Cole - rich player, son of famous actor Todd van Der Hausen
Mackenzie - trusting innocent, daughter of actress Julie Mason.
Mackenzie's mother is engaged to Cole's dad. Mackenzie meets Cole when she moves into his father's mansion. Mackenzie reminds Cole of his sister who passed away years earlier. He instantly becomes obsessed with protecting her. He knows how destructive growing up with his father was and takes the job of being Mackenzie's protector. Although he goes about it the wrong way. There is definitely an attraction between Cole and his soon to be step sister. She seems to have feelings for Cole, but will he give into his feelings for her ? Can't wait to read book 2 to see how this plays out !

This book is number one in a series of three and it introduces us to the main characters of Cole and Mackenzie.
Cole, from the sounds of it, is a bit of a player after having left home at the age of seventeen after a big fight with his father about his mother leaving. Due to a bit of blackmailing his father, Cole has an apartment of his own, paid by his father.
Mackenzie is the daughter of the woman about to marry Cole's father. Since her mother hasn't seemed to grow up, Mackenzie is the responsible person in their two-person household.
Looking forward to seeing things are going to progress between these two step siblings who just met.

Candy Quinn never ceases to amaze me. She is such a talented author not only in erotica but in general. This first book only had one scene that was close to naughty naughty but I honestly enjoyed the story. Already I want to know more About Cole and can't wait to read about Mackenzie's next interaction with him. I'm interested to see how he plans to get her away from his father's place. I'm also interested to see if she will go out to a party with her BFF Jessica and somehow come across dear Cole. I can't wait to read book 2.

ARC review: I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more of this story.
In book 1 Mackenzie Mason learns her mother Julie Mason is going to marry and move in with wealthy actor Todd Van Der Hausen. She meets her step-brother Cole who is afraid and wants to protect Mackenzie because of what his dad to him, his mom, & sister in the past. Continue reading their story in book 2.

Cole grew-up in an unhappy house his movie star Father wasn’t the best. When he finds out he is remarrying and learns that his new wife has a daughter he is concerned she will suffer his father’s anger as well. He is determined to protect Mackenzie but can he protect her from the desire he has for her? Great beginning to a new taboo series. Loved it and looking forward to more.

ARC Review: I read the Taboo Passions: Sylvia & Zach Series and really enjoyed them so I was really excited to read the Taboo Passions: Cole & Mackenzie Series. If you're looking for a series that is short, steamy, and sensual with some naughty thrown in, Taboo Passions: Cole & Mackenzie are the books for you.

Cole is the cities biggest play boy. Just like his dad too. He sees that his dad is getting married but just can't believe it. Then as he is going out the house he stops by his dead sisters room. Running into his step sister.... Now he just wants to protect her and maybe more...
