I'm starting a new job soon, and since they use Jira for their helpdesk, I was looking for something to give me a flyover of the program and show me some screenshots. This book is a good comprehensive overview of Jira.

The chapters are laid out as building blocks to introduce you to Jira. In the back of each chapter are steps for a project to create a helpdesk in Jira. Jira has a module you can purchase, but this project did a nice job of showing how powerful the program is. I set up Jira on my personal computer with a MySQL database and I was up and running. The book does a good job of not being too complex or easy and I found it very easy to follow along with the exercises. There aren't a lot of books out there on Jira (that I could see), but this is a good one if you need to work with the program.
