Smooth… Classy… Professional… Sexy…

All words that Taylor would have used to describe her dream employer, Alexander Stone – CEO of Stone Literary Agency. That is, until she met him. Now there are much different words coming to mind…

Overgrown Man-child.

Her incredibly serious, professional demeanor clashes with Alexander’s sweetness and vibrant sense of humor and he loves to get her angry. He just can’t seem to wait to hear the next terrible thing she’ll say to him. Taylor, however, isn’t one to back down and Alexander manages to bring out her own dark humor as her need to get even with him at every turn gets the better of her.

The game only barely gets started when she gets a little friendly advice that she can’t seem to shake. Things begin to change for Taylor and she begins to find the girl that she used to be. The more these changes take place, the more her life seems to spiral out of her control.

When her secrets catch up with her as trouble comes knocking, everyone she loves is put in danger. Taylor’s life is threatened and she learns that Alexander has some secrets of his own. Maybe he isn’t just the sexy yet silly, unprofessional man-child she once thought him to be after all…

Great Banter Focused On Not Judging A Book By It's Cover (or flirty remarks) . . .

This book greatly surprised me in a very good way. I though it might be the typical love hate relationship turns into passionate love storyline, but this book was sooo much more. The author managed to cover a wide arrange of topics from domestic violence to miscarriages to correct hunting methods to charity involvement all with in one story. A reader just can't get bored with this book.

Working for a huge literary agency in the big city has been Elizabeth Taylor Lee's dream. Taylor is given the very rare opportunity to be an intern for Alexander Stone the CEO of Stone Literary Agency. However, she is quickly not impressed by the man himself and finds him to be childish, annoying and hardly serious. Alex does nothing but push Taylor's buttons and she can't help but hate him despite everyone finding him so charming. Circumstance from her past injured Taylor's personality making her build walls taking on a more serious and cautious persona. Taylor slowly realizes maybe she had become a bit boring and perhaps Alex is the one to lighten up her life. Things between Alex and Taylor go from "Haha" to "Aha!" as they start opening up to one another about their pasts. Though Taylor's past may be their undoing as her worst fear comes true. The question becomes fight or flight?

Overall, I was greatly surprised but totally loved it. The characters are great and Alexander Stone is now one of my favorite book boyfriends. The witty banter between the two trying to out best each other in obviously denying anything but a somewhat friendship is charming. The author touches on a variety of subjects via her characters and it's rare for that to be done so seamlessly. Only plot issue was a few fast forward moments where the author wrote out of her current character peeped rice to say, "and this much time past and this happened and now scene." It was a little disconcerting. Now I did find the action scenes in the book well timed and just enough for the suspense of the plot. Oh and I'm totally getting me a cast iron frying pan, you'll understand once you read the book. As for the romance scene that wasn't to shall I say detailed, but just enough, their flirtation was what really made the relationship work for me. So, if you are looking for a witty banter filled story with characters denying their possible relationship because of past issues while they work through different present situations and then literally have to fight for their HEA, than give this book a go.

I really enjoyed myself with this book. I looked on Amazon to see what they put this book under for genres and they said military and comedy. I have to say I had a lot of laughs during this book. The bickering between Taylor and Alexander is the best part about this book. She keeps him on his toes that is for sure!

The way you see Alexander you think he would be a rich snotty type of person. I really like how Alexander is portrayed here in this book. I like how he is giving and he is so loving and willing to help anyone out no matter what. He knows how to live life and he knows that there shouldn't be anytime wasted no matter what.

I liked Taylor for her no nonsense attitude. There were sometimes I was thinking "girl just loosen up just a tad geeze!" As you get into the book you realize why she has the attitude that she does and why she is so untrusting and she needs to keep a distance from people. I felt bad for her. Here she was trying to start over and no matter how far she ran her past came calling and coming for her once again.

Now there is a part that you will see through out my reviews with romance novels like this one. I just can't see how Taylor would throw all caution to the wind and fall in love with anyone in such a short time. I do agree that there has been a long space in time since her last serious boyfriend and yes I do understand that she really needed to move on. I'm not sure if just a couple of months to trust someone so quickly. Don't get me wrong I'm happy she was able to but I cannot wrap my head around it completely.

Overall though, I really loved the book. It was great and it grabbed you and pulled you in and kept you in. It wasn't a slow read. I read it in a few hours just because it drew me in so much. I hadn't realized how long I was reading until I looked at the clock. If you want a good ol' fashion love story this is one for you!

This Means War by A. M. Wray

This Means War is a contemporary romance with a little suspense/action. The main characters are Elizabeth “Taylor” Lee, a new graduate looking for an internship and Alexander Stone, the charismatic CEO of a large publishing company.

The book begins with Taylor nervous about an interview for an internship in New York City. She immediately met Alexander Stone, the CEO of the company. She was surprised that he was doing the interviewing and reacted badly. He was trying to through an unexpected situation at a new hire to see how she would react. Surprisingly, Alexander hired Taylor to be his intern and their story began. The internship scenario was not very believable. Within a day Alex turns over his corporate credit card and complete autonomy for a huge project to her without any supervision what so ever. She even demands that he stay out of it. I have had numerous interns working for me and that would never have happened.

The storyline was good and had a lot of potential. I liked Alex’s character very much and thought he was very complex. Through most of the book, I did not like Taylor at all. She was abrasive, immature and mean, but thankfully, she got better toward the end. She had a lot to deal with, so being cautious was understandable, but sometimes, I wondered why she would say and do some of the things she did. Some of the dialogue could have been better.

Toward the end of the book, there was good chemistry between the characters, but it took a whole lot to get there. It seemed like the only time Taylor was into Alex was when she was drunk. He was interested in her the entire time and would go out of his way to be nice, even though she didn’t always deserve it.

This Means War is my first book by A.M. Wray, and it certainly won't be my last. I freakin LOVED it!

Taylor is a very serious, hardworking, beautiful woman, whose past relationship has made her keep people at arms length. Alexander Stone has it all; his own company, tons of money, mouth watering HOT with a huge heart. A bad past relationship has him wary of women, and yet he's still searching for the real thing. When Taylor starts to work for him, he can't stop thinking she may be it. She believes he's an overgrown man child, and gets angry at him a lot. As the game begins, Taylor slowly begins to change back to the girl she used to be before her abusive ex Kade squashed her spirit. However, her secrets begin to catch up to her, and threaten everyone she loves. Will she put her walls back up and go it alone, or will she let Alexander help her save herself and the people she loves?

WOW! My emotions were on a serious roller coaster ride while reading this amazing story. Laughter, anger, tears, edge of my seat suspense, and HOT sexual tension. The characters were very well developed, main and secondary. I loved Taylor so very much because she was feisty, and gave as good as she got. And Alexander was a refreshing wealthy Alpha, as he was fun and lighthearted, instead of broody. A.M. Wray wrote in amazing detail, and I felt like I was actually in the story. She did a great job engaging me from beginning to end, while leaving me wanting so much more. I'm so glad I got the chance to read this book, and HIGHLY recommend!

This Means War was an amazing read, one of those roller coaster reads, where the author had your emotions just all over the place. I laughed, I cried and I got angry. I really enjoyed reading this book, I havent read a book that has captivated me in a while but AM Wray seemed to do just that. Once I started I couldnt stop, the detail was amazing, I could literally see the story play out in my mind which was epic.

Alexander Stone has it all, he owns his own company, has more money than most, looks like a god plus he has a heart of gold, however there is still something missing from his life and he's hoping to find that missing piece in Taylor. Taylor is the opposite of Alex, she's straight forward, works hard, doesnt like to play around and wants to get things done. Her life hasnt been easy especially when it comes to relationships and so long as Kade has anything to do with it, she will never be able to live a happy life with out worries. This is one book you dont want to miss out on prolly the best one I have read for 2015 by far!

This book is going down as one of my favorite reads. I have never read anything by A.M. Wray and I'm so glad to have been given the opportunity. I absolutely loved this book!

The banter between Taylor and Alexander is highly entertaining to say the least. Taylor has been hurt so bad in her past and has built her walls up so high that she is no longer the person she was before. Alexander has a funny, outgoing personality and it drives her nuts. Alexander wants Taylor so bad and just can't get past those walls. He is such a caring person that would do anything to help anyone out and he's just the sort of man she needs. Just when they are getting somewhere Taylor's past catches up with her and puts lives in jeopardy. Will she be able to put the past to rest? Will she let Alexander in?

I highly recommend this book and think you'd be missing out if you don't read it. They were highly entertaining and it was very easy to root for them but it was by no means one of those books where the characters are together right away.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A Must Read!

I got this book when a friend shared it with me. When I came home this was the book I started reading and I just wanted to tell you that I loved it. Taylor and Alex cracked me up. I laughed through out this book. I knew that these two were meant to be together but I wasn't for sure what secrets they had. I am so glad I read this book. Can't wait to read more from her

Loved everything about it

This book had the right amount of everything, danger, comedy, romance. It was nice that there didn't seem to be a lot of grammatical errors. I loved that Taylor was a
Strong character that I found relatable and she didn't contradict herself. Will definitely recommend this book.
