This book is great for those who want to start running and have no idea about their level of fitness, discipline, and basic training skills. It gives fundamental explanation with a great sense of humor.

Excellent. The book is outdated in terms of shoes and clothing. If you love to run or interested in marathon running this was a good guide.

I didn't realize how dated this book was until I started reading. He makes a lot very bothersome generalizations and focuses entirely too much on long distance and competition.
