Okay, first, I DID NOT EXPECT TO CRY SO MUCH. Like, what the fuck!?! 👀 Lookin at you Margaret, Goodness and Hector 😭😭😭 Kissed By The Dark was an emotional rollercoaster. The relationship between Silas, Liam and the little boy (who I will not name, because figuring out his name was part of the fun!) was so fucking beautiful. Every moment between them was like a Scottish Highland Games tug of war on my heartstrings. I was on the literal edge of my seat, palms sweating, waiting to see what would happen with the three of them at the end. It did not disappoint.
Liam was so adorable. The changes he made for himself and the way he began to feel for the ghosts, their stories and their unfinished business was beautiful. I was actually a little bit worried in the beginning that I wouldn’t like him as much for the way he kind of brushes everyone aside, but it was VERY short lived. Because he is an absolute gem of a human and realizes the power he actually has to help them move on. I’m so in love with that sweet baby boy!
Ughhhh, and Silas (or Scythe Daddy as I prefer to call him) was absolute perfection…. Where do I even start. Be my Daddy? 😂 jk (but also super serious). Jesus, he was sexy af. I was hooked the moment Liam heard his voice in the cemetery. I need everyone to let me know when you get to chapter 8 so I can relive that spit kissing vicariously through you. That may have been the hottest thing I’ve ever read. Holy. Shit. The “baby boy” and “daddy” talk between them has me in a CHOKEHOLD. I’m obsessed with their relationship.
I just completely fell in love with our little merry band of ghosts that occupy the cemetery. They’re loud and obnoxious… but also the best little family. Having them finally get their ending/beginning was beautiful and makes me want to cry right now typing this.
The last couple chapters and the epilogue will literally melt your heart. (It will rip it out of your chest first… but then it will melt into a beautiful puddle of ghost goo).
CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS BOOK ENOUGH.

“SMILE, YOU’RE DEAD!”
This is the 2nd installment in the Paranormal Encounters Series and can be read as a 100% standalone!! Although I highly recommend reading Touched By The Dark too because it’s fucking FIREEEEE!!!
That was so fun! I absolutely loved Liam and Silas’s dynamic in this one. One of the highlights for me was Liam's character growth; watching him transition from being a bit of a jerk to someone who genuinely cares about others was fantastic. This book leaned way more into the romance compared to the first book, and I really enjoyed it. To top it all off, the humor was spot-on and absolutely hilarious
What a fun take on a grim reaper x human romance! Liam, who would also probably not make it in a horror film, finds himself rescued and bonded to Silas. Silas, the grim reaper, has been cursed to essentially be HR for a bunch of cranky old ghosts without the ability to leave the cemetery. Turns out the complaints of the dead are pretty much the same complaints of the living. These side character ghosts elevate this story to another level. While cranky, they also have no filter and come out with some hilarious lines. They create such a unique found family and had me laughing along with them and even some unexpected crying. I absolutely loved seeing Liam and Silas relationship grow. Throw in some daddy and praise kinks with some interesting uses of ectoplasm and I was thoroughly entertained. Not only are these two perfect for each other, but they both have the sweetest relationship with a small ghost child, River, who is also stuck roaming the cemetery for eternity. I never expected there to be so much life in a cemetery housing the dead, but I absolutely adored everything about this story.
