I absolutely LOVED this novella! Sapphira agrees to be a surrogate for her best friend, Teresa. When they realize that Teresa's husband, Lyle, also has fertility problems, his twin, Logan, offers to be a donor for him. Life takes a terrible turn when Teresa and Lyle suddenly die in a car crash before the baby is born. Sapphira didn't plan on being a mother any time soon but decides to raise the child on her own. Lyle won't hear of that, wanting to be part of the baby's life. It is his child after all.

Amazingly, the author was able to express the tension between this pair in short order and then made it quite believable that they fell for each other. This is such an emotional story that I had tears in my eyes for the first half of the book. The writing was so smooth that I found it easy to get caught up in the story.

In the end this book left me smiling. Tears again but happy ones. As I said, I LOVED this story so I heartily recommend it.

Please note I won this book in a giveaway.

This is a sweet quickie with a touch of paranormal.

Logan and Sapphira are the surrogate parents (literally) to his twin and her bff's baby. When tragedy strikes, they must step up and not only become parents to a child neither intended to have but also confront the issues in their lives they've always suppressed.

This is a quick-moving story with not a lot of room for detail. This would've made a really nice saga if it were longer, but if you're short on time and looking for something sweet with that awww factor, then click it up.

Short and Sweet

The beginning of this story had me all in my feeling. Death of true loved ones is always heartbreaking, especially when it involves complex situations. I thought the author did a great job capturing the grief, and I loved the paranormal twist done to nudge the couple alone. The ending seemed a little HEA rushed, but it's a short, so that's always going to be there. Overall, this is a good, steamy short.

A simple love story

This is the first book by Shyla Colt that I have read...and will not be the last!! Sapphira and Logan's love story is simple and classic....Out of great pain can come great love.

The writing style is very easy to follow and pulls you in from the very beginning. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read.

From Tragedy to a happiness

The start to this story was very tragic and had me very emotional. It was very wretched that both Teasea and Lyle died on impact and that they both left behind people who truly loved them and would miss them forever. I'm glad that even though Logan and Sapphira wasn't looking a family yet in the end Logan and Sapphira's relationship didn't start with them having love for each other their feelings towards each other grew into love something they weren't expecting to happen. I wish it could've been a little bit longer.

What a love

Shyly Colt has done a short intense love story well. Tragedy and pain brought them closer and a love and passion so strong grew on its own. This type of tragedy usually tears families apart. They discovered being together beyond the baby was the best way to honor their family and each other.

Love Remains!

Teresa and Lyle set in motion an event that they did not live to see! Logan, the twin brother of Lyle, had no plans for a life other than the military. But, tragedy set him on another course for a fuller life with Sapphira. Love blossomed around the gift of a life that will be their connection for a lifetime! 💞

It was a good short read

I am glad that I read it. It was a nice short read. It was not what I usually like in a short story, but it was good.

Sweet

Okay this was such a special story.I just loved every minute of the story. This was a sweet sexy twist to two people being thrown together because of an accident. Now what dimmed the lights a little is the fact that some steps are missing and the ending feels extremely rushed.Overall a good short romance story.

This was a amazing book of love & loss. Five months pregnant as a serogate. Then a tragedy strikes & kills the parents to be. She turns to the baby's Dady for help. They quickly fall in love.
