It's a Miracle
The hero mother was actually, gasp, nice!. She even.liked the heroine. She was awesome. It was quite disconcerting. I really enjoyed there relationship. And honestly he wasn't that bad either. He had a moment of doubt when he was confronted with the evidence that she had embezzled money. But he was also thinking it couldn't be true. It just took him longer to figure out who'd done it. Even after he got the evidence. It was quite sad too. But it actually felt like a romance and it did have an HEA.

ugh
I have read a lot of these stories not going to lie but this MMC was not redeemable in my eyes at all. Seriously he was a complete and utter POS I can see you being emotionally stunted but the OW drama nope couldn’t not forgive him for any of it. He knew his wife was upset and yet he did it all anyway. Knowing she was drifting. Then he repeatedly said he believed the OW over his own wife. I did not root for him and the FMC was ridiculous. Sorry no real grovel and she just takes him right back after he comes back. She had no real backbone at all. Should have been a longer separation. I mean he didn’t even fire Kelly after he found out he had to wait 2 weeks after when HIS mother got the proof he didn’t even do it himself. He didn’t put the work in to clear his wife’s name. Her MIL. Just awful.
This book made me so mad 😡 he was a spineless coward she deserved so much better even though she was a doormat.

A non cheating HEA
Alright Hubby is a business man whom doesn't express emotions. Yvonne is his wife of 3 years whom feels it was just a merger marriage. Things are getting better and then a former girl friend arrives and Mr. Constipated Feelings wants to help his friend and be with his wife. It fails.
The story is kinda fast paced. Kelly could have been worse but she wasn't good either.

In case you forget this man saved all the knowledge of his wife. Every little detail since he met her but doesn’t use any of it their entire relationship. He waits for this conniving brat to break it up before being like oh maybe I should do something. Maybe I should pay attention to my wife. Maybe I should put effort into this relationship. Maybe work shouldn’t come before the love of my life. Maybe my wife didn’t embezzle money from her own company and this random girl who I haven’t seen in forever…is not completely trustworthy. I’ll be honest most of the men in these stories are hopeless and get off way too easy. 9/10 the female is sexually frustrated from pregnancy hormones and caves first. While telling the man “this doesn’t mean I forgive you for ignoring me and picking a childhood friend over me” Even though that’s almost always the moment the MMC is forgiven.
Another note to these stories. The female always finds out they are pregnant right before the breakup or immediately after. So then she hides it from her husband. While the baby becomes almost a bribery. This particular story was interesting to say the least. Since the other woman was a bit of a psycho and way too obsessed with the FMC. I also love how everything just falls into place no matter what. Mom ignores her daughter most of her life and treats her like a doll. Mom miraculously changes at the end and sees the error of her ways. FMC gets everything she’s ever wanted and all is forgiven. MMC doesn’t care about work anymore and his life revolves around this wife and child. The end. 💀
Do these stories make any sense? No not really. Is it the same plot just rinsed and repeated? Yep. Is the MMC an idiot 99% of the time? Yes. Will I continue to devour these lots in the hopes one will surprise me? Absolutely.

He has hired a childhood friend Kelly as his assistant. Yvonne finds out from her friend, not Logan. He only hired her because her family lost everything. He plans to tell her that as well. Kelly always followed Logan around and everyone assumed they’d marry. When he did marry she took it bad.
He misses dinner cleaning up a mess Kelly made. Time got away from his and Yvonne sat at the restaurant 40 minutes. She’s still waiting on him to tell her about Kelly.
Kelly supposedly finds large sums of money missing from the company. Tells Logan they will figure it out just the two of them. They spend many late nights together. Yvonne sleeps in the guest room.
Yvonne spends days planning the charity silent auction. Logan walk in 45 minutes late with Kelly on his arm. Twice Kelly corners Yvonne and drops the sweet act. She wants Logan.
Kelly calls an executive board meeting and claims Yvonne’s credentials were used to steal the money. Yvonne is cofounder on the company but stepped back years ago. Logan thinks he’s getting her out of the line of fire so he can research and agrees. The last of Yvonne’s hope for her marriage dies. She tells the board she’s leaving of her own decision and she will find who really did this.
She moves hours away and Kelly goes bunny boiler.

He has to ask her to stay away from the business while an audit is being done. The person who has set her up grew up with the husband. Until her innocence or guilt is confirmed her life is in chaos.

Very Well Written
I really enjoyed reading this book . The FMC was not weak and accepting, from the get go her strength stood . A first having an angel for a MIL . The humor, sarcasm and adulting was refreshing.

It’s a great story and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I love stories with there’s actually no real cheating just other woman drama. I like that this man fought hard to win his wife back and just kept showing up and being what she and their daughter needed.
