The fate of Dantalion's retainer Baphomet has been sealed thanks to the scheming of the demon Baalberith. Without the support and companionship of his oldest friend, can Dantalion hold onto candidacy of the throne, or are even William's words not enough to sooth the broken, rageful heart of a Grand Duke of Hell?
Oh My Goodness!!! I can't believe this volume happened...So far, this volume has been the BEST, what with everything culminating to this moment. I recently wrote about how Sytry is a puppet and I care very little for him, and this goes into a little bit more of him. Even though Lucifer has awakened, the battle for representative King continues. And our demons are shuffling to gain the upper hand by bringing down Dantalion
I cried at what happened here and what will be happening. It's getting to be so much darker and I feel like William will need to step up his game!
And like usual, the last chapter or so returns to school life, which always gets me a bit annoyed because please let us focus on the demons
Very chaotic, with a lot of battles. Gilgamesh (I don't know why I'm surprised at the random historical-ish figures showing up at this point) is here and up to something.
I admit that this vol was a bit confusing, at least for me. A dear character dies, another one fall into despair and that drives him to create a new contract out of revenge.
Secrets and riddles start to appear once again, revealing that there are more people moving the strings and more things to discover all around.
Thing is, that even though many things were interesting, it looked too fast paced without a moment for the readers to take a breather in order to inmerse ourselves in what I think is a new addition to the current arc segment that is happening at the moment.
Well, let's hope that the next volume gets bit more understating for us mere mortals.
This series continues to be great! A little short on the pages for this volume, but it's also dealing with some dark stuff and what appears to be a new plot arc - here's hoping for more that's just as good!
