REVIEW: 5 stars! Walker Pride is the first book of Bernadette's new family saga: The Walkers. When I heard that she was writing a series about cowboys I was excited. Her series are always so original and I never tire of seeing what she comes up with. When I think of cowboy stories, I imagine the ranch, horses, cowboy hats, drama and suspense and Bernadette gave us that and more!!!!
This book had drama, family feuds, secrets, a suspense that had me engaged 'till the end, humorous conversations and romance all in one. She incorporated those elements so effortlessly and realistically that you'd think the story was unfolding right before your eyes. :)
Her characters were flawed, true to themselves and lovable at the same time. I loved being on this journey with Eric and Susan as they learned to embrace the blossoming romance between them. Susan challenged Eric and stood by him when his world was turned upside down. And I love that Eric found in Susan a reason to get out of his lonely world-so as to let her in his heart <3
This quote is from one of my favorite scenes:
I cracked up so many times at the conversations and just couldn't get enough of the Walkers!!! They are all wonderful and I can't wait to read all of their stories :)
Walker Pride is one of my favorite reads of the year and I am QUICK to give it 5 Romantic, Engaging, Dramatic, The-Pride-Is-In-The-Walker, Family-Sticks-Together, Awesome stars!!!! (Read the book and you'll see what I mean) ;) ..................................................................................................... *** For more bookish fun follow my boards on my Pinterest Book Blog @ https://www.pinterest.com/bookscapes/*** :)
Walker Pride (The Walker Family #1) by Bernadette Marie
This is the first book I've read by Marie. To say that this book was fantastic would be an understatement. I can't put into words how much I love this book.
Susan moved from Colorado to the lovely state of Georgia. She is getting her business off the ground by going to trade school and catering. She doesn't expect to fall in love with the Walker Family and one Eric Walker. The quote I chose for Susan is: “I always thought it would be interesting to be a mail carrier or even a trash collector. Can you even imagine what they know?”
Eric is a homebody. He doesn't like others being in his space. When his uncle decides that he wants to gamble away some of the Walker land he gives away Eric's home. The quote I chose for Eric is: “You pave a path for yourself. His has been paved with mistakes the entire family has had to pay for.”
This is the first book in The Walker Family series. This is a Western Romance novel and is 204 pages. This story follows Susan and Eric. Susan divorced a year ago and moves to Georgia to start a catering business. Eric’s uncle gambled away the family property and now someone wants Eric dead. A family secret he needs to uncover as it is destroying his livelihood and even possibly his life.
"Walker Pride" is book one in "The Walker Family" series by Bernadette Marie. It was such a great start to a series and keeps you reading on to see what happens. Susan is new in town and left her ex-husband because he hit her, and she was not sticking around for it to happen again. Eric recently lost his grandpa and meets Susan at his funeral. Susan is starting over and has started a catering service. Eric is awkward because he doesn't do relationships and doesn't know how to act. He has worked on his families land, and that is all he is used to. There was a lot going on in this book, but the way it tied together and the ending was great. My favorite part is the picture that Susan captured of Eric and his horse. I look forward to continuing on in this series.
I love Eric. He was strong and broody but his love for his family is so amazing and wonderful. Eric is losing everything. His grandfather died and his uncle messed up. His uncle is a good guy but messed up. Because of this Eric's home is about to be handed to the Morgan's. His mother's family who disowned her so he thinks. As all this is happening, Eric meets susan. Susan the caterer who he can't get out of his mind. Generally Eric is a loner but she calms him and helps him feel whole. When family and people start to get on his nerves, thoughts of Susan is what calms him. He falls for her but his life is complicated and dangerous as well.
Susan is kind and spirited. She speaks her mind and keeps Eric in his place. Eric loves her for her and supports her something she is not used to. Her ex was nothing like Eric and this takes her awhile to see. That not everyone is like her ex. As they get close danger is becoming more prominant. Someone has taken away all that Eric holds dear-his business and Whiskey River. Susan helps to comfort him. But the mystery is there and when Eric goes to get answers a whole new pandora's box is opened up.
This is a sweet romance. We see two people one spirited and one broody meet under stressful circumstances begin to see each other under the idea that it will just be a see as we go along deal. As they go along, they get closer and fall for each other. Eric's life though is in disarray and at times he acts like a asshat. HE's confused and angry. But he also learns things. He learns that his mother isn't all she seemed and that his stepmother is really a mother to him. He sees that he needs to show his stepmother how he feels. He sees that family is there for you and you can ask for help. He sees that you need to give people a chance for they may surprise you. Susan learns that not everyone is going to be like those in your past and it is okay to fall in love again and keep who you are.
The plot twist was wow. I didn't expect to learn all about Eric's mom that i did. I didn't expect that about the Morgans but it was great to see Eric begin to accept Tyson and his sister and vice versa. The reason for all that was happening just incredible.
All the brothers were great. I wonder though what is going on with Dane. Why doesn't he want to move? What is going on in his noggin? Each brother is outgoing and fun. Sweet and kind but also are there for each other and there family no matter what.when ERic acts like a douchenozzle they call him on it and straighten him out. When ERic loses his horse they are there for him.
A warm sweet romance with a great emphasis on family and second chances but also has a lot of incredible twists as we find out secrets that brings families together, danger that brings a father and daughter closer and a love that is supportive between Eric and Susan that will have your heart smile and swell. But really the mystery of the danger and all the secrets revealed just wow. A really engaging wonderful romance with a element of danger and mystery to keep you on your toes.
A wonderful story of a family dealing with loss, past hurts, and newly uncovered secrets. When Eric Walker goes to his father's house for the reading of his grandfathers will, never does he think he will meet the one woman who seems to get under his skin and into his heart. Susan Hayes, new in town trying to start her life over after a divorce, isn't looking for any kind of relationship but the draw to Eric is strong. This is a great start to a new series and I am looking forward to reading more about the Walker family! I definitely recommend this one.
Bernadette hits the ball out of the park with the first book of her new series called The Walkers. As usual, she provides her readers with a very strong and loving core family unit. The story has romance, humor, mystery, and the typical southern family feud!!!! I recommend this to everyone.
Eric Walker is a true cowboy at heart, he lives on his own and runs a business on a ranch where he boards horses and raises beef cattle, he has a big family nearby and a routine and structure in his life which he has developed over time, but that all changes when his grandfather dies. Susan Hayes has moved to Georgia to make a new life for herself, she is running her own catering business and has dreams of opening her own restaurant, so she attends culinary school on the nights where she isn’t catering for parties and events, but all that is about to change when she caters for a funeral at the Walker estate.
Eric prefers his own company to that of his family, so when he goes to his family’s house, he is not in the best of moods, because he has already had to spend the day before interacting with them all, so when he storms into the back door of the house to listen to the reading of the will, the last thing he expects to see is the caterer and he is the last thing she is expecting to see either. They are both immediately struck by the other, but when Eric starts to pinch food off of her platters before they are even set up, she knows that he is trouble personified, however, she is intrigued by him during their small conversation and Eric cannot stop conversing with her despite the fact that it is completely out of his character, that is until he is summoned into the study with the rest of the family.
As the will is being read, some shocking family secrets come out of the woodwork when they find out that they are going to have to relinquish half of their lands back to their original owners as payment of a gambling debt which his Uncle got himself into, they also find out that there are other things mentioned which make the entire group angry and stressed out, especially Eric as the part of the land is the one on which he has built his life, business and home. Susan meanwhile is doing her best not to listen in to the raised voices and keep her professional demeanor in tact, however, when the conversation comes round to one of Eric’s cousins that she needs a place to stay while she is visiting, Susan immediately offers her a place to stay as she is in need of a roommate and also needs help in the business, so she offers a job as well. Eric’s cousin is taken aback at the ofer and agrees to think about it before leaving to escape to Eric’s house and away from the family she doesn’t believe even want her there. It is during this conversation and the rest of the afternoon that Eric realises that he cannot get Susan out of his mind, so when his cousin calls to go and see the house, he jumps at the chance to see Susan and get a glimpse into her life at the same time. One house tour and dinner later, the deal is done and Susan is inadvertently invited for breakfast at Eric’s, despite the fact that he cannot cook and has a houseful of drunken brothers when he returns home.
The next day, Susan surprises Eric with a lunch at his home, when this goes well, he insists on the breakfast date again and when he wakes up early and goes to see to his horses, he surprisingly finds Susan already up at the barn taking photographs, also to his amazement and hers, they end up in a passionate kiss before being interrupted by one of Eric’s brothers. As the days progress and Eric and Susan become more involved, Eric’s family troubles are just getting started, as well as the land, they also want to move his mother’s gravesite, then he finds out that his horse and one of the horses boarded in his barn, as well as six head of cattle have been poisoned and none survive the ordeal, including his partner in crime and best friend. He is torn up and turns to Susan for comfort, but will their newly forged bond be enough to see them through the hard times to come, or will their pasts get in the way of what could be something beautiful? As things turn from bad to worse, will Eric survive the attempts on his life, or will his Walker pride prevail and see him through? This is a romantic suspense with secrets, revelations, romance and grief all rolled up into one fantastic package which will leave you wanting to read more.
"Why is it that a piece of very good property, legally purchased fifty years ago, now goes back to the original owner in a 'bout of bad luck?' "
The Morgan family has just acquired the fifteen-hundred acres to the east of the Walker property.
The "real" Walkers and the Morgan's - the strife between them has been brewing for decades. What kind of family doesn't even accept one of their own?
"So if the Morgan's acquire this land, what's going on there?" Byron loses the property over his gambling losses and now someone is out to destroy the land? Animals are dead. The cemetery is vandalized. Cars are targeted. Not just the Walker's but the Morgan's too. Who is behind it?
"OIL" you think that's what this is all about? Yes, but it doesn't make sense to destroy the property over it. Especially if the deal is to sell the oil rights.
Eric's mother is the bargaining chip. Pg. 239
Eric owned a horse-boarding business. They took his horse, cattle and ruined his business. Yup! Dwight Peterson is planning on buying the oil rights of the land.
No matter how messed up all of this is, it brought the Walker family together.
Even the Douglas Brant suspects something. (Oh really)
Eric was sure Shooter Magee was the guy messing up his life. So what was Peterson and Magee doing at the Morgan's?
Well, well, well - it seems Shooter was the man who sat up the card game in which Byron Walker lost. Elias paid his gambling debt. Mr. Walker owes no one.
"Illegal gambling operation set up by Magee is one offense. The game was rigged. Mr. Walker shouldn't have lost." Bethany's father had a gambling problem, which had led him to using the family land as collateral to pay off his debt. His lack of discipline, of any kind, had nearly cost the family more than he already had.
What about the poisoned animals? What about the properties? The slashed tires? The stolen cars? The lurking about, setting off alarms?
Who's out to kill Eric? Once _______ pulls the trigger of the gun, Eric rolled on the kitchen floor - blood soaked his shirt from where the bullet had penetrated his arm. Douglas Brant takes Bethany with him after setting Eric's bed on fire, leaving Eric in the house.
Bethany managed to shoot Brant in the ass with his own gun and cuffed him face down in the backseat.
_______ killed Eric's horse and .......
Eventually, the Walkers are back in business.
Family was a good thing to have on your side. Life is too short not to grab on with both hands.
Eric has secrets but can he survive it keep the land he has loved from when he was young.
Eric work on the land he has forever it seems, he lives for this plot until one day it may be whipped from him due to his Uncle's gambling debits, but can Eric struggle to reclaim what he loves or will he be crushed by devastating secret's which reveal that his family history is not quite it seems.
Susan is starting over her life and business in a new town, she is just getting to grips with everything until a broody, moody cowboys walks into her life and then she starts asking herself questions regarding past relationships and can she fall for this brooding cowboy or will she need to protect her heart.
This is the first book I have read by Bernadette Marie but I love a good cowboy story and this did not disappoint. I loved the characters and I think when a author shows them with flaws and all you find them more endearing and relatable to invest your emotions in and Eric and Susan do not disappoint. They both have to overcome some major life changing dramas and feeling you are working this out them is great.
The story is well written and the characters as I have said were brilliantly, I also thought the secondary characters really enhanced the story and can't wait to read the stories of each of the brothers and see their histories uncover as I bet there are a few juicy stories in them.
Thank you Bernadette for introducing me to another family to invest in and can't wait to read the next instalment.
Walker Pride is the first book of the Walker Family series by Bernadette Marie. I discovered this book to have exceptionally well-developed characters. Eric Walker was the oldest brother that lived in a house on the far edge of the property where he ran a horse-boarding business. When he has to go to the main house for the reading of his grandfather's will, he encounters Susan Hayes. After a few pleasantries were exchanged, his stepmother hurries him into the office where Eric's whole world gets flipped upside down. His uncle Byron had gambled away the property and house that Eric had been on, and his grandfather had paid the debt by willing the property to Elias Morgan. Obviously upset, Eric hangs about with his cousin Bethany for a while. Bethany was in search of a place to live since the death of her mother. Ironically, Susan was in search of someone to be a roommate and help with her larger catering jobs. Eric intrigued with Susan and goes with Bethany to see Susan's home. They end up going to dinner, and Eric pays. He tells Susan “You owe me one.”
The plot thickens with Eric's violent interaction with Tyson Morgan. Susan and Eric develop a “thing” that they try to define and eventually settle on a possible long-term relationship. One morning, Eric discovers that someone has poisoned some of his horses and the cattle start dying as well. Who would do this? Eric suspects the Morgans and goes insane when he discovers Susan's car at their home. I was shell shocked when I discovered the answers and the extreme secrets that are revealed as the story continues to unfold. This is a book that I cannot even think of scoring less than 5-stars. If you are looking for a romance story with mystery and fast pace revelations, this is one I would recommend highly.
I found this wonderfully written novel both enjoyable and engaging and thought it was a great start to a new series and an exciting introduction to the Walker family. This story focuses on Eric Walker and Susan, Eric lives a quiet and structured life until his Uncle lost the family’s property by gambling it and Eric’s livelihood away. Meanwhile, Susan Hayes moves to Georgia to start a new career in catering and start a new life. Just when she begins to get settled Eric Walker and his family enter into her life. Eric is dealing with family secrets, someone trying to ruin his business and is being driven off his land, when he meets Susan and falls in love. As well as dealing with the fact that someone is trying to destroy the Walker family Eric and Susan can not deny their mutual attraction and obvious chemistry. Life becomes even more complicated when someone tries to kill Eric. The storyline flows well and the plot is action packed and along with the likeable and relatable characters this novel had me hooked from page one. I look forward to reading future books in ‘The Walker Family’ series.
Walker Pride is the first novel in the Walker Family series by Bernadette Marie. It follows the oldest son of Everett Walker, Eric, and his unexpected journey to finidng himself and someone he wants to share his life with.
Eric is forty years old and a bit of a loaner. He has his business and the house on the edge of his family's property and thats all he thinks he needs. That is until he meets a woman at an event held by his family and she worms her way into his heart and soul, completely unintentionally.
Susan is in Georgia for a fresh start. After divorcing abiut a year ago, she is ready to focus on herself and build her business, which will hopefully lead to another business and an even bigger dream. But then she meets this kind of surly man at an event and she has to wonder if she is even ready for anything like that again.
I really enjoyed this story. It felt very detailed and had a ton of suspense in it. The twists and turns mad eme never want to put it down! Walker Pride is the perfect title and I really enjoyed all the characters (and there are A LOT haha)! I look forwarded to the rest of the series and getting to know the Walker clan even more!
Susan is following her dream and opening up her business in a new town. The last thing she needs in her life is a broody cowboy that she can't seem to get off her mind. After her last relationship, she wants to protect her heart at all costs. But somehow the cowboy is finding his way in.
Eric works hard and keeps to himself. His family's land is his world...and it is being threatened to be taken away from him due to Uncle's bad decisions. One day he crosses paths with a woman that he can't seem to stop thinking about. He is a loner, and he's fine with that...but why Susan vacate his thoughts?!?
While Eric and Susan are dancing around their feelings for each other and their need to protect their own hearts...there is so much going on in the story. There is mystery...secrets that are going to blow your mind...a southern family filled with cowboys...and food that will make your mouth water!
I enjoyed reading this book. It is not my first book from this author...and it definitely won't be the last. There is so much going on that I am looking forward to reading the next book. I am invested in this family now!
Walker Pride (The Walker Family Series Book 1) by Bernadette Marie. I loved this book so much. I can't wait for the next book. This is one of those feel good reads that leaves with that really good feeling. This is the story of Eric Walker who is the oldest son of Everett and he is at a point in his life that he is struggling wondering if he's ever going to find someone to settle down with. He's 40 and ready. When Susan Hayes moves to town to start her own Catering business she is beginning to love it. Susan has become very happy in her new town and then Eric walks into her life. His family is full of drama, secrets and mysteries. Eric and Susan fall in love immediately. Eric is finally convinced his life might be happy until someone is trying to take over his business and ruin his family. Will they succeed. Will Eric ever find true happiness? Eric is a very debbie downer and Susan is a positive polly so they really do enhance each other. They find out how much they really care for one another when someone actually tries to kill Eric. Read this fun contemporary romance!
Walker Pride is the first book in the Walker Family Series by Bernadette Marie. I had only previously read 1 book by this author but I had really enjoyed it and was looking forward to reading the start of a new series. I really enjoyed this first book. This could end up being a very long series as the Walkers are one very big family and I’m sure all will have great stories to tell. AS the book continued more and more siblings, cousins etc were added to the clan. In this book we get the story of the Eldest brother Eric. At risk of losing everything he has worked for due to a bet made by his Uncle, he’s determined to do everything possible to save his house and livelihood. He doesn’t have room for distractions but can’t help be extremely distracted by the beautiful Susan Hayes, the caterer at his Grandfather’s funeral. I adored Eric and Susan’s story. There is so much more than just a romance story in this book. There is danger, drama and intrigue as well as feuding families. Susan and Eric are both great characters to read and I could have read about the two of them for hours and hours. This story was highly entertaining and keeps you gripped to the storyline to see what happens next. Definitely recommend.
This was a great book! I seriously can’t wait for the next book in the series! Walker Pride is book 1 in the Walker Family series by Bernadette Marie. Susan is trying to build her catering business up so she moves to Georgia. Eric is part of the Walker clan and basically just wants to be left alone to do what he always does, which is to take care of the land that he lives on. That is until a family member passes away and all hell comes to head. At the reading of the will, Eric stumbles upon Susan while she caterers this luncheon. She is a bit intriguing to him and he finds himself wanting to know more. Susan just got divorced not too long ago but Eric Walker is interesting and not to mention, pretty hot. I agree that this book was a little bit slow at first but quickly picks up and becomes a serious page turner! I loved the characters and the little bit of mystery with all the family secrets. This is definitely a book that I would recommend and will wait quite anxiously for the next book in the series!
Bernadette Marie once again knocked it out of the park with Walker Pride. It is the first book in the Walker Family series. This book centers around the eldest of the Walker children, Eric. We first meet him as he is dealing with his grandfather’s death. There were many characters in the story including 5 children each by Everett and Byron Walker. Surprisingly, it did not get confusing. The focus stayed on a small amount of characters, making it easy to keep up with who was who. There were also some context clues if you forgot who someone was. I found myself identifying with love interest Susan Hayes. She is a strong woman who has overcome much, yet allows herself to take a chance on love again. Eric is clumsy and awkward dating Susan which just made him even more endearing. Not only was this a romance, there was mystery. I was certain I knew who was behind the property destruction and animal deaths. I was completely wrong! I highly recommend reading this book. It was fun and kept me hooked!
Walker Pride The Walker Family Book 1 By Bernadette Marie ☆☆☆☆☆ This is a full length Novel. Here you will find Western settings and romance. Oh so much more, but No Spoilers here. Just a good clean family based adventure, well worth reading.
Susan has moved away from an abusive affair. Moving to Georgia to start up her catering business. Things were looking good until the day it was not. Eric Walker rancher and quiet, kept to himself. Never bothered anyone. Until his grandfather died. Now he is about to lose everything he worked for. He may even lose his life, if the greedy plans are followed out.
Bernadette Marie is new to me and has worked her way into my favorites list. Her story is well written and will keep you on the edge of your seat. I fell in love with the characters and Eric has caught my heart. This story is one I will remember for a long time. I can't wait to read book 2. Well Done Bernadette Marie! Well Done!
I must confess normally cowboy romances aren’t my favorites, but Brenadette Marie knocked this one out of the park and I was hooked from page one until the ending. I loved this whole read and am looking forward to seeing how this series unfolds. Eric Walker is the man of the hour in this book and his leading lady is Susan. These two do not disappoint and I very much loved the detail with which Ms. Marie wove their story. It was multilayered so I did have to go back a few times to clarify I was following things right and had the idea right. That is the only small note I would make on this one and the only thing keeping a five star rating for me. I just got a bit confused sometimes but I loved the story overall. I hope the next one flows a bit smoother. I think this is a series I will want to grace my bookshelf as well with covers like this one!
5 Stars Walker Pride (The Walker Family Series Book 1) by Bernadette Marie
Walker Pride is the first book in The Walker Family Series by Bernadette Marie. I truly enjoyed reading this romance story. I was drawn in from the beginning and kept me turning the pages till the end. I’ve read other books by this author but this one is definitely my favorite yet. Susan moves to Georgia to start the life she always dreamed of one-day having and to start her own catering business but what she didn’t expect was to meet Eric. His life was pretty well boring until his uncle put his life in jeopardy and gambled away the family’s property. There are twists and turns had family secrets. Can these to have a future together? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author and this series.
Walker Pride by Bernadette Marie is book one of The Walker Family Series.
Susan moved to Georgia to finally start loving her life the way she’s wanted to. She never expected Eric Walker. Eric thinks he has everything he needs. He has his family’s business and his house on the edge of his family’s property. He’s a bit of a loner but he has what he needs. His life is structured and he knows what to expect from it. Meeting Susan and the attraction he feels for her is so unexpected. Things are changing for Eric starting with being in jeopardy of losing his family’s property thanks to his uncle. Eric and Susan face some challenges but will they make it work or will they continue to deny their attraction?
This book was really good. There was a lot of drama and suspense which kept you wondering what was going to happen! Can’t wait to read book two!
Walker Pride (The Walker Family Book 1) by Bernadette Marie is a western romance story.
Susan Hayes relocated to Georgia to start a new life and advance her catering business. Eric Walker and his family appeared in her life just as she was about to achieve all she had ever desired. Eric Walker's life had been peaceful, orderly, and uninteresting until his uncle squandered away the family's assets, putting Eric's livelihood in jeopardy. He fell in love in the middle of family secrets being revealed, someone damaging his company, and someone attempting to force him off his farm. Things will never be the same for them again, especially if the Walker family is destroyed and Eric is killed.
I loved every page of it. I can’t wait to read the rest of the other books in this series to find out what happens.
While I enjoyed this story I just couldn't love it. The story seemed to drag and hover too long in certain areas. There is A LOT of stuff going on to keep track besides the romance. It gets pretty twisty then there is the element of danger. I enjoyed that and the romance but wanted a faster pace.
This is a rather large family filled with cousins and step siblings. I cant really say I made too much of a connection to anyone. I did like Susan and Eric at times. They do have a nice connection that gets pushed to the side or the back to follow family drama. It all rounded out nicely in the end.
Overall this is a good story just not my favorite from this author. I am sure others would enjoy the slower paced story.
This is the 1st book in the Walker Family Series. It is a lovely story about love and overcoming difficulties. The author does a great job at making the characters likeable and relatable.
Susan has moved to Georgia for a fresh start. She has big plans t open her new restaurant. She had plans and goals. What she doesn't expect is Eric to come in a mess them all up.
Eric is a bit of a longer. Happy with his own company. After finding out he was going to lose his home because of a bet his uncle lost, Eric doesn't know where to turn or what to do...
There is an instant connection between Erica and Susan but with them both having problems in their life's can they over come them together or will secrets from their posts stop them from having a future.
I enjoyed this romance story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites. This is a well written story that has characters that bring the story to life on each page. This is a fast paced story about Susan who has moved to start a new life and a new business. Then you have Eric who has someone trying to take his land and business. The last thing he expected was to fall in love. What will fate have in store for them? They are great characters and made the story feel realistic. This is an engaging story that kept me reading to the end. I highly recommend this book and this author.
Susan Hayes moved to Georgia to start the life she wanted to live and build her catering career. Eric Walker’s life had been quiet, structured, and boring until his uncle gambled away the family’s property and jeopardized Eric’s livelihood. Things will never be the same for them. Walker Pride (The Walker Family #1) – Bernadette Marie
4-stars
Walker Pride was a great story from start to finish. It was intriguing, detailed, entertaining and had me captivated from the start.
I really enjoyed reading this story of family, loss, secrets and new relationships. There was just enough mystery to keep me intrigued and had me trying to piece together the pieces of the Walker family puzzle. I enjoyed how the author wrote with so much detail, which made it easy to picture everything playing out in my mind, keeping me highly entertained the whole way through.
I look forward to reading more from this author in the future!
Walker Pride (The Walker Family 1) By Bernadette Marie 5 stars
I absolutely loved this book – I have to say I have a thing for a sexy cowboy so this story was definitely up my street so to speak! I loved Eric! He'd not had the easiest of lives but loved his simple and easy life until it’s jeopardised by a family member. I really felt for him at times and the author did a great job with his character giving him that slight vulnerability – this made me love him even more. I liked Susan too, she was clearly looking to get away from her past life when she meets Eric. Their story definitely had some twists and turns and it is one that I highly recommend.
