Milked By The Bull Shifter Next Door
Would you sign up to be a hucow for the bull shifter next door?
My life is collapsing around me. My fiance calls off our wedding at the altar after I get the bad news that I probably can’t have children. How do I break the news to my parents and family, who expected me to be married with five kids already by thirty? Unable to face them all, I escape to the little cottage in the tiny town that my abuela left me in her will. I’m starting new town, new life, new me. OK, maybe I’m in denial and hiding from my problems, but can you blame me? I’m preparing to take up the lifestyle of an angry hermit, when I manage to lock myself out in the middle of a thunderstorm. Luckily my new next door neighbor is there to rescue me.
Colton is a pro athlete, so he’s tall and built, but he’s also an absolute sweetheart. Oh, and did I mention he’s a bull shifter and a single dad?
I was not prepared for the way he fills out a pair of gray sweatpants, or his scent after his morning run. Not that I’m looking—or sniffing him! I’m still recovering from a broken heart, and besides, Colton has his hands full. His nanny quit and his new baby son isn’t sleeping and things aren’t going well for his team. What this single dad really needs is someone to nurse his baby boy. Turns out bovine shifter magic can help with that…
Can I really go through with the very intimate ritual necessary to give me what might be my only chance to nurse a baby? The very intimate ritual that involves milking him before he milks me… A better question is, can I really go through with the ritual without wishing humans had fated mates so Colton could be mine?

This story is dual POV, well written, and a fast-paced, sweet and steamy/spicy, forced proximity, single dad/nanny, fated mates, contemporary fantasy romance between Natalia, the female human lead visiting her grandmother’s hometown after being left at the altar, and Colton, the male bullshifter professional football player lead left in a bind by his infant son’s nanny quitting with no notice during football season, and the next door neighbour to Natalia’s grandmother’s decrepit house. Lactation in my spicy romance is a favourite and I adored the way the author incorporated it into spicy intimate scenes, as well as part of everyday life with an infant. I enjoyed Natalia’s resilience and her compassion for Colton and Jayden, and her willingness to help the way she could. I enjoyed Colton’s automatic kindness to Natalia’s initial plight, and his generosity. I enjoyed the spicy intimate scenes immensely. I enjoyed the relationship each had with Jayden separate from each other. I laughed at the playful interactions and supportive secondary characters. I appreciated the way the lead characters worked together when challenged. I enjoyed the importance of family. I adored the happily fulfilled ending.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

Ami Wright has quickly become one of my favorite paranormal authors and it seems like she writes just for me. All of her tropes seem custom written for my sheer pleasure. I got my alpha knots, size difference, and even my secret penchant for hucow romances. Milked... is about a runaway bride who finds solace in a single dad bull shifter in need of a nanny for his adopted baby. It's the sweetest premise mixed with the dirtiest deeds. Our milk man even lends some of his magic dairy for her to better feed his son and him. Nothing quite beats Honey and her werewolf babycakes, but I enjoyed this more than the bear shifter park ranger. A nice happy medium, horns and all. I read this in one day because I had been anticipating it so badly. I don't have any great critiques other than I liked the hero more than the heroine. I'm looking forward to the fox shifter story and seeing what else is happening in Mosswood. I really need to find the coordinates for that town...

This was a messy and steamy shifter/omegaverse/hucow romance from Ami Wright. For me, it’s 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
Natalia has been jilted (over text!! Oof) the day of her wedding due to her infertility. Rather than face a chapel full of family and friends, with the help of her cousin she hops on a bus to the tiny town where her abuela had lived as a young girl. Finding herself locked out of the clearly uninhabitable cottage, she knocks on the front door of the nearest home, only to be greeted by a very tall, very handsome, very out of his depth single father and his wailing infant son. Having had a wealth of experience with childcare both at home and in her job as a preschool worker, Natalia helps the man calm his son while he places a call to a handyman.
Professional football player and bull shifter Colton was secure in deciding to have a baby via surrogate as he’d grown frustrated at his lack of a fated mate, but the reality of an infant who isn’t thriving is causing him great distress and anxiety, which in turn is distressing little Jayden. Two Nannies had already quit on them when the gorgeous, rain-soaked curvy stranger appears at his door like a pinup Mary Poppins, so he jumps at the chance to hire her while her inherited heap across the way is made livable.
Right away, Colton is sure that Natalia is his mate, but she’s still hurting from the traumatic experience with her fiancé. Little Jayden’s health and wellbeing crisis, however, become a catalyst for the pair to become extremely up close and personal for an extended period of time, and Colton is all in on convincing Natalia she’s it for him. A crazed stalker, however, threatens their budding relationship just as they’re ready to take things public.
I was furnished an advance reader copy from the author and bookfunnel, and I’m sharing my honest review.

Milked by the Bull Shifter Next Door by Ami Wright book 3 in Monsters of Mosswood
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶🌶🌶💀
When you read Monsters books you never know what kind shenanigans or folklore is gonna pop up. But Bull Shifter next door definitely hit that spot, where you are like.. do I like this or do I love this or should I hide under the covers. 🫣🤫🤔 Still processing! 😁
Natalie is dumped at the altar but instead of facing the family, she runs. Run away bride lands herself in Mosswood on a stormy night. Yeah you see where is going. Stranded. Knocking on neighbour's door. Only to find a handsome single dad and crying baby. Lightning strikes and fate has stepped in.
A fun fated mate romance filled with smut and milky seduction.
Tropes:
Chose to be a single dad. 💦🍆 in his pants. Heat. Knots. Omega.
Quotes:
“I’m sorry. Where is it sore? I’ll kiss it better.” “Ay! No. None of that. That only leads to trouble.”
“Hey, you’re not rushing. You’re not too much. You make everything feel right.”
“You’re both amazing. Now excuse me while I cover every corner with padding and tape up all the drawers. I can’t take any more scares or near misses. You might both have to wear padded suits every day.”

What can I say “I like them big I like them chunky”
This one is definitely my favorite of the series! I fell in love and sympathied with the FMC from the start. Fate very much had its fingers in Natalia’s and Colton’s relationship throwing them together into an instant family situation that had me all ooey, gooey and giggling.
I think the scene where Colton’s mom suggests she milk her son, so she could make milk for the baby was the most comical scene I have read… 😅 I just about died of second hand embarrassment. Colton was the perfect blend of cinnamon roll and alpha. Enthusiastic concent is s3xy!!! I loved how he waited patiently and didn’t push, but the moment she gave the okay a switch flipped and his bull took charge.
Oh, and sweet baby Jayden made me miss the early years with my girls when I used to breastfeed them. So sweet and precious 🥰
There is knotting and half shifting during spicy scenes if that isn’t your thing. Also heavy on the lactation k!nk 🥛👩🏻🍳🤌🏼
Well done 🫠🥵😮💨

oh my heart....I don't think two characters could possibly be any more perfect for each other!
As soon as we met our FMC, my heart was breaking for her...between her recent diagnosis and then the betrayal from someone she loved....it was all so sad.
But things quickly took a turn and she ended uo right where she truly belonged.
I immediately adored the MMC, single dad...pro football player...and total golden retriever! Did I mention he's a bull shifter?!
Not only does our FMC effortlessly fit right into this equation...our mmc instantly starts to show her what commitment and devotion looks like...and he also provides her with the ultimate gift...everything she's ever hoped and dreamed of.
These two are not only absolutely adorable together but they also are HAWT together......there's no dying their chemistry or bond!
And they both end up with exactly what they both have been searching for!
It's sweet. It's spicy. It's another incredible Mosswood couple!

This was a cute, enjoyable shifter romance story I'd read. Natalia is starting over after her fiancé took a runner on their wedding day after he found out she couldn't have kids. Natalia fled to her aunt's house in Mosswood taking the bus. With help from a horse shifter on a rainy night, she arrives at her Abuela's house only she forgot her bag and gets locked out. She hears a baby crying from her neighbor's house and walks to get help. This is how she meets Colton our bull shifter and his two-month baby son Jayden. What occurs afterward is an engaging story that captured me. Colton is a sweet hearted man trying to raise his new son and Natalia our childcare worker is kind and generous are wonderful characters. the storyline is entertaining and well written in this copy I'd received and volunteer to read and review.

I think I unlocked a new favorite kink.
MILKED BY THE BULL SHIFTER NEXT DOOR is book 3 in the MONSTERS OF MOSSWOOD series. We follow Natalia, a runaway bride who was ghosted on her wedding day, and Colton, a football player who's also a single dad to the adorable baby Jayden, whom he had via surrogacy. The story follows their fake relationship when the paparazzi and a stalker disrupt Colton's life; we also read about their growing feelings for each other and Natalia's - ahem - physical role in both Colton and Jayden's lives.
Look, I've read one-shots of lactation kinks, and judge me all you want, but Ami Wright knows how to make a kink hot. The way Colton practically worshipped Natalia during her most intimate moments and took care of her, always seeking permission before he made her feel good, made me love Wright's MMCs even more than I already did! The kink itself is undeniably hot and Wright did an amazing job not only writing about the positives of breastfeeding, but also the physical, emotional, and mental toll it can take on a mother's body. (And the whole thing of her having to drink Colton's...special milk, let's say, to lactate was honestly so quick and sudden but made for such hot scenes)
And yes, Natalia is Jayden's mother in everything but blood. Fight me on this. You will not win.
The characters themselves were sweet, if not a bit surface level. Jayden was the highlight of this book. This gummy, 2-month old baby was absolutely adorable and won my heart immediately, just as quickly as he won over Natalia. I appreciated that Wright discussed single fatherhood and the challenges/scrutiny that comes with it, because I personally think it's something that needs to be discussed more!
Natalia was an FMC you could very quickly like. She's kind, family-oriented, and empathetic, but she doesn't take crap from anyone; you hurt her family, and Natalia won't let that slide. The way she seamlessly protected Colton from his stalker and how she went absolute mama-bear mode with Jayden at the end made me love Natalia even more. For me, I think the biggest issue I had was how quickly she made decisions - on one chapter she's saying she's not ready for a new relationship, and the next she's trading "I love yous" with Colton. I don't know; the whole timeline of their relationship felt contradictory to what Natalia was saying she wanted.
Also, I felt her relationship with Miguel (her ex) was never fully resolved. The phone call only felt like a stepping stone to what needed to be done, and we never hear from him again or see how he's impacted her, so it felt like a bit of a random plot device.
Colton is such a loveable MMC. He's a golden-retriever, almost himbo type who just wants to be the best dad he can be for Jayden, while also respecting Natalia's feelings despite his intense attraction for her. Colton has his own share of life drama with Siobhan's craziness, but as a whole, he's loyal and dedicated - not only to his team when he refuses to change teams, but also to Jayden. No matter what, this man (bull?) will do anything for his baby boy.
I didn't really understand the side plot of Colton's team suffering and Colton having to decide to move to transfer to a new team, because his football career didn't play a huge role in the story. It felt almost like an afterthought, like he just needed to have a sparkly career. However, I did like that the brief moments we did see Colton playing, we saw more of his intelligence and that he's aware of how any moves could impact his relationship with Natalia and Jayden.
Baby Jayden...oh what can I say about this adorable baby! I do wonder if Jayden is half-bull, but nevertheless, this golden child is an absolute sweetheart and the way he bonded with Natalia was adorable! Literally the only word I can think of for Jayden is adorable, because what 2-month old isn't? Watching Natalia go into mama-bear mode for him was the highlight of the book.
The main plot - which is the lactation plot - requires some suspension of reality, but hey, this is a monster romance, so everything is possible 😂I was honestly taken aback at how bluntly Colton's mother revealed to Natalia how she could feed Jayden, and that part seemed odd to me; Colton's mom just suddenly suggesting Natalia after barely knowing her or knowing her relationship with Colton felt strange, but as a whole, I really liked the plot and how Wright portrayed it. I said this earlier, but her portrayal of the effects of breastfeeding felt realistic and not fetishized at all.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book! This is the second book of Wright's that I'm reading and I hope I get to read so many more!

ARC Review | Advance Reader Copy**
*Milked by the Bull Shifter Next Door (Monsters of Mosswood, Book 3) by Ami Wright*
First of all, thank you to Ami Wright for the opportunity to read this ARC! I had such a fun time with this one, and honestly, from the very first scene to the final chapters, I was hooked. Natalia and Colton's story had me giggling, swooning, and getting far too emotionally attached to a certain sweet single dad and his adorable baby boy. There is just something about a cinnamon roll MMC who is trying his absolute best to juggle fatherhood, his career, and a newfound mate that gets me every single time. Colton? Oh, what a sweetheart. 🥹
I absolutely loved how effortlessly Natalia and Colton's relationship developed. After the heartbreak and upheaval Natalia experiences at the beginning of the book, watching her find a new sense of belonging in Mosswood was such a lovely journey. Colton was so incredibly gentle and patient with her, especially as she navigated a world she knew very little about, believing herself to be human. And the way she so naturally cared for both Colton and Jayden? My heart! Their relationship never felt forced, and I loved seeing them gradually become such an important part of each other's lives. Colton is already balancing so much as a professional athlete and single father, so seeing him find someone who genuinely cares for him and his little boy was particularly heartwarming. Also, a massive shout-out to Colton's family, especially his mother, because that woman is an absolute gem. I loved the support and love surrounding them!
One of my favourite things about this book was getting to explore even more of the shifter world. Ami has such a wonderful way of introducing new elements of monster biology and making them easy to follow without overwhelming the reader. The bull shifter lore was fascinating, and I genuinely enjoyed learning more about the unique aspects of their biology and the intimate rituals involved in this particular story. Add in the small-town setting, fated mates, a cinnamon roll bull shifter, a single-dad romance, and plenty of giggly moments, and you have a recipe for a seriously entertaining read. The drama also kept me turning the pages. There was always something happening, and I found myself wanting to know what would happen next.
Now, while I absolutely adored Natalia and Colton, there were a couple of little things I wish we'd explored further. I completely understand why Natalia wanted to escape after everything that happened at the beginning of the book, and I sympathised with her heartbreak and the pressure she felt from her family. But girl, please just let them know you're alive and safe! 😭 I couldn't help feeling that her family deserved at least some communication, particularly when what happened wasn't their fault. I also wish we'd heard more about her grandmother's cottage and the renovations. The house was such an important part of Natalia's fresh start and the reason she ended up in Mosswood in the first place, so I was a little disappointed that it seemed to disappear from the story once she settled in.
Overall, this was another thoroughly enjoyable addition to the Monsters of Mosswood series. I loved the romance, the fascinating new shifter elements, the family dynamics, and, of course, the ridiculously lovable Colton. There's something so special about a story where two people find each other when life feels like it's falling apart, and watching Natalia and Colton build something together was such a joy. I finished this book with a massive smile on my face, a soft spot for one very sweet bull shifter, and even more excitement to see what Ami has in store for Mosswood next.
If you love monster romance, fated mates, small-town settings, sweet single dads, and a whole lot of swoon-worthy moments, this one is definitely worth adding to your TBR!

⚠️ FULL SPOILERS AHEAD ⚠️
I absolutely LOVE Ami Wright!! Thank you beautiful for allowing me to read this amazing ARC!!!
I went into Milked By The Bull Shifter Next Door fully expecting absolute CHAOS based on the title alone. 😂🐂
What I was NOT expecting was to end up emotional over a bull shifter, a heartbroken woman trying to rebuild her life, and the sweetest little baby. 😭❤️🔥
Natalia’s entire world falls apart when she is left on her wedding day after already dealing with the devastating news that she may never be able to have children. So she does what any emotionally wrecked woman would do… she RUNS. 😂 She escapes to Mosswood and the cottage her grandmother left her, determined to basically disappear from society.
Except her cottage is a disaster.
Then she locks herself outside during a thunderstorm.
And in walks Colton. 🐂🔥
Colton is her VERY attractive bull-shifter neighbor, a professional athlete, and a completely exhausted single dad trying to care for his premature baby boy, Jayden.
And BABES… Natalia and Jayden?! 🥹😭
Their bond absolutely got me.
Watching Natalia connect with this baby while carrying so much pain surrounding motherhood was honestly one of my favorite parts of the entire story. She becomes Jayden’s nanny, moves in with Colton, and suddenly we have forced proximity, emotional healing, a hot single dad, FATED MATES, and a woman slowly realizing that family might look completely different from what she always imagined.
And YES.
We need to talk about the title. 😂😂😂
Because this book absolutely commits to the premise. The shifter magic, the lactation situation, the intimacy required to make it happen… BABES. I had QUESTIONS. I had MOMENTS. I stared at my Kindle more than once like 👁️👄👁️
But somehow underneath all of that craziness is actually such a sweet story about infertility, rejection, healing, chosen motherhood, and found family.
Colton knowing Natalia is his mate but still wanting HER to choose him rather than forcing that bond on her?! 🥹
SIR.
And watching Natalia realize that not being able to give birth does NOT mean she can’t be a mother absolutely broke my heart in the best way. Jayden becomes hers through love, care, and connection, and I really loved that message.
This book basically said:
✨ Left at the altar
✨ Runs away to a monster town
✨ Hot bull-shifter neighbor
✨ Single dad
✨ Live-in nanny
✨ Forced proximity
✨ Fated mates
✨ VERY questionable shifter magic 😂
✨ Healing
✨ Found family
✨ Surprise emotional damage
I came for the ridiculous title and the monster romance.
I stayed because SOMEHOW I became emotionally invested in this tiny little family. 😭🐂❤️🔥
Was this book completely unhinged at times? Absolutely.
Did I still eat it up? ALSO ABSOLUTELY. 😂🔥
If you love monster romance, fated mates, single dads, forced proximity, found family, lots of spice, and books that make you say “WHAT am I reading?!” while somehow also making you emotional…

First Impressions: Natalie's entire life comes crashing down on her wedding day when she's left at the alter and her parents blame her for the groom's cold feet. However, Natalia finds a much need soft landing - and so much more - when she meets Colton, a footballer and new father in her later grandmother's hometown.
Pacing: The story takes place over about a month or so, and despite the novella length, the passage of time feels natural.
Character development: Natalia (FMC) is a sweet, tender, and over underestimated young woman who adores her profession as a childcare provider. When she is given the opportunity to care for Jayden, her neighbor's newborn. Colton (MMC), a serious man with a lot of love to give, is a dedicated footballer and father. Over the course of the book, Natalia forms a deep connection with Colton while caring for Jayden. She finds strength within herself to stand up to her bullying parents and is able to start a new chapter in her life. Colton realizes that the perfect love, and subsequently the perfect family, isn't the way he imagine but ends up finding so much more once he starts to view the world through Natalia's eyes.
World Building: Mosswood is a quirky little hamlet full of nosy neighbors and magical secrets. It's a sweet backdrop for a sweet love story.
Romance: Natalia and Colton are pretty much smitten from the start of the story, despite Natalia's recent heartbreak. They forge a love based on mutual respect, friendship, and shared growth.
Spice: There is a lots of steamy yearning, and a few spicy scenes. However, the spice in the book becomes a means for communication, healing, and galvanizing the budding romance between Natalia and Colton.
Errors and Consistency: This was a sharp, tidy draft.
Overall experience: This was cute, saucy, and endlessly endearing. When we first meet Natalia, and she leaves her wedding dress behind in the bathroom, that was such a perfect way to illustrate how crappy a relationship can dissolve unexpectedly. It resonated with me, and it was a bit satisfying, as though Natalia was shedding the skin of the person her parents wanted her to be in favor of her true self.
I wish there was more explanation as to Natalia's belief she was infertile, and I know the author indicates it's Colton's magic that she is able to conceive. However, that's my only real complaint. Although I do love the reveal of her shifter form. That was fun and unique.

Ok, I was not quite sure of this one at first. I have not read many milking/hucow stories before. I really enjoyed this book though and the trope did not weird me out so much like I thought it might. I am open to many things and just need to have good experience and this definitely did that for me. I love the fated mates trope as well and Ami Wright does it so well. The characters are so relatable even with the supernatural aspect. I enjoyed an early copy of this book by the author and leave this review by my own choice.
Natalia is such a sweet woman (human as far as known) who recently discovered she may never have kids, which is her ultimate dream. Having a big family is all she ever wanted, as well as being loved. Her ex left her at the altar because she could not make that happen necessarily. NO conversation or anything. He just pulled away then waited until her wedding was supposed to start to text her he could not do it anymore. He was a jerk but it is for the best. She ran off to her abuela's old cottage in Mosswood, the safe town of super naturals. She then meets the handsome Colton; single dad sports star.
Colton is an athlete, single father bull shifter. He has the biggest heart I have ever seen and had given up on love. This is why he decided to have a baby via surrogate. He find Natalia at his door drenched and in need of assistance. He is wildly attracted to her from the start. He hires her to be his new nanny because he is in desperate need of assistance. Things get wild from there. He has to fight his attraction for her because she just got out of the long term relationship and is not looking for romance and he is already crazy about her.
She ends up becoming a wetnurse by magic use. Colton was able to cause her to produce milk to feed his baby. Nursing a baby is a dream she had so she jumped on the train and went all in. She tried to keep things from heating up but they are both attracted to each other. Fated mates and all that but since she is human, Natalia fights it off hard until things happen showing her that Colton was right. There is a lot that happens and feelings get hurt and spicy time galore. This is a great read if you like monster spice with shifters in human form and not in human form.
This is a cozy romance with real feels and some suspense but lots of spice. It is fast paced when the spice hits.

Ooooh, this series only gets better and better!
Love cozy steamy monster romance? So do yourself a favour and get this book.
Need convincing?
Ok.
In this book we meet Colton, a very sweet bull shifter who got tired of waiting for his fated mate and decided to have a baby of his own through a surrogate (no cheating or baby mama in the picture, don't worry). However... baby boy Jayden isn't growing as well as he should because bullshifters need to be breasfed with "magical milk" to properly grow.
In comes (pun intended) Natalia, who has just been stood up in the altar by an asshole named Miguel who used the newly unveiled diagnosis that she can't have kids to dump her - at the altar! And, it's soon made clear he already had a side piece.
See? Full-blown asshole.
Our story really begins when Natalia runs from her family out for fear of being judged by them - as anyone with a latina family will tell you it's the reasonable thing to do for the judgement would most definitely come. And the shouts. And the murder threats. And more shouting.
Anyway, she runs right into the arms (or the doorstep) of sweet, sexy, big-boy Colton - and his "magical milk" *wink wink*.
++ S2 ++
This book has it all; it's sweet, and family oriented, and the plot moves; it's also explicit, with both breeding and breastfeeding kinks, and it should come with a slipping hazard warning sign to put around the reader while they are enjoying it. Honestly. It can reach very dangerous levels of wet.
It's definitely a 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ read, matching the ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
I loved every scene in this book, there were no tedious parts, and Natalia's suffering with infertility will for sure resonate with many (it did with me).
Also... Colton kind of made me realise my monster romance addiction has its origins perhaps even earlier than I had previosly thought.
Cowboys of Moo Mesa, anyone?
No? Just me? Are you sure?
Right. I very much doubt that.
(I got this book as an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review)

I absolutely adore the Monsters of Mosswood series so much! The books in this series are incredibly wholesome and undeniably kinky at the same time, which is the monster romance ground I thrive on!!
I loved mamacita Natalia!! She was just the most compassionate FMC and I loved that so much. She was such a natural caregiver, not only to Jayden but to Colton as well, a man desperately in need of help and love. I loved that through her we got to infertility representation, but together they also showed that you don’t have to be blood to be someone mother and connect with a child.
I loved my boy Colton and how he wanted a family so bad that not finding his mate wasn’t going to stop him from starting one. He was so adorably clueless about some things, like most first-time parents, but damn it if he didn’t give it his all! Despite being an incredibly strong and imposing human, let alone bull shifter, he was the sweetest and gentlest when it came to Jayden and Natalia. I absolutely loved how he knew Natalia was his fated mate, but he tried to be as patient as possible and give her all the space in the world given her human status and her past relationship. He was a real deal, book boyfriend for sure!!
And of course I loved all the kinky goodness that came with this book! Vanilla ice cream flavored BJs to produce milk? Lactation kink? Say no more, I was all the way in!!
Thank you Ami Wright for the eARC! The thoughts and opinions expressed above are honest and my own.
4.5 stars!

Y'all, this one completely knocked it out of the park!
I've been nursing my youngest for the last two years and we are currently working on weaning, so this story hit me RIGHT in the feels.
Natalia is struggling, to say the very least. With her life turned completely upside down after being dumped on her wedding day, she does exactly what I would have done: runs away to a secluded cabin in a quiet small town. Unfortunately, after a string of seriously unlucky breaks, she ends up stranded on her neighbor's front porch in the pouring rain.
Enter Colton. He is adorable and the absolute ultimate himbo cinnamon roll who makes this whole book shine. I'm such a sucker for a big, buff softie! He takes things to the next level by not only giving Natalia a warm place to stay, but also offering her a temporary job. Then he goes way above and beyond the call of duty when she needs some very hands-on care once her milk finally comes in. Look, engorgement is no joke (trust me on this one!), so we definitely appreciate a man who knows exactly how to step up in such a delicate situation.
You seriously have got to read this. @ami_wright_author knows how to deliver the perfect mix of shifter romance, omegaverse goodness, and deliciously crazy forced proximity. Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this early! I loved every single page.
I received a complimentary copy of this book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. All opinions are entirely my own.

Milked By The Bull Shifter Next Door
Author: Amy Wright
Release Date: September 29, 2026
Genre: Monster Romance
Tropes: Monster, Size Difference, Hucow, Small Town, Plus Size FMC, Reverse Age Gap, Forced Proximity
Come on! The more we venture into the tales of Mosswood and its crazy – amazing residents the spicier things seem to get. How do you get a woman to lactate without being pregnant…you’ll see and you’ll love it! Personally, hucow is typically a no go for me but AW made it work into the story so well. The MMC (Colton) and FMC (Natalia) are a perfect match. We get an omega awakening and plus size FMC who has realistic expectations and our MMC must work at it before he gets his beloved. He is such a cinnamon roll. I thought Natalias intro to shifters when she arrived at the bus stop was hilarious. The yearning, the spice, the self discovery made this one such a great read. The family lore was a nice addition with Natalia learning more about her family history. As always with AW nothing was missed in the description of the characters and settings. Big ol’ 5 stars for this one!
We see snippets of other characters from previous books, and I recommend that you start at the beginning with Honey & Gryff in Fake Dating the Grumpy Werewolf Next Door.
Triggers: I don’t have any triggers and I won’t helicopter yours. Always check your triggers and be good to yourself.

4.5 ⭐
Man that was SO adorable and I have the happiest of tears in my eyes. The first half was kinda slow, I won't lie. Both in terms of relationship progression and spice, but still not technically a slow burn. At chapter 23 our girl finally stops fighting fate and the explosion that ensues? Insane. It was spicy af, it was so cute and wholesome, and the ending literally had me in tears like that one popular gif of Emma Stone.
The set up was really fun. We get a little forced proximity in her house being uninhabitable currently. We get a little fake dating the nanny because he has a stalker. Both Colton and Natalia were really funny. "The jizz of it." "And that knot? Forget about it."?! Come on 😂 Colton is probably the cutest himbo I have encountered and he is down so bad for Natalia and frankly it was adorable. "Whoever her ex was, he's an idiot for fumbling this way. Lucky for me, I've for the safest hands in the game. I never drop a pass." So cute, right? 😂
Listen if you're not into adult nursing/breastfeeding kink/major sexualization of breastmilk then you're not going to like this because once her milk comes in that's a HUGE theme balanced with her actually nursing a child. It doesn't cross a line and is never inappropriate, but if that's not your thing then the second half of this may not be for you. If it is your thing 😏 please, enjoy Colton and his thiiiiiiirst for Natalia.

Not only did this book bring me back to the joys ofl shifter/abo romance it also is perfect for PCOS awareness month!
Milked by the Bull Shifted is a cute yet heartfelt spicy read about two people falling in love when they feel like they are in a cross roads of there life. Natalia just got left at the alter and is ready for change and to start fresh at a family cottahe left to her when her Abuela passed that surprisingly is located in Mosswood a community full of Shifters. Colton is at the height of Career as a professional football player but feel lost in his personal life since he has yet to find his mate. So taking the bull by the horns literally and figurative he decides to have a baby on his own. But fatherhood does not come easy especially when he can’t seem to keep a Nanny. But lucky for him a beautiful women who adores children and yearns for some of her own moves next door…and he realizes that Natalia might be able to feed the hungry he has for a mate and maybe his sons hungry for milk…
What I loved most about this book was the representation of Natalia a Latina in her early 30s with PCOS/PMOS. (At least that’s my headcannon) I think we need more stories where women share there struggle with fertility. And stories where there is a reverse age gap that’s realistic! Overall a great read and fav Ami Wright book I’ve read so far!

Oh I love this book. I love shifter romance and this one is sooo cute from start to finish. Along with drama and what a great plot and yummy spicy!
You have Natalia that on her wedding gets dumped, and for what. Cause she might not be able to have a family. So instead of facing her family with the truth. She was inherit a cabin by her grandma and she decides to go there for a little vacation. Until she meet the football star next store Colton and his sweet son!
Thinking she would be able to help him out cause he is helping her. Which she gets locked out of her house. Would be a good idea until. Faith takes over. Was it fated, is her whole world about to change. Ohhh you need to read it to find out. This plot is so unique and something I have never read before. From the magic that happens to help her breastfeed not her child, the bond that she starts with Colton and his son, and to so much more. I could go on and on about this book but don’t want to tell you everything. All I have to say is I will be reading the whole series fast now! The enjoyment I had reading this with my toes kicking and the aww and ooooo that stalker woman I need to kick her butt! So many emotions! But so worth it. This would be my 2nd book by this author but so many more on my TBR list

This fun shifter romance is the 3rd book in the Monsters of Mosswood series of interconnected standalones. The series could be read in any order so far, with only minor references to characters and events from the other books.
FMC Natalia gets stood up on her wedding day and runs to hide out in Mosswood at her grandmother’s old cottage. The cottage is a disaster, and she ends up staying at bull-shifter single dad MMC Colton’s house as the live-in nanny for his baby, Jayden.
This book was really fun. I felt like it was less taboo than the others in the series and more in the over-the-top genre, with bull-shifter and hucow elements. I feel like you know from the title if this book is for you or knot. It was definitely spicy, but also really sweet, with forced proximity and found family vibes.
Another fun addition to the Monsters of Mosswood series. I am looking forward to Second Chance With the Fox Shifter Next Door, with the brother from book 2, which is scheduled for release in December 2026.

Oh my goodness, this was a ride I was not expecting to go on this year :D
Our FMC Natalia gets left at the altar, and ends up running away to her late abuela's house in Mosswood. Unfortunately the house hasn't been taken care of and, after accidently locking her keys inside, she seeks the help of her neighbour.
Thankfully, her neighbour is the bull shifter Colton. He's a professional football player and father to an infant son, and is more than happy to help Natalia. Colton is an absolute sweetheart, but with his latest nanny quiting with zero notice during football season, he's in a spot of difficulty. Luckily Natalia is great with kids, thanks to her large family, and she's willing to help out.
While they did originally intend to keep things professional, it's written by Ami Wright, so we know we're in for a fun, spicy time! This is my second visit to Mosswood, and I hope I can go back again soon.
Oh, and a shout out to Colton's mum, she's awesome and I easily fell in love with her practical, no-nonsense, way of seeing things :D

I had a blast with this one. Great story. Great characters.
I went into it expecting a fun, spicy little monster romance, and that is exactly what I got. It’s cute, ridiculous in the best possible way, surprisingly sweet, kinky and spicy enough that I can confidently say I have now added bull shifter to the ever growing list of fictional creatures I apparently have no business lusting over.
The chemistry was fun, the romance was believable and I genuinely enjoyed the hell out of it. Moderate angst but not enough to destroy your will to live if you're wanting something lighter.
Was this high literature? No. Did I need it to be? Also HELL no. I came here for the bull man. I have a tbing for minotaurs and he's not exactly one, but the bull man delivered.
At this point, monster romance has absolutely ruined whatever standards I once had for fictional men. We literally be over here picking the bear, the bull, the orc, you name it. I'm a writer, too so... I'm here for it.
Human men in books are going to have to start bringing a lot more to the table with MMCs like this one. Also loved seeing Latina plus sizs rep! YES.
Fun, sexy, weird, and thoroughly entertaining.

I could barely put this down. Where do I even start... The FMC meets this man and moves in with him from day 1 in MossWood. This is after your ex left her at the altar.
the MMC is football player and single father thru a surrogate. She completes him and his son. He's barely keeping it together and it's just magic when she arrives.
She's honest to him about her relationship status and doesn't lead him on. Mad respect for that. She takes a little convincing but that's fun part. The spice was spicy and the plot was plotting.
There's backstory on both and world building from her previous books. Even the characters from the first book make a cameo as well.
Final thought this isn't what I was expecting in the best way possible. I have tried to read hucow books before and just not for me.However I trusted the process of Ami's storytelling and was well rewarded. Definitely recommend you read the first two before this. Not necessarily because it is series. The books are simply that amazing.
Lastly I received this as an arc but I'm not obligated to leave a review.

If you enjoy paranormal romance, shifters, single dads, small-town settings, instalove vibes, emotional healing and plenty of spice, this is right for you. Ami does it again with this one it is most certainly the most unique meet cute.
Natalia’s life falls apart her fiancé leaves her at the altar after she receives devastating news about her chances of having children. Needing an escape, she runs to the little cottage her abuela left her and decides that becoming an angry hermit is probably the best solution. Honestly i loved this energy and completely relatable.
Enter Colton the gorgeous and ridiculously sweet and a professional athlete a single dad and a bull shifter. Natalia is dealing with heartbreak and her family expectations and the fear that she may never get the future she dreamed of it's a lot to deal with. While Colton is struggling with fatherhood and a demanding career, and a baby who apparently has no interest in sleeping.
Their relationship was sweet and funny oh so spicy. I love a shifter romance. Colton’s relationship with his baby is so sweet.

When I tell you I squealed when I seen this book in my email, I’m not joking. I have loved every single Ami Wright book I’ve read so far.
This one is somehow kinky-er than others in the sense that lactation and ABF is very taboo in society. And while this book contains that it is not the end all be all of the story.
This is a found family, love after rejection, story and it does not lack in the story building. Colton is such a sweet, loving, all in MMC and there wasn’t anything to not like about him. Is a family man, gentle giant (with a kinky side) your type? Then Colton is your man. He’s honest, open, and so hopeful.
Natalia is very similar to Colton, she has always wanted a family, but a medial diagnosis says that’s not possible and it breaks her engagement apart, sending her fleeing to Mosswood to tend to her broken heart.
And in Ami Wright fashion, there is humor laced throughout the story that keeps it lively and not so solemn.
10/10 would recommend

Such a good and cute story!!! I adooore a reverse age gap (slight difference here: he's 26, she's 30), and don't get me started on fated mates, and even more tropes that I can't name, because: spoilers!
I enjoyed it so much! Natalia is such a strong FMC. She's heartbroken when the book starts, but she picks herself back up, and, with Colton's help, she builds herself a new life, even better than her old one!
And Colton is so dreamy!!! Like, I cannot find a single bad thing about him! He's just perfect!
And Jayden!!!!!! Adorable Jayden! I don't go out of my way to read single dad romances usually, not because I don't like babies, but because I don't like the possibility of a woman coming back into the MMC's life, but in this case, it's not a possibility, and I loved it!!!
I already knew Ami Wright, so I have to admit that I went in already knowing I was gonna love this book, and it didn't disappoint! 15/10! Will definitely re-read it to get me out of a reading slump later!!! 😍

Rating: 4 ⭐️
Spice: 3-4 🌶️
Tropes: bull shifter x human • nanny/single dad • lactation • left at the altar • forced proximity
Now let me preface this by saying, this book is about lactating - aaaaaall the lactating! Don't come running back to me or the author saying this was too much milk. It's literally right there in the title 🤣
Now, to the main event: This is a cozy, extremely low angst book. While there are some things that might seem angsty, like getting left at the altar or parental pressure, it is left very much in the background.
Front and center is green-flag Colton. A single dad that might - ok, that definitely - underestimated the requirements of single parenthood. Enter Natalia and her bosom!
Colton is able to make Natalia lactate through eeeeeh tricks(?), and it's a whole thing! Seriously... Enter spice!!
While this was a fun and very different read that I enjoyed, the 4 ⭐️ is due to the somewhat offhand dealing with the fallout from Natalia's wedding and other complications. The book's focus was on the relationship part almost to a degree that everything else felt a bit rushed.
This book is for you if you want a low angst, spicy story with lactation front and center.

I didn't think I had applied for this ARC, but I received it and of course read it because I like a lot of Ami Wright's books.
I like the single dad trope, and I appreciate that there was no conflict with the baby's mother. Actually there was no mother because Colton, the MMC, had his baby via a surrogate. Natalia, the FMC who we think is human but actually isn't, becomes the baby's nanny after being locked out of her inherited house. It was kind of wholesome in a way, with very spicy scenes.
This, unfortunately, was only a three star read for me. The writing is pretty good, and the story wasn't bad however, this isn't a my cup of tea. Lactation in any form isn't something I'm particularly interested in, nor do I care for sports romance or pregnancy in stories.
It was a fun read, cute and decently written, definitely right up the alley of those who like sports romance and lactation. Even if I didn't care for it, I recommend it for anyone interested in the above mentioned tropes.

This was another fun and engaging addition to the series and I absolutely loved Colton. He's a single dad through surrogacy, so no OW drama in here. And it sure felt like fate had a hand in bringing Natalia to his door. She gets stood up at the altar after finding out that she's likely infertile and, instead of facing her judgy family, she heads off the cottage she inherited to recover. Think stormy night, locked out, single dad neighbour needing a nanny...yep, fate set it all up beautifully ;) It also was fascinating in how Colton had a way that would help Natalia feel like a mother and his son would get the nutrition he needed to thrive since he realized she was his fated mate. This was handled in a fab way and full of consent. Expect to get caught up in the drama, emotions, some suspense, br33ding and lactation k!nks, and hot spice as follow these two wonderful characters to their fab and steamy HEA. I really enjoyed it and look forward to the next book. Good fun!

Ami has done it again—she’s got this incredible way of not just making you fall head over heels for her characters, but also igniting new, daring passions you’d never expect to find hot. I swear, watching Colton worship Natalia during her most vulnerable moments, tenderly caring for her and always seeking her permission before he made her feel truly loved—mate, it’s utterly intense. That kink, that raw, undeniable heat—plus the wild thought of her having to drink Colton’s... special milk 🥵—it hits you right in the feels.
And honestly, who could resist a vanilla ice cream-flavoured BJ? Seriously, it’s next-level hotness.
You’ll never regret picking up this book, but be warned—you’re gonna find yourself adding every one of Ami’s books to your TBR, because once you start, you won’t be able to stop.
