I was so disappointed in this book. I love the rest of the series and was looking forward to Samuel's 'love story' and how everyone else's stories wrapped up. It felt like this book was written in 30 minutes as an afterthought (or an 'Oh no! I need to get the last book out' book that was written while stuck in traffic). The meat of the story...the stories I wanted to read about were completely skipped over. The most important 6 weeks are not there. I don't want to include any spoilers, so I'll leave it as, "This had the potential to be the best book yet, but instead it is a huge disappointment."
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book I've read by this author and I definitely want to read the first 7 books in the Wilde Brothers series. It's a short read with alot of turmoil for Samuel and Jill. I felt so bad for them many times in this story, but it does have a happy ending. I will definitely read more books by this author.
This is the concluding entry in the Wilde brother series. However, it is the first one out of the series that I have read. I think because I didn't read any of the other books in the series I had trouble getting into the story or the characters at all.
“No one in his family had shown up for his wedding…” (chapter 1, page 720 of print The Wilde Brothers complete collection) Seriously? Unless it was last minute notice, that seems unlikely given the family written about in the previous stories.
And, it was last minute notice.
Whole slew of just not communicating, bottling things up, and then actual medical emergency and stillbirth as a way of knitting everything back together.
Honestly, my overall thoughts are “why did I finish reading this collection?”
Sam is now a lawyer and working for a large practice. He and Jill are having problems. There is a distance developing between them now and he shows no interest in the baby, which could be Jake's. They hardly even talk to each anymore. Sam and Jake are still not speaking. So Logan calls all the brothers and says he wants them all at Ben's cabin within one day to sort it all out. Warring brothers. An ill mother-to-be. Whose baby is it? A separation. I thoroughly enjoyed this one in this great series.
Sam and Jill are having problems and that is an understatement. She is pregnant and it could be either Sam's or Jake's. So not a lot of talking going on and a large distance developing between them. Logan wants them all to sort it all out.
I had great expectations about this book, so much so that I bought on pre-order! But it was a disappointment. I didn't like the heroin and was hoping the Hero kick her ass and get another woman. The heroine is a bitch, weak, no morals, dependent and unsure ... She left the bed of one of the brothers and jumped in to another brother, so much so that she did not know who the father of the child she was pregnant. And the hero is a womanizer who runs away from commitments and that at no time made us believe in his love for the heroine. Samuel was always in a bad mood and said that the best sex of his life was with a whore he got at the bar and humiliated our heroine dating such a bitch. I came to be rooting for him to be with Erin ... at least he was smart and articulate, but it didn't happen. And the end of the book with all that drama did not save history. Big disappointment!

I received this book for an honest review. Samuel Wilde is a hot young lawyer in Seattle living with the woman he loves. The only problem is that same woman is the one who came between him and his brother causing a rift between him and all his brothers. Can their love survive him losing his family over her? Can he mend fences with his family or has too much happened? So I'm torn because I don't know if my issues with this book has to do with the fact that I haven't read all of the previous ones or if it was this book itself. I liked the premise of the book and was intrigued by the characters but felt like big parts of the story were skipped over. I don't want to give anything away but there's a pretty major even that happens that I felt would have been a great time after to really dig in and allow the reader to fully connect with the characters. But instead of taking that opportunity the author skips ahead weeks and everything is all of a sudden sunshine and rainbows. We missed the journey we got the start of it we hit the climax of it but there was no aftermath it skipped straight to the ending. I needed that fallout and how the characters dealt with it to complete Samuel's story as for now I just feel like it's not only unforgiven but unfinished too.
They both made mistakes and are both dealing with those mistakes as best as they can.
Have a tissue handy. Samuel and Jill's story is emotional to say the least. They have issues that need to be resolved before they can move forward. They both made mistakes and are both dealing with those mistakes as best as they can. Health issues arise for Jill just as Samuel's oldest brother calls Mayday. Which is Wilde brothers way to drop everything and meet together for a family intervention. They come together over the medical crisis in true Wilde form. I would have liked a bit more of reading about the after effects of the crisis but after reading the last 4 chapters again I realized that all that needed to be said was in Samuel's thoughts that we read as he was sitting looking out over the lake. The little bits about the other brothers lives was just enough to make me hope for a reunion book for the Wilde family. They are worth it. Purchase the series, you won't be disappointed.
Author gave me a copy of book for a review but I had already purchased it. I ordered this book after reading Traded. Forgiven wrapped up the story with Jake and Samuel. Brothers at odds because of a woman. Samuel was pretty much a jerk to my way of thinking. I understood why he acted as he did but I felt bad for Jill. Jake, Jill and Samuel were all at fault for the situation they were in. There was a lot of angst in the story. I felt the story went too fast at the end. Everything was wrapped up too quickly to me. I have only read the last 2 books of this series so maybe there is more to the story than I know. I have the other books and plan to read them. I give it 4 stars because it's very well written. I would recommend this book but I think the series should be read from the beginning.
My review may be slightly lower than others for this book as I had not read any of the others in this series. This is the final book in the Wilde Brothers series.
It deals with the aftermath of infidelity, brotherly betrayal and friction between rekindled lovers. There was drama aplenty and it was enjoyable. You could probably read this as a standalone but I would definitely recommend reading the others in the series first as the family history in this book would make much more sense.
This is not my typical read but still enjoyed a great story from Ms Eckhart!
I received a free ARC of this book for an honest review.
This was a great ending to the series. Samuel learns a very valuable lesson about what is important in his life. He learns what true love and family really mean to him. Jill redeems herself in this book and shows Samuel what is important for them to be together.
This is the first book of the series that I have read and I really enjoyed it. Samuel and Jill are dealing with the consequences of their past actions and the resulting friction between the Wilde brothers. Unforgiven can be read as a standalone, but there is a lot of family history that I can't wait to read about in the first seven books. I just preordered The Wilde Brothers The Complete Collection and look forward to reading about the other Wilde brothers.

First I have to say that I love Lorhainne Eckhart's books but this was not one of my favorites. The story is a little cringe-worthy in that it includes infidelity and the resulting pregnancy. Jill is pregnant by her lover's brother. I think this is where it lost me. I tried hard to like Samuel and Jill but too many things got in the way. I do have to say there was some redemption in the end and if you enjoy Lorhainne's books, give this one a try.
I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and words contained here are entirely my own.
I received an ARC eBook in exchange for an honest review. This is final book in The Wilde Brothers series. This is an emotional book of were our past mistakes affect our present relationships almost strangling love both romantic and familial. Lorhainne Eckhart truly knows how to paint a realistic and deeply moving story. I enjoyed Samuel and Jill's story as well as how the Wilde Brothers repaired the riff diving their family. I highly recommend this series!
Well written, but too dark for my tastes. I knew this wouldn't be an easy book to read given the subject matter, but I had no idea how grim it would prove to be and it finished the series on a far more depressing note than I expected.
Loved this series!' All 5 books brings you closer to knowing each family member. The bond between family is stronger than anything. This series shows you are nothing without family..
