Runa has spent most of her life running—from her past, from danger, and eventually from the mysterious man who disappeared after their one-night fling… only to leave her with a life-changing surprise. 😂 When she finally finds York, things get intense, dangerous, and definitely complicated.
And then there’s York… this man! 😂 A former mob henchman whose job involved hiding bodies is probably NOT what you want to put on a dating profile. But underneath that dark past is a man who absolutely melts when it comes to his daughter. His protective, loyal, and fiercely loving side completely stole my heart.
But honestly? Denali may have stolen the entire show. ❤️ This adorable little girly girl has EVERYONE wrapped around her tiny finger—including her very intimidating daddy. And the fact that she insists on taking at least three stuffed animals everywhere she goes? I died. 😂 York doesn’t stand a chance.
I absolutely loved watching this little family come together. This was such a sweet, emotional, and sometimes intense read, and I completely fell for Runa, York, and especially that adorable little princess, Denali. ❤️
Although… I’m pretty sure Denali and her stuffed-animal entourage were the real stars of the book. 😂

Une romance biker mignonne avec une intrigue à suspense que j’ai lu avec grand plaisir !
La mère célibataire est l’un de mes tropes préférés, j’étais donc hyper impatiente de lire ce tome … Surtout qu’on est sur une petite variante de ce trope avec une grossesse accidentelle où l’héroïne n’arrive pas à retrouver le héro, élève donc sa fille seule et finit par le retrouver des années après =D
L’intrigue était très sympa (et assez mystérieuse jusqu’à la fin !) mais ce que j’ai préféré c’est la construction de la relation entre York et Runa au fil des pages, en tant que parents mais aussi comme amants <3
Bref, une romance sexy et mignonne à dévorer sans modération !

The single mom trope is one of my favorites, so I was super excited to read this book—especially since it features a twist on the trope : an accidental pregnancy where the heroine couldn't track down the hero, raised her daughter alone, and finally reunited with him years later =D
The plot was great (and quite mysterious right up to the end !), but what I loved most was how the relationship between York and Runa developed—both as parents and as lovers <3
In short, a sexy, cute romance to devour without moderation !

York is book number 13 in the Golden Glades Henchmen MC series by Jessica Gadziala. This is York and Runa’s story.
York used to hide bodies for the New York mob before becoming a member of the Henchmen. Years ago he had a one night stand with Runa which resulted in a surprise he knew nothing about.
Runa didn’t have the best of childhoods. She left home as soon as she could and traveled from place to place. She looked for York for years after having her precious baby girl Denali. Danger has been following her, so finally finding York happened at the right time.
York is amazing! He’s a wonderful man and took the news that he was a father great. He quickly falls for his daughter and his feelings for Runa grow deeper everyday. Once he learns about the danger, his protective instincts go into overdrive.
Runa is a great mom who did an amazing job all those years alone. Sure they struggled, but she sacrificed repeatedly for Denali to make sure her daughter knew she was loved. She's understandably scared of her feeling for York, but I was glad she didn't close herself off to the possibility and miss out.
I was guessing along with York and Runa who the bad person(s) was. I loved seeing the other Henchmen and liked the addition of the new member Spiro. I love these characters and the whole Henchmen world that Jessica has created. I cannot wait to see who gets a book next. I still want Teddy’s the most!

I've said it before and I will say it again..
It makes me so happy when Jessie does some kind of surprise baby/preg troupe. It's like a sweet treat for a reader like me who loves those troupes and she does them so so well.
York is just a great man. Even when faced with a shocking reality .. He didn't shy away or deny it. He didn't freak out in some immature tantrum. No. He took it in.. Really thought it through and acted like a grown ass man and manned up to responsibility without hesitation. He was patient and kind but also firm and deliberate with his actions. He was everything.
Runa is a moma who did everything by herself. She was also level headed and did begrudge York or hold anything against him because she was a logical well rounded individual who knew the situation and understood her part as well as his. She was fiercly protective but also sweet and frankly she needed someone to come and take the load of a little while.
I loved them. Their relationship developed very organically because Denali gave them the thread that made getting to know one another outside of great chemistry and one great night possible.
They were both very mature. I loved the communication, the banter and even when they didn't agree. Everything between them felt very natural. Of course there was great chemistry too but the best part about them was the growth from being a parent. Watching York soften in a way only a child could get a hard ass biker to soften. It was everything.
Naturally I love all the side characters and everything they bring to the story but goddamnit IWANTTEDDY. I need his story like yesterday. If anyone deserves HEA.. It's that man.
Then of course.. Spiro.. I love these kind of characters .. He has me so curious.
Anyways.. I love their book. The suspense of what was happening and to come. The sweet, the sassy and the hilarious. The joy and the fear and the sweet satisfaction of them getting their HEA. Jessica killed it once again.

Ahhh. I loved this. The mystery was good. The couple was adorable. I loved the kid. The crossover was a surprise. The new character, yes. As always, I enjoy the fun, quick read this series provides. And of course I will continue reading the series as the books come out.

My Henchmen always bring me so much joy! I've been crushing on York since he appeared on the page & his story worked out to be a favorite, so yay!!
Runa & Denali quite quickly find their place with York. Finding out he's a dad makes him happier than he would have thought, too. I love that he's immediately all-in, getting to know Denny & also spoiling her. He & Runa both do a great job of balancing that aspect & Denny is such a sweetie & thankful for all the things. It's not about the THINGS (tho, whew! Toys!! 🩷), but the love behind everything. And the experiences, as she makes friends & learns new things.
The suspense & mystery are well done, kept me on the edge of my seat, & showcased both Runa & York's protective natures. 😀
We got some steam, we got lots of smiles (& some good LOL moments with Spiro...!), time with old & new friends... and a very enjoyable read!!

Great mystery going on in the background of this story. Denali is awesome. Here are some fun quotes,
“I know a fast-food pallor when I see it,” Eddie shot back, shaking his head. “I’ve got some vegetables to fix it.”
Eddie is the best.
“I saw a door at the end of the hall near her door, pulled it open, and saw a stacked washer and dryer. That, it seemed, was my breaking point.”
Yes, yes this is exactly what would cause any woman to break down. I nearly cried when I read it.
This kind of sentiment bugs me every time,
“She’s been chased across half of the United States by guys who pretty seriously want her dead.”
The guys shared a look.
“That sounds about right,” Huck said, coming in from the laundry room. “What’d she get herself into?”
It blames the woman for having men trying to kill her when underneath all these stories are men victimizing women who then have to find other men to protect them. It's the patriarchal racket 101 and it is men's fault beginning to end.
The matter of factness with which she states this breaks my heart,
“Because without York’s help, I wasn’t sure if I was going to survive long enough to watch my little girl grow up.”
It's so normalized for men to be violent to women that she's practically planning for her own murder. But don't worry, it's HEA and I loved her empowerment in the end.

Loved the characters, the plot and the ending. A woman and her young daughter arrive at an MC clubhouse to find the daughter’s father. Someone is after them and they need help. He never knew he had a daughter but immediately steps up to get to know her and help keep them safe. It is a reunion with a long lasting forever future. Interesting read. Enjoy.. HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger.

This story was very sweet and full of twists and turns. Runa is a bada$$ just like every FMC the author writes. I just loved everything about this story, Denali was adorable. The family Runa and Denali gained by finding York again were perfect. I have yet to read one of her books that I don't absolutely love.

I love being brought back to the Golden Glades world and the characters that are part of it. The mystery and storyline were perfect. Runa and York make a good couple. Denali made this book sweet on top of the mystery. York working his way into being a daddy was sweet as well. This book was totally enjoyable.
