Declan McIver is full of surprises. He seems like a mild-mannered member of a fishing boat crew, but that is only a job he takes because he is in the Unites States illegally. When he comes upon illegal activities that the ship is involved in, he is uncomfortable. But when those activities portend something violent and puts an old friend at risk, he springs into action.

Declan quickly sheds his shipmate persona to become an undercover operative, intent on thwarting the evil forces that have come ashore to hurt or kill his friend. Surprisingly he has resources to draw on. He moves quickly and shows how his training and experience has given him the skills to succeed. It will be interesting to see what lies ahead for him in future novels.

Story line peaked interest

The story jept me reading. I was a little disappointed regarding time line. The page before said he had spent 3 weeks but 2 pages later it stayed he spent months where he was. Disappointed your proof reader didnt catch this when it was so close together. There were a few grammatical things i noticed as well but you could get the gist of what was meant.

In my OPINION this is a horrible book.

This is a stinking, lousy, rotten, miserable, crummy, really really really really BAD book.

This book is AWFUL.

This book STINKS.

This is a TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE book.

If I could give this a minus 100,000 stars, I would do it.

I quit reading at Page 58.

More to come

There was enough in this novella to hint at greater things to come from Declan. A touch of the mob, a touch of terrorists and plenty of action. Hopefully future novels will explore Declans past. Recommended.

Great Story of Defending Ethics!

Graham has created a page-turner that quickly draws readers to stay up late to find out what happens next! A bit justifiably hardcore and highly enjoyable

Quite a bit of action packed into so few pages!

Other than some minor typos, this story was well-written. Character development has been nicely done and the story moves along quickly.

A violent beginning

A short, sharp, action filled 1h30. If this is the beginning, I cannot wait to read the next in line. A superb introduction to Declan.

Pretty good. Likeable hero. Surprising amount of story and characterization in such a short format.
