Mechanic's Christmas Match: Trinity Falls Sweet Romance - Village Christmas - Book 2

Rate this book
What happens when a lonely mechanic falls for the matchmaker trying to brighten his Christmas?

Rory Dunn moved to Trinity Falls last year for a fresh start, close to the only family he has. After years of fixing up motorcycles while trying to dodge a gang in the city, he’s relieved to have a good job at a repair shop in a tight-knit small town where everyone knows his name.

The only problem he can’t seem to solve is the way he feels about Ana Gutierrez, the owner of the local dress shop. Rory’s heart aches every time he catches sight of Ana. But she has a busy life she shares with her mother and the three-year-old nephew she adopted last winter.

Besides, with his unhappy past, Rory isn’t sure he’s worthy of being her man.

So, when Ana tries to set him up with a friend, Rory decides to go along with it. After all, it’s an excuse to spend more time with Ana and her family. And besides, the woman Ana has in mind won’t actually fall for him—he’ll make sure of that.

But as the holiday season kicks into gear, Rory, Ana, and adorable Theo start to spend more time together, and Rory starts to wonder if he can keep his feelings to himself. Especially when just about everyone in town seems to have big opinions about who this mechanic’s Christmas match should really be.

Mechanic's Christmas Match is a sweet, heartwarming story.

Rory is the new mechanic in town, Ana is the owner of a boutique. They easily connect and a nice friendship blooms, but they think they are not right for each other. Will they stop finding excuses to stay away and open up with each other?

I loved Rory and Ana but they annoyed me a little. They were perfect together from the start, but the first can't see his self worth, and the other thinks she can't open her heart to more people. For me they are two gentle and selfless persons that deserve all the love and the happiness in the world, and I was so glad when they finally understand it.

I praise Clara Pines work, she once again put all her heart into this story and this charaters, her writing brought me so much warmth and comfort.

We are back in Trinity Falls with another sweet, touching, clean romance that will surely touch your hearts.
This one belongs to two characters we’ve met before. Ana Gutierrez, co-owner with her mom of the unique clothing store in town and mechanic Rory Dunn, whose sister Evangeline recently married Grayson.
These two have had an eye for each other, but Ana is busy with the little boy she’s taken in when her cousin passes away and she feels she needs to dedicate her time to him and the business and Rory has had a tough past. One he’s determined to overcome.
When Ana believes Rory is interested her friend, she is determined to match them up, even if it breaks her heart. Meanwhile Rory feels that by doing so , Ana is not interested in him.
Seeing these trying to make the other happy when they really were doing the opposing, was at times heartbreaking and at others heartwarming .
Theo, the little boy was delightful, and Ana’s mother, a sweet and determined woman wanting only happiness for her daughter.
Will they all be able to realize that their love is real and worth the work it might entail?
Looking forward to what else the author has in store for us in the next book.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Rory recently moved to Trinity Falls to be closer to his sister. They were raised by they grandfather until he passed away. Rory ended up taking care of her so she can have a better life, while he quit school, worked to fix anything he can get his hands on and put a roof over their heads and food on the table. He loved doing it but ended up doing odd mechanic jobs for a motorcycle gang in neighborhood who threatened his sister if he didn’t. What could he do? He finally broke free from them, where he was able to go and get his mechanic certificate, and now he loves his job in Trinity Falls. His friend, Ana had a rough year when her cousin passed away and ended up being guardian for her cousin’s three year old little boy. With the help of her mother, they take care of him, and run their own clothing boutique. It was always Ana and her mother, since her father passed away years ago. She loves having the little boy with them. He’s a joy and finally starting to settle in and having less meltdowns. Ana and Rory friendship is blooming. Rory loved Ana since the first time he laid eyes on her. Ana thinks he likes someone else so she tries matchmaking for him even though it hurts her feelings. She just wants to see Rory happy, even if it’s not her. Ana has a lot on her plate. The three of them, Ana, her mother and her little boy is a package deal. Who would want that package deal? Rory goes along with the matchmaking because he thinks she doesn’t like him. So many misunderstandings. Will the two finally figure it out. Will Rory tell Ana that it’s always been her? Rory really doesn’t think he’s good enough, because of his past but he does want to be and do better for her. The characters are wonderful. I loved how they all have each other’s back. How Rory loves Ana, and knows they are a package. It’s a sweet, quick, feel good read. I didn’t want to put it down. Christmas Magic and Christmas Miracles. What’s not to love? Clara Pines is a great author. She makes you feel like you’re in the story with the characters and how you feel everything they feel. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily.

This is the next book in the Trinity Falls Sweet Romance series and it is just that sweet. I love how her books also include everyday ordinary people who have their trials and problems of their own. But also show that it is never too late to fall in love if you find the right person.

We were introduced to Rory when his sister Evangaline had found love in the same town. Rory’s life hadn’t been the best and that included being arrested, but he overcame it all and was things were finally looking up. He loved the town, his job and the people around him. Especially Ana who had caught his eye awhile ago, but he was so worried about what he had done wrong, he never imagined that she would go for a guy like him.

Ana and her mother, Mari, own and operate the dress shop in town. Recently she had a new man in her life, 3 year old Theo, who was taking up every spare minute she had. So romance was the farthest thing from her mind. But one day when Rory came to her rescue when her car broke down, she did wonder if it was possible.

Both had questions, both had doubts, but over time romance blossomed between the two of them, something they each deserved.

Thanks to 1852 Media and the author for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I loved reading Rory and Ana’s story!

This book warmed my heart so many times; I lost count. I’ve been waiting for Rory’s story since his sister, Evangeline, found her HEA in Trinity Falls, and I’m so relieved that he has found someone who sees him for who he really is. Rory is a mechanic, new to Trinity Falls, and Ana, the dress shop owner, has made quite an impression on him.

I loved their journey and watching their relationship grow from friendship into something deeper. I had to chuckle at some of the miscommunication between them, but my favorite moments were Rory’s interactions with Ana’s “nephew,” Theo. His gentle guidance with Theo was especially touching and stayed with me long after I finished the book.

This town continues to be the place I want to live, and as I get to know each of these new people, they feel more and more like friends. I’m already looking forward to Valerie’s story next!

Full of emotion and wonderful characters this book was just so beautifully written and also very emotional at times. My heart broke for Ana and Rory and their story of miscommunication which led to both of them almost missing out on a love that would always stand the test of time. This series is so heartwarming and always leaves you with a smile on your face and love in your soul. Neither Rory or Ana had an easy life but they have both forged their way in making a future for themselves and have always put their respective families first and even if that meant sacrificing their chance at happiness they would gladly do it but when they finally realised that they were both infatuated with each other that’s when it all fell into place. Clara Pines certainly knows how to write a story of love, faith and devotion and every time we revisit Trinity Falls you just want to jump into this place and live there forever with all these amazing characters.

Mechanic's Christmas Match is Ana, her adopted son Theo and Rory’s heartwarming story. It’s book two in the Trinity Falls Sweet Romance, Village Christmas Series and I loved everything about this story.
When Ana and Theo break down its local mechanic Rory who comes to her rescue, knowing that’s things are tight for the pair he works on her car free of charge and a friendship forms. So what happens when feelings come into play, will Ana take a chance and risk her and Theo’s hearts…….
This is a beautifully written, heartwarming, slow burn that captured my heart. I fell hard and fast for Rory, I want Ana as my new buddy but it was an adorable preschooler named Theo who stole my heart and the show. This is a magical read that drew me in and didn’t let me go but more importantly it left me smiling.

Mechanic's Christmas Match: Trinity Falls Sweet Romance - Village Christmas - Book 2
I am always ready to suggest reading any of Ms Pines books. They are easy to read, realistic and clean romantic books. This one ( Mechanic’s Christmas Match) is one more that I read in 2 sessions. It held my interest while the story had its own twists. I always want the story to continue as I meet each of the characters who live in Trinity Falls and how their lives are connected. You will enjoy this one too as you begin to know Ana, Rory, Mari, and Ana’s nephew Theo. Theo’s character makes you want to hug him and listen to his prsechool chatter. It is a very heart warming story of romance, love and character coming out of hard times. Mari reminded me of my own grandmother. We all can relate to that!

The town folks of Trinity Falls at this point feel like they are my friends. I have met Rory and Ana in previous stories, both have been giving each other shy looks. Rory is more outgoing and has engaged Ana in conversations at various times. Ana likes the big friendly guy, but she now is guardian of her 3 year old Theo. Plus her mother who is like her best friend and co-owner of their dress shop leaves her no time for romance. Of course what she thinks and what her heart desires doesn’t quite agree. With miscommunication and some low self confidence Rory finds himself dating the wrong woman. A challenge that Rory has decided rectifying is worth chancing for their HEA.
Thank you #ClaraPines for this ARC, all opinions expressed are truly my own.

Misunderstandings and Holiday Magic

What a delightful, heartwarming storyline Clara Pines has crafted with Rory and Ana’s journey. Rory has recently moved to town to be near his younger sister following their grandfather's passing, and upon meeting Ana, he is immediately determined to become a better man for her. Meanwhile, Ana is eager to get to know Rory better, but her responsibilities, running the family clothing shop with her mother and caring for her three-year-old ward Theo, leave her with little time.

When miscommunication leads Ana to believe Rory is simply lonely, she sets out to find him a match, all while secretly wishing it were her. Watching these two navigate their crossed signals to finally claim what they want makes for a fabulous read.

This was such a sweet and cute and utterly wonderful book. I couldn’t help but falling in love with the scenery and the story. But most importantly I fell hard and fast for the characters. They were so easy to connect with. They are so realistic and feel like people you could run into in your hometown. Rory and Ana were incredible together. The way Rory stands beside and helps Ana at every turn melted my heart. And the way she didn’t see him as just his past was so endearing. Their connection was so genuine and you could feel the love coming off the page in waves. Their bond was one that felt inevitable and undeniable. Seeing friendship blossom into more will make your heart swell. And the ending will leave you with a smile on your face and a sense of genuine care in your heart.

I read this book with so many tears in my eyes but believe me they were all happy tears. The love just pours off of these pages. I think this book is my all time favorite. This book was like coming home again because you get to revisit some old friends that have become like family. There is a part about a coat that just made my heart sing and a whole lot of happy tears flowed. There is another moment about a Christmas gift that had the same affect on me. I don’t want to give anything away so that is all that I am going to say about those parts. I honestly don’t know how Clara Pines comes up with all of these stories but they are absolutely amazing every one of them. My heart is going to be so happy for quite a while after this book. I love when that happens. I can go on and on about how great this book is but you really need to read it yourself, trust me you won’t be disappointed. I have been so blessed by Clara Pines books that I just want to share her with everyone. “I received ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.”

As soon as he saw Ana, Rory was totally taken by her beauty and sweet manner, but he had a shady past and wanted to make himself worthy of her attention. Ana thinks he is interested in her friend, Maggie, so she sets him up for a date with her. Ana's heart is breaking because she is so drawn to Rory herself. Her problem is that she has taken a little boy to raise after his mom passed away and doesn't think any man would be interested in a ready-made family that also includes her mom.
Clara Pines makes her characters come alive for you and Trinity Falls is a place that anyone would love to live.
Thank you for allowing me to read an ARC.

We are back in Trinity Falls for another wonderful story. Rory has moved to Trinity Falls and is slowly rebuilding his life. He has a good steady job, an apartment and is trying to learn to trust in himself again. Ana runs a little dressmaker shop with her Mother. Ana is raising her nephew and learning to adjust to her new norm. Rory and Ana are friends that both wish for more but neither feel ready given their circumstances. When Ana decides to play matchmaker what happens is a story you don’t want to miss. There is laughter, a few tears, as well as great friends, and family to help them along their journey. Clara Pines writes a heartfelt story that you won’t want to end. 5+stars.

Sweet addition to the Trinity Falls series by Clara Pines.
Ana is raising her cousin’s son, Theo with the help of her mom.
Rory is fairly new to town but isn’t sure Ana will ever give a relationship with him a chance. He’s had a rough time recently but has it together now.
Unexpected feeling arrive when she tries to play matchmaker for Rory and a school teacher friend.

Mechanics Christmas Match

Rory and Ana are each searching for a secure and happy future. How do you accept that a friend is actually someone you’re attracted to? Ana fears Rory doesn’t want a ready made family. Rory thinks Ana sees him as someone without anything to offer. Can they open up their hearts and communicate with honesty?

I read this book as an ARC.

Ana who owns a small clothing store with her mother & has adopted her cousin’s son Theo. She has a huge crush on Rory. Rory is the local hunky mechanic who has a crush on Ana. He is afraid his past makes him not good enough for Ana. She thinks her life is to much for him. After a blunder with matchmaking they came to their senses. They get their time to shine.

I loved Ana and Rory's story! Both of them have feelings for each other, but misunderstandings cause Ana to try to fix him up with another woman. This made Rory think she was not interested in him. Ana's mother is determined to make sure Ana is happy. Will they be able to finally recognize their feelings for each other and make a life together? Thank you Clara for another great book!

I love the books by Clara Pines, whether from this series or her other series. Gentle romance for all ages, warm friendships and family and small town living. A mechanic and a seamstress are featured in this story and the misses they make in their journey. Fun in a warm hug. Bravo!

another super addition to the series!

Jan not Rick (shared account). Such a pleasure to read a wintry/Christmas-themed story when it’s 104 degrees day after day in San Diego CA! Once again, Clara Pines has captured that special essence of Trinity Falls: faith, family, friends - they once again combine to ensure a happily ever after for very deserving people.

Rory and Ana have attraction and interest towards each other, as well as misinterpretation of each other’s words and actions. Ana’s solution is to play matchmaker with Rory and a friend. At times, it feels like a comedy. Everyone else around sees the truth of their feelings for each other. Enjoy the twists and turns to what is happening in their hearts.

Mechanic's Christmas Match is a heart warming read. Back in Trinity Falls this is book 2 and Ana's book. Ana runs the clothing store with her mom and is help raising her cousins son Theo. She thinks she does not have time for anything but family, work and her small circle of friends. Rory is new in town and works as a mechanic. He is a sweetheart and has a crush on Ana. He is not very good at flirting. As Ana tries to avoid him he gets put in the friend zone. Rory is patient when it comws to Ana. He is amazing with Theo. You feel the love slowly grow between Rory and Ana as they spend more time together. I could not put this down. I love being in Trinity Falls. Ana and Rory are so sweet together. This book features Rory, who is a mechanic and has a tender heart that loves to help anyone in need. Ana & her mom design and sew beautiful clothing, in their successful shop. They live in an apartment above the shop. Recently, Ana adopted her cousin's 3 yr old son after she died. Theo is a sensitive boy, but as cute as can be. Ana feels her life is full - with work, and caring for her mom and son. She doesn't feel that anyone would want to marry the three of them. But Rory is different. Ana can't see that, and tries to match him up with someone else. It takes a few people to convince Ana of how she's wrong, and for Rory to realize he's enough. These books are always good with the strong family & friend ties.
