The Exiled Healer #4
The Exiled Healer 4
Start the series with Book 1:
Alexey Mechnikov possesses twenty-first-century medical knowledge—and he intends to use it to change this world.
To create an antibiotic decades ahead of its time, he transforms an abandoned, cursed factory into a modern pharmaceutical operation. But the building hides a portal to a world where time moves faster, workers are trapped, and Necrosis threatens everyone who enters.
Deadly dangers, pressure from powerful families, and the threat of losing his freedom will not make Alexey back down. He intends to save the workers, launch production of a life-saving medicine, and show the entire world what a healer from the twenty-first century can do.
Science and magic, medical mysteries, industrial progression, dangerous expeditions, and irreverent humor come together in the fourth installment of this portal progression fantasy series. This is Book 4 of The Exiled Healer. The story continues directly from the previous volumes and is best read in order.

I am afraid that the series lost its way.
This book is mostly about producing medicine and an ongoing patenting war which were only mildly interesting. Even the solution of the Jusupof affair felt trivial. I especially disliked that his former love was treated like an object. If she gave him her virginity she should harbour some emotions..

interesting
A bit different take on the portal trope, the way the main character takes care of the family honor issue is amusing.
