Legion Varus was promised a garrison rotation. Six months of easy duty on a quiet, compliant world where nobody has broken a rule in years.Halfway there, something clamps onto Scorpio's hull and drills a hole into her guts. It isn't trying to destroy her. It's a needle, and the ship has just been injected. Within hours the air is turning the crew into something else, the revival machines are printing monsters, and the sealed cargo hold nobody told the legion about—containing a thousand of Earth's combat robots—wakes up with a fresh evil behind every red eye.
Centurion James McGill has a solution, the way he always does. You can't shoot air. So, he opens the ship to space and kills everyone aboard. To find out what happens next, read SPAWN WORLD, the latest action-packed entry in B.V. Larson's bestselling Undying Mercenaries series.
I grew up working in the library in high school. Just so that I got access after all the books I wanted to read. Robert Heinlein , Lester Del Rey, Robert Silverberg all of them. I can tell you all of these stories in the undying mercenary series are right along with all of those high class writers. I’ve had to reread the whole set three times because I can’t get the books fast enough. Not too many people can keep my attention that long. And there’s enough mystery on each book so that you never get lost or bored.
McGill can’t help himself. Food, drinking, women, then fishing if he has time. He and his parents are watching his grandchild. Things go awry as usual. Central is recalling all legionaries! Galactic auditors are at Central. McGill has been called as a witness of all things all things by Graves. McGill speaking never goes without disaster. Yup! All downhill from there. Nice storyline with interesting side stories. Grab a book and enjoy reading.
For a long time I have wanted to read more about James and his family, friends and his life in general. Book 26 doesn't dwell on his life as a soldier as in most of the prior 25 books. Great reading finished in one day. Keep them coming Brian. All the best. Daniel Holden
The last few books I was worried that McGill was loosing his touch, or having been revived one to many times. I feel like now he is back and thr author wants him back.
Another great book in the series James gets in and out trouble in ways that's hard to imagine looking forward to the next one maybe he'll get to catch that big catfish.
BV Larsons world books had been getting predictable and… annoying. This one held to the end. Well written with the humor and style which I enjoyed from the first book. He’s back.
Always hilarious action throughout the book while McGill stumbles around for his next tail. When I want some laughs Always turn nothing series. Keep it coming Larson
I’ve read all the books and I have to admit. I look forward to seeing them every 6/8 months but my burning question is what happened to Claver. I know that he flavors monumentally to be king of the galaxy. He’s been quiet too long, time to bring him back. Bravo and thanks.
