Knight’s Redemption by Katie Reus
Sanctuary Falls series #3. Romantic suspense. Can be read as a stand-alone but better in series order as prior main characters are secondary in this book.
Daniela Ruiz is the daughter of a criminal family. She wants out and has been gathering evidence for years. Cormac Knight shows up in her life again after three years. He left only a note last time saying he had to leave. He broke her heart. This time he offers to help her. He has the resources now to help her disappear even though he’d rather make a life with her.
After her legal contact is brutally killed, she knows the time is now to put her father behind bars. Cormac has both the Justice system contacts and the technology to protect them from ramifications.
Can they safely get all the evidence together to put her father and his enforcer away permanently?

Cormac and his family are smart, technologically advanced, and are on the side of the law. They are not infallible which makes them all the more lovable. Plus he’s been in love with her for years and they can’t help but tease him and then get on board with the mission.
Fast moving twists, suspense and romance in those quiet moments on the run.
An autobuy author for me and top of the tbr pile read.

Gripping, seductive, intense and satisfying.

I received an early copy. I purchased a copy to keep and reread.

I enjoy Katie Reus's books. She writes a wonderful Romantic Suspense and is great at blending both elements into her plots. While watching Daniela's attempts to walk away from her family's criminal enterprise I was caught up in her struggle, her shock that it could have caused a death and her fear that she may not survive. Cormac is nothing short of wonderful and steadfast as he tries to atone for leaving three years ago. I loved seeing the whole Knight family band together to help Daniela and Cormac. Great characters and a wonderful series.

Daniela Ruiz has just experienced a horrific event. She was forced to kill a man in self-defense. On leaving the police station she comes face to face with the one man she has never been able to forget. Now he has been drawn into the web of her family's criminal activities. Dani knows she should keep him at arm's length, but her heart still wants him. And she could use the protection right now.

Three years ago, Cormac Knight was undercover for the DEA and committed a cardinal sin: He fell in love with his mark. There was nothing he could do but leave. When a chance encounter gives him a second chance, he is not going to mess it up again.

With Dani in danger, Cormac turns to his family for help and support. They all band together to keep Dani safe and being an end to her criminal family.

My thanks to the Publisher, and Author, for providing a complimentary digital Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this novel via NetGalley. This is my fair, honest and personal review. All opinions are mine alone and were not biased in any way.

I love a great second-chance romance, and this one was chef’s kiss! It was packed with tension, danger, uncertainty, sizzling chemistry, and a hero and heroine who were impossible to forget.

May be an image of coffee cup

The family dynamics kept me on edge. The thought of family being the enemy is dark enough, but Katie Reus wrote it in a way that had me not only terrified for the heroine but absolutely aghast at how cruel family could be. I loved the sparks of hope and possibility woven throughout all the uncertainty, especially when my heart was aching for her to finally find some happiness.

May be a black-and-white image

This was a fast-paced read with plenty of action, especially toward the end, along with friends and family who added so much to the story. I loved watching the heroine find her place with the hero’s group. My heart ached for her, and I desperately needed her to get the happy-ever-after she deserved. What a fantastic second-chance romance!

What made this one so interesting was the past that Cormac and Daniela had and the surprising connection they found out about.

I felt for Daniela and the life she had to live, one she wanted no part of, but was born into. I thought she was doing a good job of surviving it and finding ways to be ok with what she knew. Her running into Cormac seemed to be a slip of fate, but I loved how Cormac took advantage of that to do what he could to see/talk to her again and kinda clue her in on things. It was fun to see the two of them figure out if a real relationship could work. It was good that Daniela had Cormac and his family at her back, she needed the support as things in her life heated up. I loved the surprises that Daniela found out about her brother, it boded well for a future between them.

It was nice to see how things worked out all around. Glad that any threat Daniela was facing is gone, now she was live her life out in the open and have Cormac at her side.

Second chance done right!

Cormac and Daniela had fire from the very first page. Their banter was pure snap, crackle, pop, and I loved every minute of it.
Both of them are carrying the weight of a parent’s death, and Katie Reus handles that grief with real heart. Daniela also has a terrible father and just wants to get away from her family. Cormac’s meddling siblings, on the other hand, are hilarious. Their group chats had me laughing out loud and added so much warmth to the story.

On top of the romance, this book delivers twists, turns, and more than a few “holy crap” moments that kept me flipping pages. The chemistry, the family dynamics, and the suspense all work together beautifully.
Highly recommend for fans of second chance romance and romantic suspense . I really enjoyed these two!

I really enjoyed reading this book by Katie Reus. This is a second chance romance with Daniela and Cormac as the main characters. Cormac was an undercover DEA agent who had to leave to keep them both safe. Daniela was trying to escape from her criminal family. This book had suspense, humor, and a slow burn romance. I loved the humorous relationship between Cormac and his family. They always had each others back. The book was a joy to read.

4.5⭐️

Katie Reus does it again! If you’ve read her books before, you already know you're guaranteed a great mix of romance and suspense, and Knight's Redemption definitely doesn’t disappoint.

Honestly, my favourite part of the whole book is the Knight family. I just loved seeing how they all band together to help Cormac and Dani. Speaking of Cormac, he is seriously wonderful and so steadfast as he tries to make up for his past mistakes. Dani is such a strong character, too. She literally just had to kill a man in self-defence when she runs right into Cormac—the one guy she hasn't been able to forget for three years. She needs his help to escape her family, but she's determined to guard her heart. The chemistry is great because Cormac is equally determined to do whatever it takes to keep her safe and win her back for good.

The only reason I'm knocking off half a star is that the pacing felt a bit too fast in a couple of places, and I wish we got a tiny bit more backstory on their time apart. Still, it’s an amazing, gripping read and a solid 4.5 stars from me!

My thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read an early copy of Knight's Redemption. 😊

KNIGHT’S REDEMPTION is the third instalment in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult SANCTUARY FALLS romantic suspense series focusing on the Knight siblings. This is former DEA operative Cormac Knight aka Connor Robertson, and gallery owner Daniela Ruiz Hill’s’ story line. KNIGHT’S REDEMPTION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from omniscient third person perspectives including Daniele and Cormac KNIGHT’S REDEMPTION follows the second chance relationship between our story line couple. Several years earlier Connor Robertson walked away from the woman he loved, leaving a heart broken Daniela Ruiz wondering where everything went wrong. Fast forward to present day, Daniele’s life is spiraling out of control, and her criminally connected family is at the top of the proverbial food chain but when her friend and investigator Greg Temple is murdered, Daniele finds herself on the run with her former lover Connor Robertson, a man who is not as he presents himself to be. Connor Robertson is former DEA agent Cormac Knight, and the man who has never stopped loving our story line heroine. Daniele had been planning her escape from her questionable family but the family is taking aim at our story line heroine.

The world building focuses on the Daniele’s family’s connection to underworld crime: their control of law enforcement and abuse of power, and Corma’s extended family who have the ability to take charge when Daniele’s world begins to crumble.

The relationship between Cormac and Daniele is one of second chances, a rekindling romance betrayed by secrets and lies as Daniele struggles to forgive the man whom she still loves but Daniele has been working behind the scenes to take down her father, and Cormac’s connections to law enforcement are the perfect foil to get the job done. The $ex scenes are limited, intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and familiar secondary and supporting including the return of Cormac’s siblings and their significant others. We are introduced to Daniele’s father Alexander Hill, her brother Julian, and Julian’s second in command Logan Brown. The requisite evil has many faces.

KNIGHT’S REDEMPTION is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, greed and obsession, family and relationships, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is intriguing, dramatic and edgy; the romance is fated and seductive; the characters are desperate, determined and charismatic.

A second-chance romance for Cormac Knight, a former undercover DEA agent, in Knight’s Redemption. Years earlier, while undercover as Connor Robertson, Cormac fell for Daniella Ruiz, a woman desperate to escape her criminal family. But when he realised just how deeply Dani was falling for him - and knowing they could never have a future - he disappeared without warning, believing it was the only way to protect her. He never forgot her, though. A couple of years later, Dani has reason to visit the local sheriff’s office, where she comes face-to-face with Cormac. Hearing his real name, she quickly realises that he was law enforcement and that his relationship with her had initially been a way to get close to her family. Now, however, he may be the only person who can help her finally break free from them.

This is an engaging romantic suspense novel that combines a compelling second-chance romance with drama, unexpected twists, and plenty of tension. The chemistry between Dani and Cormac is obvious, and the spark between them is still very much alive, but can Dani really trust a man who once lied to her and, initially at least, was willing to use her as part of his job? The suspense is well handled, with several surprises along the way, particularly the revelation of a connection between their mothers that neither of them knew about. It raises the stakes and adds another layer to an already complicated situation. The pacing is strong and steady, keeping the story moving while balancing the action with quieter moments as Cormac reconnects with the woman who has always been the one for him. His efforts to earn back Dani’s trust are believable, and their rekindled relationship develops naturally. Adding another layer of tension is Dani’s persistent admirer, who clearly isn’t prepared to step aside simply because Cormac is back in her life. One of the standout aspects of this series is its strong focus on family. Cormac’s siblings once again play important supporting roles, creating a warm and believable family dynamic that adds real depth to the story. I especially enjoyed their teasing and banter, but when it matters, they are all more than willing to come together to help Cormac protect Dani.

I’ve been reading Katie Reus for a while, and her recent releases have been working particularly well for me. She does a good job of balancing the romantic suspense with the relationship development, and I like that the family relationships are given just as much attention. I’d highly recommend her books to fans of romantic suspense, particularly readers who enjoy second-chance romances, protective heroes, and close-knit families.

*Cette chronique est basée sur un NetGalley ARC en échange d'un avis neutre et honnête*

📖Genre & Tropes📖 : Suspense romance x Second chance romance x former law enforcement x toxic family x mafia plot x family secrets x spicy

PS : to the publisher and Netgalley, thank you so much for the ARC =D

*This review is based on a NetGalley ARC in exchange for a neutral and honest review*

Finally, the book featuring Cormac and his mysterious romantic past !

This was the installment I’d been eagerly awaiting, especially because I love second-chance romances but I was also a bit apprehensive, as I’m not usually a fan of the "falling in love while undercover" trope where the relationship is built on lies ...

But I shouldn't have doubted Katie Reus =D

I really enjoyed the way the two characters find their way back to each other and fall in love all over again, and I loved the dual storylines—both the drama surrounding Dani’s family and the resolution of the mystery behind Cormac’s mother’s murder (I SO didn't see some of those revelations coming !)

This book really felt like a series finale ... though I hope we get more stories set in Sanctuary Falls <3

In short: a sexy twist-filled romantic suspense novel that’s a must-read !

PS: To the publisher and NetGalley, thank you so much for the ARC =D

Knight’s Redemption was easily my favorite book in the series so far and honestly, I didn’t see that coming! I knew I was going to enjoy it because Katie Reus is one of my favorite authors, and I completely trust her to deliver, but this book was even better than I expected (and my expectations were pretty high.)

Second chance romances can be hit or miss for me, so I was intrigued by Dani and Cormac’s history but also a little nervous going in. I’m not always the biggest fan of flashbacks, but I really liked the way Katie handled them here. There were just enough glimpses into their past to show what they meant to each other without taking the focus away from the present day story.

I really felt for Daniela. Her family has controlled so many aspects of her life, and it was especially heartbreaking seeing how much her father seemed to care about keeping her under his thumb rather than actually wanting her to be happy. But Dani never felt helpless to me. She was smart, patient, and determined. She was quietly biding her time, gathering evidence, figuring out who she could trust, and trying to find a way out. I loved that about her.

And Cormac (insert heart eyes here!!!!) That man was such a sweetheart. I like all of the Knight siblings, but I honestly don’t remember noticing Cormac quite as much in the earlier books. He definitely made up for that here because he completely stole my heart. He is such a giver and a caretaker, and he was exactly the partner Daniela needed.

I also really loved getting more of the Knight family in this book. The family dynamic is one of my favorite parts of this series, and I always enjoy seeing the siblings together. We even got some closure on things involving their mom, which I really appreciated.

Overall, this one completely won me over. The romance, the suspense, the family dynamics, and especially Dani and Cormac made this my favorite Sanctuary Falls book so far. I’m officially even more excited for whatever comes next in The Sanctuary Falls Series.

There’s a reason Katie Reus is one of my go-to authors for romantic suspense. She consistently delivers quality stories with wonderfully heartfelt characters and engaging and sexy suspense. I know that when I pick up one of her books, I'd better have a lot of free time because I will not want to put it down, and this one was no exception. Knight’s Redemption is yet another winner in this author's fantastic line-up of books. It’s the next book in her all-new Sanctuary Falls series. It can be read as a standalone story, but to get the full experience of the characters and their relationships, I highly recommend reading the previous books first.

Cormac and Daniela’s story is a romantic suspense with lots of intrigue, twists, and turns. If I had to assign it a trope, it would be enemies-to-lovers, but it’s also a second-chance story as well. While Cormac doesn’t view Daniela as an enemy, she absolutely harbors a lot of hate toward him in the beginning. He understands and doesn’t hold that against her, which endeared him to me as a wonderfully compassionate and dynamic character very early on. Daniela has had to live a very compartmentalized life to survive, so moving Cormac into another “box” besides enemy isn’t easy for her. But their journey to overcome deception and lies in so many aspects of their lives makes for a very intriguing read. Along the way, we’re treated to a cast of secondary characters that has me more than anxious to read everyone’s stories. And the bonus here is we’re finally given the answers to the underlying mystery and questions that have plagued the siblings throughout the first books.

If you’re looking for a romantic suspense that sucks you in from the first page and refuses to let you go until the very last word (and beyond!), grab your copy of Knight’s Redemption today! Then make sure you have plenty of time to spare before diving in.

My favorite kind of hero is one that some might consider just this side of the morally gray line of things, but in this life we often have to blur those lines in order to protect those that need protection and that we love. I loved watching Cormac and Dani find their way back to one another and kicking metaphorical and actual butt as they managed to get through the dangers all around them and bring her family enterprise down once and for all. There were so many twists and turns as they navigated the dangers coming at them from all sides and they learned secrets that had been buried for far too long, but in the end the greatest part was that they found their love again. Cormac is the perfect broken hero, trying to find his way back to redeeming himself with the woman he hurt and proving himself to her, but also making sure that she is safe at all costs. Dani never imagined she’d see Cormac again, but when he does return she is willing to use his expertise to get free from her family and start her life over, but she doesn’t ever imagine giving her heart to him again. Thankfully they both find a way to forgive and open their hearts to love again, because while safety and security are important the one goal to strive for in life is a deep and fulfilling love to support us as we live that life. The passion that is apparent between these two, whether in the present or when we get glimpses of their past, is one of those sparks that we know will settle into a beautiful and endearing fire to burn all through their lives. I am hoping to see more of Dani and Cormac, along with all of the Knight siblings again, but if this was the end it was a beautiful one and Katie gave us everything we could have hoped for.

This is Book 3 in the Sanctuary Falls series, as interconnected standalones. You can read this book without reading Books 1 & 2, but it will be so much better if you read the books in order!! I am loving this series!! I normally don't like to pick favorites, but I think this book has to be my favorite in this series so far.. and that's saying something since I have loved each book individually... but there's something to be said about following the characters & seeing them in their "future" lives as well... 🤩🥰 This is such a fun family!!!

I really loved Cormac & Daniela's story!!! It's such a great second chance/redemption story!! I loved that they pretty much picked up where they left off, even though years had passed. I also LOVED that Cormac never got over her & didn't sleep with anyone else in those years!!!

I love the characters & they are so perfect together. I love how their story played out and the story within the story... about their 2 mothers' deaths.... I absolutely LOVED that they got to figure that out & have some sense of closure.

The book is told in 3rd person POV (which, I'll be honest, is not my favorite... but that's also how you know the book is AMAZING, when it doesn't bother you/you don't notice it!!)

I can't wait to read Book 4, Cleo's story!! :) (Cleo - leaving Thanksgiving dinner - "I'm just going to take this unopened bottle of wine for an event I have coming up, ok?!" 😀😂🤣)

Spice level: 3/5 (there is only 1 open door scene)

*romantic suspense
*second chance/redemption
*he was undercover
*she has been trying to get out from under her family
*interconnected standalone

Thank you to the author (Katie Reus), publisher (Victory Editing) & Netgalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Out of the three books in this wonderful series, Knight's Redemption is by far my favorite. Right from the start we get thrown into the kind of action and suspense that is to typical Katie and keeps you glued to your Kindle.

Daniela 'Dani' Ruiz fell hard for Cormac Knight a few years ago only to be left behind with just a lousy note saying she deserved better. Unbeknownst to her, Cormac was deeply undercover and had to break things off because it was getting dangerous and he didn't want the woman who stole his heart to get hurt. Then still part of the FBI, he was investigating her crime family but when he left the FBI, he knew he also had to leave her which left her totally heartbroken.

Fast forward 3+ years... when they meet again and Cormac finds out she's in grave danger, he swears he'll protect her even though she's not easily forgiving him for hurting her so badly. He doesn't give up though and shows her she can trust him by staying by her side, helping her wherever he can. Dani never stopped loving Cormac but she's scared he'll disappear again once she'll be safe so she keeps her feelings to herself.

I absolutely loved this book. It's a whirlwind of romance and suspense, the love between both characters is so obvious and once again the siblings make an appearance. The family dynamic is so strong, if one of them is in danger or is in need of help, they all turn up, no questions asked.

Knight's Redemption is the third in the series and fortunately not the last. I'm already looking forward to what Katie's got in store for the Knight family next.

Daniela wants no part of her crime soaked family, so much so that she changed her name. She can't cut all ties with them though, it just wouldn't be safe to go up against her father like that. Her brother would give her wiggle room but dear old Dad? Nope! Then she has the unwanted attention of her brothers right hand man. He's taking liberties and getting very possessive.

A chance encounter with a former flame leaves her reeling. Connor broke her heart once, she can't allow him to do it again. Only he's seems to be Cormac now? Was he a liar as well as a heartbreaker?

Cormac didn't mean to fall for Daniela whilst undercover but he did and he could only leave her behind. But he's no longer part of law enforcement but he knows the danger she is still in. He inserts herself back into her life, just to keep her safe, to keep away unwanted attention. But all those pesky feelings only hid away, they never really left him and now they are surging forward once more!

I loved learning more about Cormac and Dani. They can both deny what they want but we can see the attraction still there, the intense chemistry. As the story unfolds we learn that more than a shared romantic history ties them together and parts of their life can fill in the blanks of the other.

Cormac and his family are on the side of the law but they aren't above circumventing a few rules to ensure the bad guys get justice. All the siblings have a brilliant relationship and the banter and insults fly with them. I really enjoyed the way the suspense wove around a few possible suspects, each with a motive to keep Dani quiet.

I cannot wait to see what happens next.

One thing I know for sure is that I don’t want this series to end! The close-knit, loving and loyal characters and a story filled with romance, suspense and a touch of humor has made this one of my favorite series by one of my favorite authors. Cormac Knight met and fell in love with Daniela Ruiz several years ago. When he worried that his past could harm her, he left. He knows that Daniela has her own successful art gallery, but he had no idea that her father was using her gallery to launder his illegal funds. When her contact is late for a meeting, she must save herself from an unexpected threat. When he learns that she is working with someone to bring down her father and identify other corrupt individuals, he knows that he must protect her. She hopes that with assistance from Cormac, and his family, she will finally be able to finally get safely way. Her brother has been trying to protect her from the attentions of one of her father’s crew, and now she fears for his safety. The attraction between them is even stronger now than it was before as they finally give in to their attraction. As Cormac and his brothers develop a plan to take down the thugs who are threatening her, will their plan put her father in jail while taking down his corrupt operation? Learning that their deceased mothers were once friends, will she finally find out what really happened to her mother so many years ago? I just love these Knights, what a wonderful set of siblings, and Cormac’s story is just as riveting as his brothers’ stories. While working under cover 3 years previously Cormac only went and fell in love with the daughter of the organised crime lord he was investigating. When he left the FBI he also left Daniela behind, heart broken, with no explanation. Now 3 years later Daniela’s trying to get out from her father’s cruel mistreatment, and in the process she catches the eye of one of her family’s enemies, and that’s when Cormac comes back into her life. Cormac has always loved Daniela and everything he’s done, he’s done to protect her, but she’s not going to forgive him easily - if at all. A fast paced action romance with a heroine worthy of the name. She’s strong, maybe a little bit mushy on the inside, but she doesn’t suffer fools gladly. She’s very good at keeping her wits about her and she knows how to hide her feelings (not always a good thing). Cormac though is not going to give up easily, he’s all in, he just needs to get rid of all the bad guys chasing her first. With the help of his siblings that is completely doable. I was hooked from the get-go. Highly entertaining, at times sweet, and at times a little brutal and savage. I loved the banter between the siblings, it definitely brought a smile to my face. A full five stars from me. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

Thank you, Net Galley, for this ARC. I loved Berkley and Micah's books and was excited to get another Knight sibling book. In this book, we follow Cormac and Daniela. Cormac previously worked undercover for the DEA and fell for Daniela. Unfortunately, her safety was threatened, and Cormac had to leave her without any notice. Fast forward to the present, Daniela returns and once again is in danger due to her family. Cormac wants to protect her at all costs and show her that he truly loved her. As Cormac and Daniela work together, old feelings spark, family secrets are revealed, and Cormac has to decide if love is worth the risk. This was an easy and fun read. The writing as always is fast paced, action packed, and engaging. To me the strongest part of this story was seeing all the Knight siblings again. I feel the family dynamics between them is the heart and soul of these books. They have an organic and relatable bond filled with lots of love, good banter and teasing. I love how loyal and ride or die the Knight siblings are. No matter how high the stakes or high the danger level is, they show up and protect one another. While I liked Daniela and Cormac, I didn't feel as connected to their romance as I did with Berkley and Nick or Micah and Clover. I think I wanted more angst/tension to keep me hooked and invested in their romance. Overall, this was an enjoyable read and I can't wait to see what this author writes next.

Reus has written a fast-paced romance with a feisty heroine and a dashing hero. I am enjoying the Knight family and all their adventures. The banter and love between the siblings are the underlying theme which makes you buy into these stories. No matter the danger, right or wrong the siblings are always there for each other. I highly recommend this series and book or anything else that Reus writes. Sit back and enjoy the ride.
Three years earlier Cormac worked undercover for the DEA, and he met and fell in love with Daniela, whose family is part of a crime syndicate, especially her father. Cormac had to leave to keep Daniela safe and just left her note declaring his love but that he had to leave, Fast forward to the present Cormac bumps into Daniela as she is leaving a police station after having some trouble at diner. He decides to follow her and have an honest discussion with her about what happened three years ago and why he did what he had to do. When they are face to face both still feel the heat that they had for each other. This time Cormac is going to stay and help her escape her family and be able to live a normal life. This is when things really start to move and in both the suspense and romance. Thank you to NetGalley and Kindle for an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.

would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this book

daniela life just wasnt her own.... she had tried to distance herself from her family but her dad for whatever reason just kept pulling her back into his circle that he was a dangerous man and ran rings around everybody wasnt unknown to everyone

but she had a plan and she was keeping an account so that one day she could hand it over to the fbi and then she could escape and live her life as she had wanted......

cormac knew daniela and had fallen for her big time though and this was the worst bit he had been undercover at the time and there was nothing he could do but leave her when he had to disappear and he had never gotten over her...

so the day they walked into each others lives again at the police station wasnt planned...

daniela was there because she had shot someone in self defence he was there to meet his sister .... both of them shocked to see each other

could cormac try to reason with dianela to not give away his identity and that of his sister....

and could daniela get over the shock of seeing cormac again

gripping stuff this 3rd book in the series.... and it was great to catch up with the other characters in this book... i love how they all come together for each other .... great stuff

Cormac is shocked to see Daniela standing in front of him. He met her when he was undercover, but circumstances forced him to leave her behind. His feelings for her never faded, though.

Daniela knew him as Connor. She still carries the hurt he caused when he left. Having just escaped the man who came to kill her, she has bigger problems than Connor deal with. When Cormac finds out, his protective instincts go into overdrive. He's not about to let her face danger on her own. And he isn't about to let her go again.

This book jumps into the action without delay The tension is high. As it ramps up, so does the heat. Cormac and Daniela are both strong personalities. Daniela has to be to deal with her family. But she's also softening to Cormac. He's confident enough to let her take the lead.
One of the things I really enjoy in reading Ms. Reus' stories is her inclusion of the bonds of family. Sometimes the family you make, but in this story the bonds of blood. The siblings argue, they tease, and, above all else, they support each other. And those bonds are an undercurrent throughout the story

Ms. Reus has crafted a story of suspense, full of surprising twists, a bit of sibling discord and, as always, lots of heat you won't want to put down.

Thank you to the author for a copy of this story. The thoughts and opinions are my own.

Finally Cormac’s story! This family has drawn me in from the first book and has kept me enraptured in their lives ever since. They are so supportive of each other and are willing to do whatever it takes in all things. The danger and suspense, the laughs and the love all keep you coming back for more.

Cormac and Daniela’s story is amazing from beginning to end, and it kept me completely entertained and engaged. The intense moments had me on the edge of my seat as the sweet moments had me swooning.

Having met while he was undercover, the truth of who he is really hurts Daniela and she wonders if any of their time together was real. Cormac is a man who is very in touch with his feelings though and is able to express himself well enough to chop through the icy shield she puts up. The love is clearly still there as is the chemistry and attraction, and moving forward seems like it could be possible. But her family is still a huge problem and very dangerous.
They can get through this with the help of his family, and a surprise helper at the end, and now for their much deserved HEA.
Loved it!!

I really enjoyed this book! I’ve read the previous books in the Sanctuary Falls series, which helped to know some background on the other characters / family members, but this could also be read as a stand alone.

I thought Cormac and Daniela’s rekindled relationship was both sweet and intense - I loved how easily they slipped back into their roles and feelings for each other, even if they were unsure how it was going to turn out. Cormac was so very protective of her, and I enjoyed how supportive his brothers and sisters were of both him and Daniela by extension. The Knight siblings are also really good at teasing each other and some of their conversations were pretty funny! I also appreciated the suspense aspect of this book - the characters really worked together to try and figure things out - the plot lines were interesting and kept me engaged throughout.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the free advanced copy - this is my honest and voluntary review.

Cormac and Daniela had a past, a relationship built on lies and half truths where real feelings were involved, needless to say it didn’t end well for either of them. Daniela is trying to out run her family and a series of events has Cormac and Daniela crossing paths once again. Cormac only wants to offer his assistance to ensure her safety, but his family knows better. Daniela isn’t exactly keen on the idea of ‘Connor’s’ help, at least that’s what she tells herself. Cormac easily slips back into his old cover and soon he’s keeping Daniela very close, but someone out there isn’t happy with the arrangement. As the two reacquaint themselves, the drama swirls around them, and a surprising twist you don’t except is uncovered. The ever present danger simmering finally boils over and the consequences are dire, especially for Daniela. Katie has offered up a second chance romantic suspense at its best in this 3rd book of the series. Thanks to NetGalley and the author for the opportunity to read and review her work.

We finally get to know what Cormac Knight has been keeping to himself since he left working undercover. Cormac fell for Daniella Ruiz during an investigation. The job ended and his relationship with her needed to end too. Dani had no idea that Conner the man she fell in love with wasn't really who she thought she was until a twist of fate happens and years after he disappeared, he reappears in a police parking lot before her eyes. She has no desire to get involved with him but has a lot of questions and the first one is why is another woman calling him Cormac? Dani's family is trouble with a capital T and the least Cormac can do is try and help her out when her life may be in danger. He's never gotten over her and knows that she's never forgive him for his deception in the past but at least he can make amends. Knight's Redemption is a great romantic suspense story. It stands alone in the series but to be best enjoyed, I recommend reading the series in order. It was told from dual POV and there's plenty of action, twists, laughter and heat!

Knight's Redemption is the third book in the Sanctuary Falls series; each book is about one of the Knight family members. This book is about Cormac, who met Daniela while doing undercover work. He left her behind with no explanation, but they have a second chance as they come together to help Daniela escape her family's criminal lifestyle.

The characters are well-written and relatable; readers will root for them to find a way to make things work this time around. The author does a good job at blending the romance and the suspense; neither overshadows the other.

It's also nice to see the way the Knight family bands together to help one of their own again, and I'm looking forward to seeing what's next for the series. If you haven't read the previous books in the series, you can read this as a standalone, although I do recommend reading the others because they're all good. If you enjoy second chance romances mixed with suspense, this would be a book for you.

Knight's Redemption grabs your attention from the opening. We get a hint of something hidden in Cormac's past from the previous book, and when all the pieces finally fall into place, it all makes sense.

The audacity of Cormac making himself at home while taking care of Daniela had me annoyed and laughing at the same time. I absolutely felt Daniela's anger towards him for his role in her past. Their chemistry hums constantly despite their denial, making it impossible to ignore.

Cormac's siblings bring laughter, banter, support, and loyalty that give him strength. Daniela's fight against her family comes with so much drama, keeping you completely invested. Julian turned out to be a pleasant surprise in the mix.

Brutal murders, trying to survive family, and a love story doing its best to grab a second chance, all wrapped up with family secrets, will keep you entertained from start to finish.

Out of the first three books in this fantastic series, Knight’s Redemption is by far my favorite. Katie Reus hits you with non-stop action and suspense right from page one, keeping you absolutely glued to your Kindle.

Years ago, Daniela "Dani" Ruiz fell hard for Cormac Knight, only to be left with a lousy breakup note. What she didn't know was that Cormac was an undercover FBI agent investigating her crime lord father, and he walked away to keep her safe. Fast forward three-plus years: Dani is trying to escape her family’s cruel shadow, stumbles straight into danger, and Cormac steps right back into her life to protect her.

Dani is a fantastic heroine—strong, quick-witted, and unwilling to hand over forgiveness easily. Cormac, on the other hand, is completely "all in" and determined to win back her trust while keeping her alive.

A riveting, whirlwind read from start to finish. I can’t wait to see what Katie has in store for the rest of the Knight family!

Knight's Redemption wraps up the Sanctuary Falls trilogy in a really nice way! Specifically saying *how* it does that would be verging into spoiler territory so I'll just say that two plotlines come together in a way that ties off any loose threads. Although it can be read as a standalone, I think it probably is worth reading the previous two books because the rest of the Knight family do appear in this third book as more than just simple cameos.

I think with this particular storyline, I would liked more angst between the main characters based on how Cormac left Daniela previously, and I definitely would have loved more groveling before he was forgiven. But it was fast paced and covered a lot of ground in its 300 pages!
