch at the end. Feels like a nice hook, and I want to peel back a bit more of the obscurity and learn more about this world. The minimalist art is nice and easy to take in and certainly helps with such a complex story. Some folks might draw comparisons to Fables considering it discusses myths, a protagonist who helps norms and specials and who oddly enough is named Wolf. This story left me wanting more... To see more of the puzzle if you will and to find out how it will all play out.

I liked the art. I liked the colours. The story was a bit convoluted but ultimately came out pretty decent for a first issue. Some.. odd choices for characters and quite the jumble of myths and stories all piled together. Seemed to work okay since each one wasn't detailed too much.
