A noblewoman desperate for freedom. A scientist who can cross worlds. A prince who may know the truth about her better than she does.
When Faery escapes an arranged marriage by journeying to parallel worlds, a sinister bond with a mysterious prince forces her to question who she is before the secret within her destroys everything and everyone.
Faery thought she was escaping her destiny, putting it on hold. She never imagined she was running straight toward it.
In a medieval world where the existence of other realms is almost commonplace, Faery, a noblewoman bound to an unwanted arranged marriage, longs for escape. When she meets Astrifer, a scientist from another realm, that dream becomes possible. Defying duty, Faery, her wary guard Gawain and Astrifer set out on a journey across worlds, joined by Leon, a modern-day judge quick to accept the impossible. But her path grows darker when Prince Lucius appears, drawn to her by a mysterious and unsettling bond. What begins as freedom turns dangerous, as hidden truths surface and Faery is forced to confront not only the fate she tried to outrun, but the possibility that her own identity holds the greatest secret of all.
If you love portal fantasy, reverse harem, morally questionable princes, yandere, and identity-shattering twists, Faery’s story is waiting for you.
I really liked the character development - Faery captured my heart. I felt her character in my soul. Running from an arranged marriage - you go girl!!! I also love Astrifer - the scientist who is going to help her with her mission. The world building was also done really well and I couldn't wait to see what happened next.

my review :
I really enjoyed this book, although there were definitely some moments where I found myself getting a little bored. Some of the chapters felt slower than others, but whenever the story picked back up, I couldn’t put it down. The plot twists were actually shocking, to say the least, and I never knew what was coming next.
I was immediately drawn into Faery’s world, and I loved how creative the author was with the different worlds, characters, and especially their names. The names were so unique and honestly one of my favorite little details throughout the book. Faery is also such a stubborn and strong-willed character, which I really enjoyed.
I loved all of the characters and how each of them brought something different to the story. Astrifer definitely has to be my favorite, though. I also really liked the added mystery surrounding some of the characters and their hidden sides because it gave the story even more depth.
My only real complaint is that, for a book called The Ripples of an Evil Prince, the evil prince didn’t feel quite evil enough to me. I was expecting a little more from him. 😂
Overall, I thought this was a really creative and unique story. The pacing wasn’t always for me, but when the story got going, I was completely hooked. I loved the characters, the world-building, and the twists, and I’m glad I got the chance to read it.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
OMG, this book was beyond my expectations. It took me to different worlds and introduced me to new people. Some were like us humans, but others were surprisingly strange characters, with different personalities, strange transformations, and, finally, some happy endings.
Astrifer, the scientist whose machine was the reason I got to travel to different worlds. He captured my heart from his first-ever appearance. I manifested then and there for Faery and him to be life partners, but ........ Hush 🤫 🤫 🤫 🤫
Noble Lady Faery was humble, kind, and lovely. She was running from her marriage to the demon but unfortunately was getting caught every single time. As you dive deeper into the story, you are in for a surprise.
Gawain, Faery's appointed guard. Humble, strong, handsome, and always protected Faery. I loved this character a little too much. He and Leon were the entertainment package of the story.
The story not only entertains you with its plot, but also introduces you to many scientific terms, mathematical combinations, surprising elements, and a love story that was taking shape in the background.
Lucius and Faery's scenes were very interesting; I loved their interactions, especially Faery (a surprising element). Though she tried her best to ignore the demon prince, she was getting attached to him for a secret reason.
If you love magical worlds, princes with a dark side, obsessive love, and twists that change everything you thought you knew, Faery’s story is waiting for you.
While some books take the reader on an adventure, others transport them to different worlds and universes. This story was such a delightful experience for me! The concept of the story, the connection between the worlds, and the secrets that the characters have to uncover were intriguing parts of this book.
I immensely liked the character of Faery and the way she resisted the forced engagement and marriage proposals. It was fascinating to delve into the story and explore what new mysteries would appear in front of the main characters and how they would resolve them. This book has so many elements of fantastic fiction, adventure, puzzles, and other factors that made me fall in love with it!
The presence of such lovely characters as Astrifer, Gawain, and Leon in the story is also a factor that influenced my choice in favor of this book. Yet, the evil prince presented in the story is a mysterious and unpredictable character, which is also an enormous plus for the narrative.
Finally, I like the fact that the plot of the book contains various twists and turns that keep the readers interested and guessing what will happen to the characters next. If you are a fan of fantasy, magic, adventure, mystery, and puzzles, this book you should definitely add to your list of favorites! This book provided me with a lot of surprises, and I liked being lost in the middle of a fantasy world full of magic and unforgettable adventures! 🖤📚
The Ripples of an Evil Prince by Rebeka Volarević is clearly a fairy tale - the clue rather being in the name of its heroine, Faery. Although, to be fair, this particular fairy tale has rather more ruthless demons than actual fairies. Princess Faery dreams of other worlds, and those dreams become unexpectedly real when Astrifer, a visitor from another realm, materializes in her room. From there, the story turns into a series of adventures and jumps between worlds, with two more characters - Leon and Gawain - joining her along the way. Things become considerably darker once the true nature of her suitor, Prince Lucius, is revealed, and darker still when another rather unexpected antagonist takes control of her life in a very literal sense. The prose is straightforward and easy to follow, giving the book the feel of a story aimed at teens or younger YA readers. For readers who enjoy light fantasy with a fairy-tale feel and romance - and especially for fans of Otome games, this should hit the right notes. An imaginative read!
I was immediately drawn into Faerys world, I love how creative the author was with her looks & her eyes! I love how stubborn & willful she is. And kudos to the author for the creative character names! I absolutely love them! You’ll find yourself exploring details views of different worlds and characters from those worlds, each with their own backstory. I also love how all of the men care for Faery. They each play a role to each of her needs. Protection, adventure and one of her own. The author was also very creative with giving some of the characters a demon side, which definitely added some more depth to them & mystery to the story. I loved the twist in the middle of the book & the small twists through out it. It was a creative and unique story. Recommend!

I'm a little behind on finishing this ARC but for a good reason since my little man decided to make an early appearance 4 weeks early🥹 I loved the concept of this story, the whole connection between different worlds and all the secrets the characters have to uncover had me intrigued. I loved Faery's character, the way she resisted the forced engagement & marriage proposals, being able to explore what new mysteries would appear in front of the main characters & how they resolved them. I love how the book had many twists & turns throughout to keep the readers interested & guessing what will happen next👀🖤
I loved the concept of each of the main characters coming from an unique, different world. The characters were charming and the story was fun to read. Faery was such a sweetheart, and I loved each of the love interests in their own way. My favorite was Astrifer, but Lucius was quite interesting. I did not expect the plot twist in the middle and it made the story so much more interesting.

I didn't make it through the first 4 chapters of this book. I could not get engaged with the plot, even though I desperately wanted to.
There is a lot of potential for this book, but there needs to be a lot more editing done for grammar. The storyline seems to be a little all over the place from what I read sofar.
If this book was given some more descriptive language and flow, I would absolutely be willing to try it again in the future.

I sadly had to DNF this book, but I really did liked the world building in this. As to why I DNFed this, I felt the plot was going really slow, and there were instances where I found the characters a tad bit too childish.
Also, I did find quite a lot of errors in the book. Or than that, I did read 26% of the book, but I just couldn't continue as this book was just not it for me.
