Romantic Scottish weddings...

Heartthrob’s Scottish Weddings is a great pairing of second chance romances for two best friends. Kate and Evie are fashion designers that partner in an exclusive bridal boutique in NYC. Both are looking for love and a future, their goals are vastly different however. Both have known the joys of love and marriage as well as the heartbreak when it doesn’t last, one because of a divorce, the other because of death. There must be something magical in a Scottish wedding because these two are about to find more than they bargained for.

In Heart Tamer, (Heartthrob series, book 3) Kate Hayes travels to Scotland to attend her ex-sister-in-law’s wedding. She has an ulterior motive though. She has a proposition for her ex-husband, Alec MacLeod, one that has Alec shocked but totally on board. While their marriage may have ended, their love for each other never has. There might be a decade of separation between these two, but the heat is as sizzling as ever. Their tempers are fiery and the two butt heads regularly, but thankfully the years have given them both a chance to grow up and learn to deal. For such a short piece, you got a real good sense of who Katie and Alec are. Katie is going to have to come to terms with Alec’s alpha male bullheadedness. Alec definitely has to learn to deal with an independent, feisty and stubborn cuss of a woman. These two are perfect for each other.

In Heart Hunter (Heartthrob series, book 4) Evangeline Parker travels to Scotland to attend Kate and Alec’s wedding where she has been promised a date for the festivities. Cameron “Heartbreak” Hunter, whisky tycoon bad boy shows up to escort Evie to the wedding and the sparks start to fly. Evie, a widow of seven years is looking for marriage and kids, not a playboy tycoon. What could her best friend have been thinking to pair her with him? When Cameron proposes two weeks of erotic pleasure… nothing more, nothing less… Evie is shocked. She is also intrigued. When Evie discovers Cameron isn’t her intended date, she’s relieved… or is she? Things get a bit wild and out of hand. Evie learns first hand just how the paparazzi can paint a situation to their own liking. Perhaps her opinion of Cameron has been a little skewed by how he’s been portrayed. Cameron has his own set of challenges in a matrimonial pushing mother, a manipulative gold digger ex and a stern grandfather that’s had enough of the tabloids. But, when the Laird says marry or else, what’s a man to do?

Both novellas were fun and well written. The pacing was tight and quick. I really enjoyed watching these couples interact. Ms. Knightly definitely brought the heat. If you’re looking for feisty independent heroines and the men that can most assuredly keep them then look no further. This collection is a great read.

This is a collection of two short novellas from the Heart throb series, Scottish Weddings Box Set
I was excited to read these as since I live in Scotland I to love to read how non scots people write about my home.

Heart Tamed - Kate has returned to Scotland to attend a wedding, the bride just so happens to be the sister of her ex-husband Alec.
They divorced 10 years ago when he began to ignore Kate and everyone else for that matter when he was hell bent on revenge for the death of his brother.
Now that is all well and good, but the rest of the story got a bit unreal.

Kate has come back not only for the wedding but to ask him to give her a child - no be part of the upbringing but just be a sperm donor. Ok,weird much? She asks him to father a child with her - which understandably he was a little "huh?" about. But they basically rekindle for one night only and the passion is definitely there for sure, but Kate leaves for home the day after when she things Alec has yet again let her down.

Fat forward 2 weeks and he turns up at shop in America to ask for forgiveness and some story about why he went AWOL the day after their night of passion. Turns out Kate is pregnant.... after two weeks??? I am sorry...... really???

Heart Hunted - This one centres about Kate's assistant Evie and a whiskey tycoon named Cameron "Heartbreak" Hunter.
Cameron is a Bad Boy type and everything that Evie should stay away from, she has been set up by Kate on a blind date she cant think why she would set her up with a notorious playboy, but she decides to go with him.

I much pereferred this novella to Heart Tamed - the bad boy going out of his way to convince someone he isn't all he is portrayed in the media.

Both novellas are about second chances, and I really like the idea of that and the fact that they are set in Scotland.

Heart Tamer:
Sophia Knightly has done it again!! Anytime I pick up one of her books to read, I know that I will not be disappointed with it. This is a novella, so it was a quick read, but also a fulfilling read. I loved Kate and Alec's story, and could actually picture him in his kilt. They have been divorced for years, but that does not stop Kate from going to Alec to ask for a favor, a huge favor. Can Alec put aside his anger of the past to help Kate? Read the book, I promise you will not be disappointed!

What happens when you throw a handsome, sexy billionaire playboy and a feisty, sassy beautiful widow of seven years together? Then add to that mix, a meddling mother, a persistent grandfather, an ex-girlfriend with a huge attitude, and a cousin that has always been a rival, and you have book filled with romance, rivalry and fun.

If you like a feel good romance, that will having you turning the pages quickly to find out what happens next, then this book is for you. This is the fourth book in the Heartthrob series, and I cannot wait to read the next one.

Sophia Knightly is a writer that I have read consistently throughout the years. When I think of her books I see alpha male characters with tough exteriors that are tender and loving when they need to be. Falling in love with any story she writes is not that hard to do. Each story is a whirlwind of fun, emotion, and sex appeal. Her Heartthrob Series does not disappoint in that regard. Alec and Cameron are overpowering personalities but are tamed by the right women. Kate and Evangeline are strong minded women who know what they want and have no problems seeking it out. Entertaining stories with strong characters are Ms. Knightly's specialty. Heart Tamer

To say that I absolutely love this series is an understatement. Knightly continues to give us memorable characters that you can't help but root for.

This super sweet story of giving true love a second chance tugged at this jaded romantic's heartstrings. Alec and Kate went through a bitter divorce years ago and have not spoken since. The only thing that confused me was why after not speaking for years Kate would think to approach her bitter ex-husband with her request. But even that was not enough to damper my enjoyment of the story. I couldn't help but root for these two characters who so obviously deserve to be together and you will too.

Although this is not the first in the series and can obviously be read as a standalone, I would definitely suggest reading the other books in the series when you get the chance. You won't regret it.

Heart Hunter

Feisty widow meets handsome Billionaire playboy. Those two alone are a recipe for fireworks.

When Evie travels to Scotland for her friend's wedding, the last person she expects to be her date for the evening is the UK celebrity playboy Heartbreak Hunter. This whisky tycoon is fodder for tabloids just by stepping out his front door. Cameron challenges Evie to look beyond the tabloids and see the real person beneath. Evie challenges him to be better than what people expect of "Heartbreak Hunter".

In classic Knightly fashion Heart Hunter was hard to put down. I read the book in its entirety in one sitting. A great addition to the Heartthrob series

Heart Tamer is about Alec and Kate. Alec is shocked to see his ex-wife at his sister's wedding even though he knew they were friends. All of the old feelings come flooding back for both of them. They ended their marriage badly. There is so much hurt to deal with that they aren't sure forgiveness is an option. Alec is shocked when Kate has a request for him and he along with her heart wasn't going to make it easy.

Heart Hunter is the fourth book in the series and in this story we get to know more about Evie a young widow who is Kate's partner in the fashion industry and Cameron a notorious playboy who is always being caught in uncomfortable situations that are plastered all over the tabloids.
Cameron insists that he is being portrayed unjustly and wants to be seen as the responsible business man that he is in the family owned Scotch distillery. Evie is lonely since she lost her husband Michael, but she wants to stay as far away as she can from Cameron, but when sparks fly she realizes that she is falling and falling fast.
This series is full of alpha males who want to love and protect their very strong and independent women. Makes for the perfect romance.

HEART TAMER - I thought this book was well written, I loved the characters. I loved that they never stopped loving each other and no one ever replaced each other in their hearts. Very loving and Heartwarming story. Alec is hot as hell and that Scottish Brogue was toe curling, I love the wee Katie. lol. The sex was hot as hell and lit the sheets on fire, love these two together. 4 stars

Heart Hunter - I enjoyed this book , there were a few parts that I figured out how it would go but otherwise it was very loving, sexy and the characters were great! Cameron is another hot as hell Scot, with a sexy brogue and a way with women but when he meets Evie his single life goes down the drain and he couldn't be happier. Sexy as hell, fun and loving. Great story..4 stars

I loved this set of books. The stories are not quite like anything I have read before. In both of these stories the couple's come together very quickly, but here's the kicker...it's believable each time. You get carried away in the romance and picture of the whole story that you can't help but be transported right along with the characters. There is just enough angst to make each story interesting, and the bedroom scenes are nothing short of fiery. Absolutely fantastic!

I had not read any of the Heart Throb series but I will be sure to go back and read them all. These books were fantastic. Heart Tamer is a second-chance romance and Heart Hunter is a typical, good girl/bad boy romance. Both books have amazing characters. I loved the feistiness of Kate, she was able to give just as good as Alec in Heart Tamer. And in Heart Hunter, Evie was so sure of what it was she wanted and she wasn’t willing to settle. I loved the confidence of those two. Although these are Books 3 and 4 in the series, you can read them without the having read the first books. However, you’ll want to go back and read the other books, just like me! :)

I'm glad I read these books. The author writes beautifully. Her intimate scenes are romantic and well written.

The first one is the story of Katie and Alec.
Divorced for ten years this couple reunites after Alec's sisters wedding. Ready finally for their happy ever after.

The second story is one of love lost when Evie's husband dies. She doubts she'll ever find another like him. Enter Connor Hunter billionaire bad boy. Gets an ultimatum from his grandad to marry soon or he'll lose the Wiskey Distillery inheritance. These two instantly fall in love!!

I'd recommend these books and others from this author.

It was just okay. I didn't care for the characters. The first male character was arrogant and overbearing jerk. I didn't care for the way he treated his ex. He walked all over her, and she let him! Why she went back to him off still a big question in my mind. And the story want finished. Alec was looking for the guy who gave his brother tainted drugs. But after nine years the author didn't say if he found the dealer or not. The second cast of characters were some what better. But their relationship didn't seem very realistic. It felt too fast. But this is just my opinion. Read the book for yourself and you decide.

These two stories are each very short.

Kate and Alec have been divorced for quite a few years. Now, she has come to ask him for a favor. The heat they had in their marriage returns with a vengeance.

Evie and Cameron meet for the first time and there is an immediate attraction. She is a widow and he has a reputation for being a playboy.

I realize these were short stories, but I really would have liked some more plot. The characters are all interesting and entertaining but the plot seemed very limited.

Received the book for an honest review. This is the first time I've read any of Ms. Knightly's books and I was very impressesd. These are books 3 and 4 of the Heartthrob Series. They can be read as standalone or part of the series easily. Both stories are beautifully written with romance, loveable characters, great storylines and Scottsmen!! Everything a reader of romance could possibly want.
