Mia is beamed aboard a Reestrian warship after venturing past a roadblock near Rahatha. She fears she’s in trouble for trespassing, but soon discovers her predicament is much worse. The captain has taken her as a mating gift for his younger brother, Sekor, a Warrior Reestrian who’s experiencing his mating urge and is in desperate need of a female.
Her fascination with the aliens fades under the cold reality of not being given a choice, and though she thinks her intended, Sekor, is rather charming, she still hopes to escape. Warrior Reestrians live by their own rules and are considered savages among their kind. But the thought of being claimed by the massive, hunky alien leaves her breathless with desire, and she can’t help but wonder what it would be like to become a Warrior Reestrian’s mate.
Sekor gladly takes ownership of the little human called Mia, but her rejection confounds him. Why doesn’t she wish to mate with a powerful Reestrian who will protect her, love her, and cherish her? Just when he thinks he’s finally wooed her, she vanishes from the ship. With his mating fever burning hotter by the hour, time is running out. Even if he finds her before The Madness claims him, will he succeed in convincing her she’s destined to become his mate?
Sue Mercury writes sci-fi romance. She lives in Maryland with her husband and children, where she hopes one day she'll turn on the television to find a breaking news report about sentient alien beings contacting Earth. She also writes romance of the much kinkier variety under the name Sue Lyndon.

Me resultó bastante insulsa.
I've read every single one in this series and there is always something off. Maybe because it is so short there isn't time to fill out the characters.
I liked this Hero the most. The heroine started out good then turned irritating. At least the Hero figured out her silly dialogue. The sweetness of this story was offset by the erotic profanity used to describe their mating. If it was supposed to sound savage it just sounded crass.
I'll be just fine never reading this again. Too bad, I love sci-fi romance.
Book 5 just as interesting as the ones before. The only thing I found that could have been a little different is the books in this series is that they could have been longer. Although this length held a lot of things going on. Please take time to read. Hope there's more to come in this series
Short stories can have a lot of dimension and depth ... this story needs both. As sweet as any love story is, they still need an enticing narrative to set it apart and capture the reader. This short story fell short.
Probably my favourite of the lot, Sekor is definitely put across as a savage but he's just a teddy bear underneath and I love how he goes about securing Mia's affections after his brother kidnaps her and she objects, strenuously.
Sekor and Mia really have a different first meeting. I really enjoyed the time he took to get to know the people in her life and took into account her wishes.
Sekor was unbelievably sweet. He was my favorite I think. I've read this whole series and its a cute sweet series and I enjoy it. Wonder if there will be more? :) He was young well younger than the other characters I've read in this series. He was a virgin which *swoon*. LOL. He was kinda naive and a simple guy. He didnt want to be a warrior. Wanted a simple life and start a family. Wanted that with Mia. She was really apprehensive although she kinda fantasized what it would be like to be with a Reestrian but when placed in front of one she totally freaked. LOL. She was naive as well especially when she was led to be talked into leaving him without even talking to him first to see if what Beeva was saying was true or not. So, I think they made the best couple.
This book just does not have enough...of everything. The characters, the plot, the climax were just lacking depth. No pun intended for this rather insincere attempt at erotica. If you want a whimsical read with characters that seem shallow this is the story you will enjoy.
This book was rushed and you could tell. There was no connection between the characters. The first was good, but the follow ups leave a lot to be desired.
