Amazing not what you would expect and you will be very pleasantly surprised it's not It's a great story and its currently a freebie on amazon and bn It still has the hot brooding male and sassy love myself female but the storyline is up there with the best of them in terms of, I would see this at the movies or if a famous author, not that ms brooks is not, was attached to this and, sorry, it needs to be one book It would be a big commercial hit
I always believed that there was one soul partner for everyone I was still a V my sister and my best friend love males and all t :) eye could do lol but not me until at a party one night I felt him and new and t y end my work poo d changed
Its a quick read. I feel like the prologue is really the end therefore it should either be a dream she has or be at the end. I kept waiting to get to a part of the book that was similar to the prologue and it really wasn't there in the epilogue.
This was a first for me by this author. If you love shifters this book is for you. The story is a definite page turner. Will be reading more from this author.
This book is a werewolf story with a twist. The werewolves have a legend they are not sure is true...a blonde haired, green eyed, fair skinned woman will come to free them all from their werewolf and they will be able to live as mortal men. This woman is known as the mother. When Van finds Sophia he knows she is his True Soul, the one who is his mate and can free him from his wolf. The werewolves view their Were side as a curse and long to be free of it. Unfortunately Van doesn't know how this is supposed to work, so they set out on a journey to another plane of existence to find the Pack Leader who can tell her what she must do to free him. It's an interesting story but drags a bit when the couple get to the other plane. It has a bit of a cliffhanger ending, if you want to know what Sophia has to do and if it works, you must buy book 2.

This was a quick, exciting story. Sophia is an author of children's stories and she believes in the fairy tale that true love waits for her. While at a party thrown by her publisher, she meets Van Longshadow and she is drawn to him. What is his secret and can she trust him that it is the truth? This is a fast paced story with suspense thrown in. It will keep you reading until the end just to see what happens next. Can't wait to read the next one to see what happens with Sophia and Van. This is a first for me from Willow Brooks and I can't wait for more.
Meh. While the world seemed interesting, I just couldn't get myself to care about her characters at all. The h is a goody two shoes 25 yo virgin -insert eye roll- and the H is a supposedly uber virile were that is a 180 yo virgin -insert super sized eye roll-. Oy. It almost read like another para rom book I read a few years ago, too with the whole "Mother" thing.
Finally, I'm over the serial writing phenomenon. I just want authors to write the whole book, mkay? No more short stories that add up to a novel.
Ugh. I can't stress enough that this was an underdeveloped story with characters that gave me the uncomfortable squirms. I've read stories that made me believe the completely unbelievable. This was not one of them. I struggled through but did finish. I will not be continuing the series to find out what happens because I simply don't care. I felt no connection to the characters & no connection between the h & H. I should have heeded the old saying, "never judge a book by its cover", which IMHO was the best part of the book.
I enjoyed the level that the author went to in establishing a history and background that made the story lines so believable. It is also a different and interesting take on the werewolf/vampire theology. Well worth the read and looking forward to reading more from this author: Willow Brooks.
Very interesting and unique. Sophia meets a guy named van. They instantly fall for each other. She finds out he is a werewolf and she is the pure soul. She can save van by helping him become human and no longer a human. They go this forest through a portal to meet the pack leader. Little did they know that she can save every single werewolf and not just van. Wonder what will happen?!

Though there were some slow parts that I skimmed. I was enteral led with this book. I love that it's long and wasn't 85% sex. Im continuing with book 2 because I'm desperate to know what will happen next. The suspense is driving me crazy.
This tale takes a story that most know, or maybe I should say legend, of the werewolf and add a new part. I am extremely interested in finding out what happens to Van, Sophia, and the wolves.
Didn't really care for this book. It was very slow to start. I didn't really want to read everything that was said. Won't continue on with this series.
