E F Benson at his finest!

As I read E. F. Benson’s work, it seems to age beautifully. Lucia and Elizabeth grow into more mature women and become subtler in their deviousness toward each other. Elizabeth especially.

Fun read in the 'goings on' of an English village and the rivalry between two women who take themselves too serious
