Voracity: A Dark Stalker Romance

Rate this book
I prayed for God to kill my fiancé.
The handsome devil answered instead.

I've spent my life choosing the wrong men—liars, cheaters, monsters dressed as lovers.
My latest mistake was supposed to end in a wedding.
Instead, it will end in a tragedy.

And I know who's to blame.
I whispered my prayer into the dark, and the dark listened.

Now the devil is hunting me.

I don't know his name or his face.
He never asks for anything in return.

He only leaves the scent of cherry smoke, and the sense that he knows something I don't.

But he's not the only one hunting.
They crave revenge for a man I killed with someone else's hands.
They threaten to expose what a liar I am.
That there's nothing under my pretty face but anger and appetite.

I know I should run for my life.
Instead, I turn my lights red, and wait for my devil to come through the window.

Full-length standalone with no cliffhanger. HEA guaranteed. Explicit content and dark themes throughout.

I liked the concept, but I feel like it lacked the proper execution it needed. There were minor spelling mistakes and inconsistencies throughout, but maybe English isnt the author's first language, so I wont critique that. One thing that stood out to me was the copious amount of times that the mmc was said to be doing something or saying something in a nonchalant manner. Like, he said this and that in the voice of someone reading the weather forecast, or reading a menu, or making a cup of tea or whatever blah blah blah. There were so many mentions of it that it got insanely tedious and cliche.

Also, at one point it felt like I was reading a completely different romance story?? Like after Dominics death, theres barely any mentions of Scythe, its all just Mark, Mark, Mark. Obviously its the same guy, I knew it as soon as Mark first introduced himself, but the story moves away from Scythe and just kinda forgets about him until like 3/4 of the way through.

Also, Reina is slightly insufferable to me personally but anyways. It also felt like things were happening to her just for the sake of there being some drama to write about.

As I said, the concept of it was great but unfortunately I had to force myself to finish the last half. But the first quarter or so until Dominics death, with the focus on Scythe and his stalking, was great.

i did really enjoy this book. the plot, the characters, etc.

my only critique is that this book is very clearly self-published which is fine but just double check typos, spelling errors and the order of the chapters (there was like a really weird mix up near the end when they were in rome of chapters).

also take your timeeee with character development. i want to know more about her decision to go public and i want to know more just about her in general as well as the preston’s.

great base and genuinely i ate ts up. just clean it up.
