Aspiring heavy metal band, Rage of Angels, have found a perfect place to practice their music: an abandoned church in Spirit Lake, Idaho.
But once they set up their gear on the vacant altar, a barrage of eerie occurrences threaten to drive the band out of their new sanctuary.
When they discover that the church is haunted by enraged ghosts of the Kootenai Indian tribe, they utilize the advice of a voodoo priestess to confront the angry spirits.

Tesemini Brooklyn Ann has done it again! It's a shorty but a goodie and it tells how the band got their name. It involves an old church, a voodoo queen and fighting ghosts! I ain't gonna say no more (<---don'tcha just love the bad grammar)? Go and get yours, it's FREE right this second and let's you know just how good a writer Brooklyn truly is!
A vivid ghost story. A great way to introduce the band, and tell how they cam up with the band name. I loved how Brooklyn introduced the ghosts into the story, along with their own tale.
Loved this prequel and how the band got their name
Great prequel to the Brides of Prophecy series. It tells you how the band got their name and a cool legend that they happened to run across the ghost of. I've read the series and I'm waiting on the next book i just ran across this and didn't k is i had not read it. Loved this prequel. You gotta see what happens to the band and all their friends it's a fantastic series. Great writing and the characters feel like family. Highly recommend
A heavy metal band meets ghosts of Indians. A great start of a friendship that leads to piece between a band and two warring indians.A Great read short and sweet.
This story was a great introduction to the band Rage of Angels. I already read Wrenching Fate. I wish the rest of the series was available through my library or Kindle Unlimited. I'll keep them on my list, perhaps they will go on sale.
I am still laughing delightedly! Our heroes, a heavy metal rock band, rent an abandoned church in a small town to practice in. The church is haunted, of course. I look forward to reading more!
I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review. A short story introducing a metal band and how they came up with their name. I found it to be a nice intro to a series, however I was uncomfortable with a Priestess allowing her granddaughter to perform a ceremony without her attendance. Knowing teenagers like I do, I can see them doing it by themselves regardless of her wishes anyway. I still enjoyed this short story and my only real complaint is that it is a short story! I wanted more. I hope to read more of Brooklyn Ann's books and get more info on her characters and how they develop.

3.5 stars. Decent for a short story, I guess, but implausible in that the voodoo priestess mentioned in the book description would have encouraged her granddaughter to mess with angry spirits without being physically present. More of a draw for future installments than a great stand-alone short.
This was a fun short YA horror story set where I grew up in north Idaho. Along with the great setting, I enjoyed the humor and reading about characters in a heavy metal band. Made me curious to read more about these characters!
